I had read that Intel laptop graphics chipsets did not perform as well as ATI's but the meltdown of CPUs I had not seen.
If you run it 2+ hours, yes. I myself have destroyed a Gateway simply by gaming on it too much(Or more precisely, playing Second Life 2+ hours a day).
-
I have a similar laptop that can run Fallout: New Vegas on the highest settings with no lag, therefore I assume yours be able to run Skyrim on medium-high settings without issue.
-
Generally, Intel graphic cards aren't really meant for gaming, If it does run, it'll melt your CPU.
...However, my laptop definetly runs Oblivion, Fallout 3 and New Vegas no problem as I play them regularly. I know I may not have high settings for DA:O, but can I at least run this game to the state of playable? If you can run New Vegas, you should be fine. Chances are your laptop will run DA:O as well as it runs FO:NV. I have both games and I would say that they utilize roughly the same amount of resources.

I originally purchased a PS3 because I liked all the PS3 titles, such as Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy, and Grand Theft Auto. However, it seems that Sony pretty much gave away all of their exclusive franchises. Thus, my PS3 has become a glorified Blu-ray player. The 360 has never really appealed to me.

Just out of curiosity, was there any reason that a Grey Warden needed to father the child, or could it have been simply any male?
-
. What does sex of a writer have anything to with it?
The styles of male and female writing are so different, that they made computers that can tell the difference between the two(men are more objectionable, women more relational). For obvious reasons, a male view of romance will most likely be much different than a female's view.
Why do you care, he wrote the majority of the romances in Origins and BG2Those weren't good romances either.

Forgive me for the misogynistic rant, but IMO the majority of women are users in one way or another. Most women say that they care little about money, height, or genital size. However, the guys in high school with the prettiest girlfriends were almost invariably the ones with the richest parents. I myself even had dated a couple of girls simply because I had a 1993 Saturn SL(this was only two years ago when I lived in Southern California, car capital of the world). Therefore, Morrigan may have cared deeply for the warden, but as the Warden tells Alistair late in the game,"everyone is out for themselves".
David Gaider's (Morrigan's writer) wrote in the BSN that Morrigan did love the Warden and the ring was her way to say "I love you".Morrigan was written by a man, what a surprise.
You don't pull crappy things like that on someone if you love or care about them at all, you just don'tThen you have never dated the women I have. Human behavior is rarely ever rational, especially when it comes to sex. Caring about someone rarely keeps us from using them.

I had some trouble downloading Dead money from Steam, but it seems to be working ok. Also be sure to load the data files upon start-up. What pissed me off is that I got an e-mail from Direct2drive offering 25% off of the DLC the day after I bought it.

Off-topic, what is with all the anti-sheep sentiment in this forum? Did any of the TES games even have sheep? If I did have a time machine, I would try to talk some sense into Sega into making a console that doesn't suck.
-
Hai Guyz,
I watched a video of Lunar on youtube, and began to miss my childhood. I practically cried myself to sleep two nights in a row, and missed a day of work. Is there a way to acquire a time machine, or do I need to build my own?

I never understood why the Witcher people feel they are at competition with Bioware. The Witcher felt pretty much like a console RPG to me whereas DA2 has a much higher replay value, and much more open.

IMO Sonic CD had the best music of all time. It was one of the first CD console games, and the first to have actual lyrics.
The Final Fantasy series (up until like X-2), but especially Final Fantasy X. Nobuo Uematsu's work composing the music in X is frankly awe-inspiring, and to this day I can't help but shiver when I hear Someday the Dream will end, or feel a warmth in my heart at the Besaid Island music.Personally, I like PS1 era music better than PS2 era music, especially when it comes to Final Fantasy.
Morrowind and OblivionThose games has music?

