Thanks! Will give the beta version of SKSE a try too...see if that works in the meantime.

Sooo...did Bethesda sneak an update out? Is 1.9 live and Steam auto-updated to 1.9? SKSE is no longer working with my version of Skyrim. It's not the beta... I tried to do that originally, but it screwed everything up, so I undid it and successfully played for a while....until today. Granted, I haven't tried to play in a couple days, but /shrug. Current release build (1.6.9, compatible with runtime 1.8.151.0.*) The above is my version of SKSE (sorry it's black...copy/paste)...The only mods I've installed since I last played are "Telescope" and MadFrenchie's Thalmor quests Part 1 and 2. Help?

Very unlikely, especially the travel armor. And the screenshot linked in this forum is really old. I have one screenshot uploaded to Nexus which is what it looks like now. The Mother Confessor's dress was made despite my previous claims...but remains unfinished. Release date? Uncertain. It may not get released. As for the travel armor, it looks terrible in game. The problem is the cuts in the fabric of the skirt. Each 'piece' of the fabric physically interacts with the legs while running, crouching, jumping, etc and it bends and folds in a retarded manner. Might change the skirt to something similar to vanilla robes (with legs hidden) but probably wouldn't be for a while.

Not quite. Weighting took a very long time, and the morph mesh is taking longer. Every armor has two separate meshes a "skinny" mesh (_0) and "big" mesh (_1) in order for the Weight slider to work. If _1 doesn't match _0 perfectly (in scale), the armor "explodes" in game, or you get a CTD. The Mother Confessor's dress will not be included, at least initially. However, a white silky textured variation of the image above will be included. The problem with the Mother Confessor's is weighting. To do the armor justice, it'd have to include the long draping fabric near the elbows. That, and the dress in general, would be difficult to properly weight so the material moves in a realistic manner in relation to physics and the skeleton.

"And Erad25 dont put him down, if you have nothing useful to add then don't, The impossibility of the task must not stop us from undertaking it (Zed)." I did not put him down. Anybody considering making Sword of Truth content is great imo. BUT, you yourself said you're not a modder, so perhaps you don't quite comprehend the scale of what they're describing. This is a project that would take Bethesda a long time to create, let alone a possibly new or inexperienced modder. I'm happy to lend my work to their project if it's well constructed. A perfectly fair request. The only sovereign you can allow to rule you is reason. Passion rules reason, for better or for worse.

What you're describing is a MASSIVE undertaking. Even if you didn't add any quests or NPCs...what you're talking about is creating two lands that are equivalent (in scale) to making Skyrim and Cyrodiil. Maybe larger. The New World alone consists of Westland, the Midlands, D'Hara... If you put any effort into detail, you will be working on this a very long time, even if you have a couple people helping you. Just making the Wizard's Keep in Aydindril would be a grand accomplishment. I admire your vision and approve of the idea...but...I'm not going to approve it until seeing something. Perhaps if you got a working Midlands in place...? I don't know. Keep me informed, or PM me.

I've been modifying player races and thought I had messed something up. Glad it's Bethesda's fault.

Yeah, I have no clue. I don't really know what's making changes to the first person imagery. And I have no idea how to stop the vamp face changes. The eyes stop just fine. The cheeks...they always go from regular player generated to sunken in vampire style. I've tried just about possible option and variation and combination of options in there. I can take off the whole vampire head, but I can't take out what the head IS. Overlay head part list: Check on for Vampires. This keeps your base settings for your NPC while overlaying Vampire characteristics. Override head part list: Base Head Parts: Head parts are defined in the HeadPart section Additional Head Parts: Base additional parts that are also defined in the HeadPart section as miscellaneous objects. Available Morphs: Pertains to the number of nose, eye, and lip types available to the race. Available Head Colors: Hair colors are defined in the ColorForm list. R-clicking will bring up the colorform list for you to choose from. Default Hair Color: The starting hair color for that race - chosen from the Available Hair Color list. Hair Biped Object: Pertains to the Body Data tab where Hair was defined. Head Biped Object: Same as Hair. Pretty much all of that (from the CK Wiki)...I've altered at one time or another. I've turned on/off overlay, I've taken away listed head features (set them to none), I've set Head Parts, etc to none... I also tried "FaceGen Head," a check box in the General tab. Taking that off simply removes the entire head. The only vampire mod I'm running atm is what's included in SkyrimRedone. I was originally working on my own .esp file. Then I started wondering if it might be in the Redone esp. So I started making changes to that. I might have to reinstall that esp file...

