  1. Okay, I know this is a ridiculous game and nobody is reading this forum.. but Aloy is a bit of a psycho. And if you turn off the american voice actors and put on french or something, its a really good game. This girl is a total nutcase. She goes from being a sarcastic high school teenager from the OC or Claire from Six Feet Under. Shes enjoying a beautiful day, slipping down hillsides, picking flowers and cracking jokes to herself. Shes showering in the rain, being poetic about the weather and a bit sad. And then just start slaughtering an entire camp of people without a shred of remorse. As if its just some kind of... game. Add Aloy Of war: https://www.deviantart.com/psifiako/art/Aloy-Of-War-919187662 This way we can completely ignore the story, turn on Ultra Hard and just enjoy a good game. Thank you.
  2. Hi all! Getting CTD that happens at s specifc place in a cut scene, every time. Only ran into this issue once during almost a full playthrough, and now the second time in the final quest. Im guessing some file is missing and I should verify game file integrity through GOG. But thing is, I got a couple mods installed (ghost mode etc) and merged scripts. What steps should I take to fix this? Should I remove the mod folder before verifying? Merge scripts all over again? Or is there a simple solution? Things tried and failed: - Clean install of Nvidia driver - Game set to "prefer max performance" - Fullsceen/borderless - Vsync on and off - Fps cap removed - All overlay apps closed EDIT: Solved. The mod "Disable Fake Lights in All Quest" was causing the problem.
  3. Since you wrote this: "sometimes i get into the game and have no issues"....This to me sounds like its probably not a mod related issue. Look into your hardware. The same thing happened to me once actually, and since I was looking at the game/mods as being the problem, I missed my corrupted RAM. Also had my CPU overlocked once. Thought it was a safe one, but it f*d the whole OS install.
  4. Thanks for the reply! For anyone looking for a solution: The mod SSE Display Tweaks solved it. And now Im running 144 hz in borderless. G-Sync. No tearing. Super easy to install.
  5. Hey all! If anyone would please educate me a bit!? Question 1... I understand that ENB in Skyrim SE works in bordeless windowed mode, and this mode is the most stable to use? Not recommended to change, right? I've been having some problems with this on and off. Started out getting tearing when playing with G-Sync and display set to 144hz. But when I changed to 120 Hz or 60Hz, everything was fine. After installing the latest windows update though... Tearing no matter what I do. G-Sync is not functioning properly most like. 2. Sometimes my display is actually using 120 Hz ingame, even though Skyrim isnt supposed to support it, without modding it? Most of the time it changes auto to 60 Hz. OFF TOPIC: Also, I keep getting an issue with my display turning on and off in a lot of games.Totally random and happens immediately on launch. And when this happens: Restarting windows always helps for some reason... why!? ;) 3. What could be causing these issues with G-Sync in borderless windowed? Just wait for another windows update? Anyone else affected? The tearing is showing itself mainly on the bottom of the display and is pretty light tearing. But I hate that stuff. -- Using GTX 970 with the latest driver installed, too see if that helped. No luck. 60 fps cap activated through ENB Havent tried vSync yet. Or other games
  6. "Natural torchlight" and "Better Torches" are two must have mods for anyone using any type of lighting mod imo. Should be listed as pretty much required. With darker/black caves and nights it was always astounding that there was no solution provided. (apart from using a cat potion or a torch that mainly blinds you). Pitch black may be immersive but it just doesn't work with how the game is designed. Especially if youre stupid enough to install "Disable fake lights". Since your torch just disappears in cutscenes. lol. Now only thing thats missing is a wearable lightsource..? Or maybe a strong placeable light of some kind right? Give me a sign. Thank you to anyone (the 1 person reading this). All the best.
  7. Well if youre looking for a DS type thing I guess you looked at lock on camera and 3rd person camera overhaul as well? 3PCO - 3rd Person Camera Overhaul - Smooth Camera Follow https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/18515 To get THESE to work well with gamepad the mod author recommends turning off Skyrims gamepad support and switch to keyboard controls. Then map the gamepad buttons to keyboard controls instead using xpadder. But Im sure you could use a steam controller profile for that as well. That would free you up. You can use an xbox controller with steam big picture and search up a controller profile to use or setup your own. I havent taken this step myself yet and only using TK Dodge with gamepad.. What I did was switch places of sneak and sprint in Skyrims gamepad controls. That way you sprint by holding L3 and just clicking it will dodge. Works alright. Let me know how it worked out for you.
  8. Yes what he said. And workin very well Id say. Is this a post to remind everyone that LOOT is built into Vortex?
  9. So... Does anyone actually know if its safe to uninstall and try different music mods? In my case its immersive music Id like to switch from. Why isnt this mentioned by the mod authors? Uninstall instructions should ofcourse be provided and if its not a good idea you should just be informed at least. - Turn off music - Wait for 172 hours indoors or underwater - Make new save. - Uninstall. - Clean Save with Fallrim tools. - Install new music mod. - Get CTD as soon as you fast travel back to Whiterun?
  10. Backing up and reinstalling skyrim.. How to? Im using skyrim se with Steam, skse, enb and vortex. Any step by step guide anywhere?
  11. Thanks.. I installed The replacer version since I thought it would be the safest. Using Immersive Music right now and its pretty impressive. Guess I'll Have to keep it then.
  12. So, it appears that this guy who created Inigo can't afford to buy a new computer. This is sad. A crowdfund has been set up for the poor guy. If anyone deserves it, its that crazy ex skooma addict mod author. Who all gives us some hope and companionship through our treks through Tamriel. BUT! I would like to point out that SBCs computer now appears to be paid for and more. He could even go crazy with flashing LEDs, liquid cooling, DDR7s and whatnots. I would like to remind the community that there are real blue cats out there who has been put out to pasture. Abandoned and in need of your help. Adopt one of these cute furry animals today and teach them to use a Daedric bow or hand them some money for..audio equipment or whatever. Please. 13. Cathedral Weathers And Seasons has been working really well for me. You should check out all the mods from JohnnyWang and the cathedral community. Performance wise it is fantastic and its all very easy to install. There arent many compatible ENB though. Just one that I found. Cathedral Remastered for enb+prismatic. And its great. Im not into mod packages. Just install everything cathedral and work from there. If you want to install 200 mods I dont know how to advice you. I just dont.
  14. Hey all! Been looking into the music mods on the nexus aaaaand Im a bit lost. I really want to give them ALL a try. But I see that almost all of them offer both a replacer version and a version that adds music. Why is this? Are there any problems installing/uninstalling music mods? They dont really go into this, apart from comments I find complaining about CTDs and the mods not working. How can a music mod cause a CTD? Really?! On another topic, I feel that I am in need of a mod to give me some more silence. Feel like theres a track playing constantly. 20-40 % would be ideal. Sometimes you just want to roam the wilderness listening to the sounds around you and your new spectacular weather mod. Any kind soul around to advice me? I am not really interested in installing all the music mods in some package with compatibility patches. But If this is somehow the safest way to go? OK :/ Also, Im not interested In Jeremy Soule and his apparently shitty personal life? Only his amazing Skyrim Soundtrack. Thank you for reading.
  15. Thanks Sentinel for your input :) Anyone else who's been playing Cathedral mods and see an obvious uuuummm Cathedral Contender?
