  1. I'm having a similar issue. I have a handful of Mods, everything had been working fine, then after the update suddenly no mods load. its still says they are enabled in Vortex but when the game comes up there is no evidence of any active mod, like there is a disconnect between the mod manager and game that I just cannot find.
  2. I have this mod I am working on, adding a small, quiet village around Heljarchen Hall. I have the basic gist of what I would like to accomplish lined out, but as I am new to modding I, unfortunately, lack the necessary skill to accomplish all I would like. As it is it would actually function as a passable mod, but I would like it to be more than just "Okay". A few basic things (well, basic for any of you fine, pro modders): -Terrain adjustments- there are a few areas that I most definitely need to alter to make everything sit as it should. - Pathing- So my NPC's and followers stop trying to walk through everything and learn how to use the D*** stairs! - NPC schedules- I swear for the life of me I am following everything to the T and I still cannot get the NPC residents to do what I want them to. - TEXTURE WORK- It is in caps because this is a big one! I have a few ideas I would like to implement, Such as a custom Inn sign, custom banners, a sign that says "Heljarchen Vale", and this Idea I had for the orchard near the town, a "Frostapple". Like a light blue with the frost magic effect. Also a bottle of Frostapple Cider with the same concept. A few more, not-so-simple idea's for later. -Make the town buildable (or buyable)- either through an added NPC or the Steward, pay to have each home and business in the town built. - Hireable- as it is I will be relying on the Immersive recruitment and MHIYH mods to fill in the population gaps. there are several NPC's already in Heljarchen Vale, but the point is to have some available homes to move your favorite Skyrimians in to, as well as your own staff at the Hall itself. I have no problem relying on these other mods, but an included system would be nice too. - Tax/Rent- Something that makes the town worth while. maybe simple like a chest in the Treasurers Office that gives gold to the player based on how many residents/ businesses are currently in the town. Also maybe a little profit from the Orchard. - Some Voice Acting- Not a lot and a combination of vanilla voice altering and actual voice acting would be nice to add that realistic, interactive feeling (instead of just relying on notes and journals to fill in these peoples stories.) - Personal quests- this is a long shot, but as homes are built and new residents come to the Vale, they will visit the Main Hall and hold audience with the Dragonborn, resulting in a small quest to which you can receive various rewards for the town (something like if you complete, let's say, the merchants quest you are given the choice of 5 separate banners, the one you chose being the one that will hang in the town, or the Priest will give you a choice of which god is worshipped at the temple) My goal is to make this as immersive as possible while maintaining a fairly vanilla feel, so no wild, crazy giant statues of out of place material. I am fully aware that the majority of these things will never happen, but if anyone would be willing to help me out I would be very grateful (and you would obviously get credit for your work.)
  3. I have found myself with a nearly game-breaking glitch and am in serious need of assistance! First and foremost, yes, I have modded the game fairly extensively, though I feel as if this is only a contributing factor. My issue s that, simply put, stuff has vanished! Things like chairs, beds, display cases are what I have noticed, and not all of them, but several. examples are, for instance, in Dragonsreach, all of the chairs around the main table, except the ones on the very end of each table, the Jarl's bed, but not all of the children's beds, the display cases upon entering the Jarl's wing, some benches as well. This glitch extends all across Skyrim, My own Heljarchen Hall double beds, chairs also vanished. It seems to be almost random, though it does look like the bed mostly missing is the elegant double bed, but I see no rhyme or reason to the rest. Also, several paintings have gone glitchy with the solid purple. It only seems to be effecting core game furniture, as anything added by a mod looks to still be there. It doesn't make a difference if I load an old save or even start a new game the same things are still gone, and I have removed any mod I had added after the last time I know for a fact everything was still in place, but, yet again, no change. I have scoured the internet for similar cases but have found nothing. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, can anyone help me fix it?
  4. It has taken me embarrassingly too long to decide on a mod that adds a wall around Heljarchen, even worse considering there is only like four decent ones... I would like to use the stone wall that HFHH adds, but it is not fully compatible with Heljarchen Farm. If you load them both at the same time you can see that it is sort of close, but the main path HFHH adds and the land around it that HF adds conflicts badly, but not extremely. has ANYONE came up with a patch for this, or if not could someone possibly?
