I think if there was a way to have all modders connected by a modders forum would help. Just somewhere mod request and questions would reach all modders of the current game and not just the percent that check discussion board post. I know as a former mod creator, I have answered question and solved many people issues and I don't mod anymore. As far as sticking with a common version to help the community stay enjoying working current mods would be best accomplished if mod creators would stick with the most current stable build, noy jump quickly to the next build as soon as it is released as a new beta version. Ex. 1.2.10 is now available but 1.2.9 has been test run and considered stable. If everyone was not pushing past the current known stable version. it would help some. Everyone does have to understand that all mods created and uploaded to Nexus or any other place, may never updated by the author. (abandoned) Other modders can look into updating them, but not without making the attempt to contact original author, and giving them time to respond.
Anyway I do agree that something could be done to help the community on this subject. First thought would be one or two Nexus people that help coordinate keeping the mods to a certain version until it i9s time to move on. Mainly that 1 or 2 people modders could chat with on problems, issues, and ideas.
Modding is fun in itself, as I spent more time modding than playing most games, but enjoyed them all the same. It is also work that most do after their irl jobs. I do wish to see some kind of community chat just for mod creators and Nexus. I know a lot of newcomers give up trying to get mods working, even if is just them not knowing how to install and load them correctly. That problem is why some of us comb through mod messages to see if we can help. Like a Community.