"Overlay head part list: Check on for Vampires. This keeps your base settings for your NPC while overlaying Vampire characteristics." (Found in Face Data tab) Unchecking this option in the appropriate race of vampire (NordRaceVampire, BretonRaceVampire, etc) will sort of solve the problem of the largely disliked Vampire face morph. HOWEVER, unchecking this option is making the player invisible in the first person. For example, drawing back a bow no longer features your hands or gloves. Having a spell equipped in first person...there is no hand with twitchy fingers with a glowy spell within it. Also, I believe it's ignoring the cheek morph. Why? I don't know. I will do further testing (pre-Vampire turning-->Vampire). Any thoughts on this modders? Or if somebody else has found a known, working solution, I'm all for it.

Anyone? Right now I'm trying "No Face Morphing," an optional file by Rev11. It's not working. Eyes, cheeks and skin changed like normal. I wish to keep my default player appearance.

It is nearly done. Here is a picture of it not too long ago... http://i1246.photobucket.com/albums/gg602/erad25/confessorarmorwip.jpg?t=1336154012 However, the textures and updated mesh were lost when a hard drive went out. Once the artistic side of the armor is done, everything else is ready to ship out. The armor is forgeable, temperable, and enchantable. I also threw in a couple of books to attempt to sort of mold Confessors into the Elder Scrolls universe. The mod also comes bundled with two new powers- Confession, and Con Dar. Both are unbreakable "charm" spells that last virtually indefinitely. Confession is a lesser power, and as such, useable at will. It also requires you to be in melee range (to touch them). Con Dar is an AOE version that Confesses everything in a significant area around you. It is also flagged as a power, so it can only be used once a day. Both spells are useable on all creatures except for undead. It may not be 100% true to Sword of Truth lore, but in this case I don't really care. The wisp Shar was Confessed in the books. So anything with a soul is Confessable (Confessing dragons is uber fun, especially if you have Deadly Dragons). These spells will not be easily attainable (likely a scavenger hunt) without using the console, as they're quite overpowered. I may tweak them further to try to add a stamina loss to balance them a bit more. We shall see. As for the Mother Confessor's dress...Kahlan's classic white dress...it likely won't be included initially. In the future, perhaps. But it probably won't be much more than a retexture.

Greetings! Things are actually going quite well. I found a patron who has sort of taken me under his wing. I send him regular emails with questions and attachments of my work, and he sends back advice and revisions. I currently have the chest and boot models complete. They still need to be textured though. I may have different color schemes, depending on how tedious it proves to be. I also have the items created with the Creation Kit, with Smithing and Tempering recipes. I'm now working on a book for it...to sort of mesh Confessors into Elder Scrolls lore. I MAY create a quest for the armor as well, but I suspect that will be later if I do. I am seriously considering creating Confession as a new power. We shall see. When I get closer to releasing the mod, I'll create a new thread somewhere with screenshots and a detailed list of what to expect.

I got 3DS Max up and running. Though, it doesn't appear to be able to import NIF files. Just the robe I exported into OBJ earlier. And again, I have little idea what I'm doing, but I think I like it better than Blender. I even managed to crudely separate the top half of the robe from the bottom half. Jagged nasty cut, but...more than I've achieved in Blender.

And...Windows just disappeared. I'm pretty sure that's not supposed to happen. No task bar, no desktop. Only wallpaper and whatever programs I still had running. Fascinating.

Angry birds...And...I have a broken file. Grrrrrr....