I just skimmed all 8 pages of this topic, and I am wondering where are these ads everyone is talking about? I have yet to see so much as google adsense since posting in this forum. For me, the most annoying thing is pop-ups with auto-play video. Then again, I've only downloaded a few mods(and I am assuming that most of the ads appear from the Nexuses as opposed to the forums).
If I were Dark0ne, I would ban everyone from Florida, or anyone who might be from Florida. 90% of anything detrimental to humanity, and especially the internet in general(trolls, malware, viruses, porn, identity theft, credit card fraud, DDos attacks) all originate from Florida. Did you know that according to a completely unbiased study done by Al Gore, that eliminating internet access to the entire state of Florida would decrease the price of internet worldwide by at least half? 100 internets to whoever knows why Al Gore really hates Florida(aside from the obvious fact that it is a hive of villainy of course).

Meh, when I saw that I started getting bad memories of the Dungeons and Dragons movie. She looks too much like she came from a Renaissance faire. Personally, I think they should've made a DA2 cartoon instead.

So who here is excited about Donald Trump being in DA2?

I wonder, if and when we have Star Trek like replicator devices, will it be copyright infringement if I replicate myself some fake Adidas shoes? :)
In America, even some genetic strains of corn can be copyrighted. Likewise, the "design" for the shoe will essentially become intellectual property.

Microsoft would rather have people pirate their software than pay for their competitiors, as it means that platforms such as Linux and Apple are much less of a threat to thier monopoly in the software market.Apparently Bill Gates is happy that the Chinese pirate Microsoft? He thinks it increases sales over the long run because of exposure. The G20, UN and the Geneva convention are not law enforcement agencies, Interpol is international but not global. No, but they do have strong influence on international law, and because piracy is as much of an economic issue as it is a legal and ethical one, they might get involved.
I'm not sure where Assange fits into this but the chances of a court here sending him to the U.S are slim to none, U.S politicians who put their mouth into gear before engaging their brains have seen to that.
I was using Assange as an analogy, as U.S. judges essentially wanted to try Assange for crimes against the U.S. he committed while in another country.
I don't think Bill Gates would care much seeing as he retried from Microsoft...He still owns a large portion of the company in stocks, even though he may have retired from day-to-day operations. As a stockholder, he still holds a vested interest in Microsoft.
How are Chinese going to buy his products anyways? The Chinese use much of the same hardware and software that Americans do, who do you think manufactures most of our electronics? East Asia!
So why isn't there international cooperation between authorites to clamp down on it? You know, coordinated activities and such. Most likely because many countries, especially places such as Eastern Europe, are unable to afford the police forces that the developed world has. By comparison, look at the many South American countries that import drugs and sex workers into the U.S. According to my Computer Science teacher, a lot of cyber-crime(E.G. identity theft, credit card fraud) is perpetrated by people in Eastern Europe, where many have easy access to the online world, but have little law enforcement.

Despite everything, Donald Trump is defined as succesful. For some reason, I think business (wo)men run countries better.
Trump is successful at making money, and presumably other skills involved in doing so(E.G. negotiating, leadership). Business does involves a lot of "politics"(E.G. dealing with difficult people in order to get what you want, giving other people what they want so they quit bothering you), so therefore it is likely that a lot of that would translate into politics. Anyway, as I am sure Ben Kenobi and possibly a few of the other older members of the forum remember, Donald Trump's financial Empire was on the brink of collapse in the early 90s. Somehow, he managed to turn his finances around and become the person that we know today. Hopefully if he is elected he might be able to do the same thing with The United State's situation.
As far as my knowledge of history goes, wealthy business men generally make poor political candidates. Case in point would be the Rockefellers and William Randolf Hearst.

I started a topic about this a week ago, I didn't get one reply.
Okay I started a new game on normal difficulty. I havnt played this since release, but I recall getting WRECKED on normal.I too started two games about a year apart, both of them were even dual-wielding rogues. I believe that the patches since then have significantly decreased difficulty by adding not only more potions, but how effective they are. Also, you may have picked up some ridiculously overpowered DLC items along the way, especially if you played Return to Ostragar or Warden's Keep.