  5. Okay, I'll start out by saying I have a stupidly large Skyrim Mod list. I've used TESVedit to combine various armor and minor mods, but nothing that should mess up Dragonsreach the way I have experienced. Every painting on the wall has that no-texture purple out, almost every chair is missing from the main hall, all except one at each of the long tables and the Jarls throne. In the Jarls quarters, half of the beds, chairs and every display case is gone as well. My first time going in there recently the guards even were stuck in the generic mannequin pose, but it seemed exiting and re-entering fixed that. My issue (aside from my large mod list) is that I hadn't been in Dragonsreach in so long that I couldn't even begin to narrow down which mod could cause it, especially since I have no mods that even touch Dragonsreach directly (though I do know certain mods can reach into areas someone wouldn't even consider!), and yes, I do occasionally commit the sin of adding and removing mods mid-playthrough (my desire to create the ultimate Skyrim experience through mods is my downfall). I experienced something similar to this before with all of the chairs at the Bee & Barb going invisible (they could still sit down, but nothing appeared to be there) only now the chairs and beds are simply gone. Has anyone else experienced this issue? and if so, which mod did you find was the culprit? I do know that, unfortunately, even if I do find the offending mod and remove it, doing so will not return what is already gone without going FAR back into an old save, but I still want to know. I know that my fix for this is hours of command console deleting the paintings and Jaxxon's Positioner replacing every missing item... unless anyone who has experienced this error has possibly created a mod fix for this, and if so please let me know!
  6. After some time away I have finally revisited this issue and, like Vizzurith said, it seems to be resolved by having the right compatibility patches and fully updated mods. I updated deadly mutilations as well as LOOTing my mods into the best order and have not noticed this issue for quite some time. Thank you, Vizzurith, for your help and suggestions.
  7. My good Skyrim brothers and sisters, has it ever occured to you as strange that, with all the fame and glory, the Dragonborn lives secluded in the wilderness, with only a congested house full of family and servants. Is it not odd that there is no fortifications, no security, and apparently no citizens wanting to build a home near to one of the strongest and famous hero's of the land? Why would the Dragonborn not want to be the lord of his own keep? I most certainly do want that, and, if you look into your hearts... I believe you do too. Hearthfire was widely seen as a let-down, you have the chance to fix that. Fort Heljarchen came close, but unfortunately like several other mods that begin with grand promises, was left incomplete and abandoned. I would have even accepted it if the homes had at least been navmeshed so I could use mods to furnish and move my own followers in, but unfortunately it was left for dead before the author bothered with even that. (if someone has or can Navmesh it, I would appreciate it. It would be better than nothing!) many other mods will add walls, but not much else so it feels... lacking. so, friends, I will tell you what I am looking for in my Heljarchen Keep (Heljarchen being the only one I'm interested in). A wall, first off. not wood, not decorated in bones... a stone, noble castle wall with battlements and towers and a large gate but that does not feel out-of-place around a wood, two-story country mansion (as I would like the house itself left alone.. within the wall is guard barracks (and guards, of course) extended stables and whatever else would be found in within a typical castle wall (as well as a small home for the manor servants to sleep in at night, I hate how they are ALWAYS in my home). Outside of the wall, a stone path leading up to the keep from the main road, an inn (that you can name yourself if possible) a blacksmith and alchemist, along with four or five other homes. an option to remove that Giants camp and perhaps replace it with a farm or orchard for extra income. In the end it would be so fun if all of the build options were available through the steward or building table, with the option to chose between a handful of different residents for the homes depending on the type of character you are and who you want living near you. For now, however, I would accept a built town with finished homes that I could simply place in my mod list and POOF it is there and move my own followers into (except the inn, I would likely need the innkeeper already programmed) because I have been waiting AGES for something like this . Preferably Heljarchen Farm compatible, though it is not an absolute must given the extent of the town. I know for a seasoned modder this would be simple, I however do not possess the skills needed for this task... so I come to you. If you feel up to the task of my mod request please let me know. This is my request to you, Skyrim brothers and sisters.
  8. first off, I have a highly modded game. I am completely aware that the amount of character and npc model mods are bound to conflict in certain places, but I also use MO (which I am told is supposed to help solve conflict issues). the issue I am having comes down to after a kill while looting the body (people only) the body will, I`d say roughly 60-70 percent of the time, just disappear when I take the armor. No, not the dead individual will completely vanish, I LITERALLY mean that when I remove the armor the body itself will glitch out. the head, hands, and feet will still be there still acting as though they are attached to some phantom body. Yes, it is strictly visual and doesn`t affect how the game plays at all, but it is visually irritating and completely breaks any immersion! has anyone else experienced this and, if so, which mod (or conflict of mods) did you discover is causing this?