Torrent sites that host pirated material exist for several reasons:
1.) They are hosted in a country that has no laws against software piracy.
2.) The legal costs of tracking down every person who either distributed, downloaded, or uploaded the website to be more than the loss from piracy.
3.) Torrents themselves have been ruled by the Supreme court to have substantial legal use. Hence banning the protocol itself is not an option
4.) Aggressive legal action, at least in the case of the music industry, has left a bad public image, and have been accused of prosecuting their fans.
The internet is global, law enforcement isn't.Have you ever heard of Interpol, G20, The United Nations, the Geneva convention? Julian Assange, whom American judges are seeking an extradition to the US, might disagree with you.
It may be mostly so on our screen of perception, but not everything with torrent has to do with pirated material. There are also very official, how should i say, uses. Companies use it, NGO's , Movieprojects or if you have a really big demo for a game, then it might be you indeed stumble across torrents among other things.
The torrent protocol itself has been ruled by the Supreme Court to have substantial legal use.
Just wondering, can you name a single company that has shut down due to software pirating?First of all, that is a bit of a difficult question, because there is no way to tell if piracy or poor sales has lead to the companie's demise(I.E. would everyone that had pirated the game have legally purchased it had they the choice?) Secondly, piracy generally affects smaller companies more profoundly than it does larger ones. For Behemoths such as Microsoft, piracy is actually beneficial: for every illegal copy of Windows in existence, there is one person who isn't using their competitor's OS.

I suppose there are no referendums in a Federalist government?
*looks up referundum on google*
Well, here is what it says about referendums in American Government(I used Wikipedia because I was too lazy to look up a more legit source).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Referendum#United_States
There is no provision for the holding of referendums at the federal level in the United States; indeed, there is no national electorate of any kind. The United States constitution does not provide for referendums at the federal level. A constitutional amendment would be required to allow it. However, the constitutions of 24 states (principally in the West) and many local and city governments provide for referendums and citizen's initiatives. The most famous U.S. state initiatives are probably California's Proposition 13, which severely limited property taxes, and the Massachusetts "initiative petition" equivalent from 1980, Proposition 2½, which severely limited income tax increases. They are especially popular in modifying state constitutions.
Hence, Obama has to get at least 50% of congress to agree with him on anything. Given that Republicans currently hold the majority of the seats in Congress, and (according to left-leaning political commentators) that Republicans tend to vote along party lines, this makes it hard for many major issues to get passed.
I hope the republicans put up Sarah Palin lol...
If they do, then Obama will definitely get another 4 years in office. IMHO, she had cost McCain the 2008 Election with her own naive statements(E.G. accusing the democrats of removing "IN God we trust" from the quarter, even though the Republicans approved the design before Obama was elected.). The only reason anyone still cares about her is because is panders to the Xenophobia and frustrations of lower-income Americans.

Has DA gotten easier since it's release? Also, why so much "ma

Assuming of course that there is lighter armor available. All the high-level armors are massive. The only medium or heavy armors I have seen were Wade's armors. Whereas There were at least 3 sets of massive armor after return to Ostragar. Even Awakening was all about massive, and my rogue ran around in mage robes. I used the Warden-Commander's armor from the Warden's keep DLC for a little while(on Alistair, since he lacked the strength requirements for the other massive armors), but eventually he grew into the juggernaut plate I found in the Brecilian forest. In the OC, I never used more than 1 fighter in the party, as I preferred using Leliana(Leliana and my character both as Bard/rangers were epic wins), and Wynne(who was by far the best healer in the party, and usually much more powerful than Morrigan).
The Dalish elves make quick work of the Archdemon. If you don't have the Dalish elves, fighting the AD will be a bit harder, as the only other ranged squads available are the mages, who don't last long against the Darkspawn hordes. There can also be a few other variables that could make fighting the AD a bit easier.
