So...Am I to assume, since this is the furthest I've ever gotten as a Stormcloak, that there is no fix for this bug. Hasn't this bug existed since the game came out????? And they never patched it or resolved it via update, DLC, nothing? I've read a lot of forum posts and it seems if I can't jar it with one of the fixes some people have gotten lucky with, I'm looking at the end of my game? It seems that reloading an old save won't fix it either, I'll have to start over from the beginning and hope and pray it doesn't happen again? Does this bug happen when you play as an Imperial? I haven't seen anyone run in to terminal bugs as an Imperial. What a superlame sihtstory that is...I didn't buy this game so I could finish half the story like I'm watching Mr. Roger's Neighborhood, I want the damn story spelled out in front of me like I'm a braindead vegetable. To be truthful, I think Skyrim sucks. The platform is awesome but only because of it's technical aspects, the programming originally done doesn't play well with mods like FONV or either of the first 2 DragonAge games. If it weren't for nexusmods and the creativegenius that gets traded for free here, I would've turned the game into a couch leveler years ago....hell, if i'm going to imagine anything i'll imagine i'm not playing this scheisse and imagine i'm playing witcher 3 or burn out on imagining and skip over to some free porn site..yep...i'm disgruntled....help please

yeah it could be something that started as a weird or rare occurance and it'd crash but whatever it was that was causing it to crash could still be. I can't count how many times I'd create an instability in the game and then think I fixed it by removing the offending mod. BUT Nexus Mod Manager used to do a really poor job of completely removing mods, other times it was a shared file that got corrupted with a new mod installation and only partially fixed when the mod was removed...either way the 'ghosts in the system' remain and down the road you may try a mod that looks really cool and coincidentally after you install it, the ctd have gone away!!!! wooohooo, but you HATE that mod and when you remove it your game CTD even when you're not playing it...mods are like any drug...I mean uh, it's probably your timing belt. I just had to completely uninstall the game and start all over, it couldn't be fixed. If you ever restore Skyrim from a Steam backup, you're putting it all on the line, even if you back it up. Files that often cause problems are the graphic intensive mods. some one also told me, some times if you just start a new game you'll golden. Try to keep your save files under 10k per save. Forgot how much i liked playing the game instead of playing Sherlock over my insolent Frankengame The support you can get here though is outstanding and I tried to throw something at you that you might find useful down the road. Maybe the next game we love modding will be kinder to us, like Fallout New Vegas, could use a forgiving system to work with. Good luck

I'm kinda of having a similar issue, I think ours share more than a coincidence. mine was running fine, so what do I do, I sit down and play a full game beginning to end? no, I comb through new mods and change things up. but that was last week and I haven't really had time to look at all the changes. all I know is it will load any save and the one I want to play always crashes shortly after I cross into a certain area? I've tried starting rom new saves, to see if it still crashes and it does. as my character walks past the horse carriage outside whiterun it CTD, every time without fail and at the same point. I'm wondering if I messed up the landscaping here. I know its user error. but that's such a broad statement. I should try a totally new game and see how it runs, brb ,

its like being a ghost, at some point when I had switched to 3rd person view, I lost the ability, or more accurately the knowledge of how to return to my body. using the console, then retyping tpc doesn't seem to do any good at all. other times, I thought I came close. so where are the commands you can type into the console spelled out for us? i'm sure there are all types of things that would be really furn and ttremendously helpful to know about that colnsole. yes, this of course happens in relation to a sex mod. if I start 'getting to know' one of my companions, I switch over to console and type tfc so I can change the camera angle. and I can't do any thing to c hange what is happening in the sexc animation, unlike new vegas, so I come back to first person or if I wait til after the animation ends it usually auto returns me to my default view but about 50/50. anyone have any ideas? or any other places I could go to learn more about t hast viewpoint, the power and commands of the console, and if there are any interactions you can have between your partner while you are in action? during animation prosititiojn action that is? still no way to change positions? shorten your mod's time length? thanks a lot for any help, I appreciate it a lot chris aka cbusen level 23 nord long time player of DAO, DA2, FA, FANV, and Mass Effect 2 and 3 the abave listed games TOTALLY RUINED first person shooters for me...I even baought ARMA II expansions and everything, couldn't wait to get back to the modern way of way and war games, but I just kept forgetting and putting it off, ntow I don't want to play it, these damn games with mods, they did the same thing to me right after I bought modern warefare, black ops or something....hmm, I don't want that to sound liike3 a complaint thought

so is there any way to bring over sound files from fo3 playthings mod and insert them into the FONV playthings mod or are the sound files/bytes compressed differently? totally different lines? i thought there used to be a way to tweak it, but it couldn't be posted as a finished mod due to licsensing?

if you have jessi with you, you can change running speeds in the her utility./management menu/dialogue

i hope i didn't miss this problem, sorry if its been resolved or discussed and i'm beating a dead horse but when i finish the Thorn quest and follow Lucy back to her place for my reward, she invites me to lay down with her and i look at the bed and talking to her is an option and sleeping on the bed is an option, waiting brings nothing and if i hit talk she just gets up, repeats her request for me to lay down with her and she lays back down, so that unthinkable, absolutely horrible reality is staring me in the face, the evening is ending, the date went great, she's in bed without me and it looks like the night is gonna end that way... ;) but at least this time i didn't overtip anyone trying to look like money was no issue for me

I think the daupdater is in the folder that starts not in mydocuments but Programs(x86)/Dragon Age/ try the bin_ship folder, i think its in one of those folders, came with the game :) pretty sure you're right about all that

Found it. For those that need help I had to go to C:/ -> Program Files (x86) -> Steam -> Steamapps -> Common -> Dragon Age and then you see the bin_ship folder! :D

i played modded dao for about a year or i played modded and vice versa until i could take it no more...then i did DA2 and then FONV. I forgot the best and biggest mods on here, and the ones I was familiar with are not on the 'Top' lists or few of them are. I've got the Icon done, i know some commands and others are returning but... 1) many many, in fact i think all, females are showing up as just heads. the bodies are invisible and i can just see heads and sometimes gloves. What did I probably do and how can i fix it? 2)i thought i remember there being a few "GOTTA HAVE" mods for the game, what are those? I defintely feel like I forgot those or they've been replaced. Anyhow, htanks for any help you can throw in my general direction. I prepared for this though, I saved, backed up, every mod I was using so i never had to download libraries of information again. Then something went wrong and I took my sweet time making another backup in case.....yep, bam crash again, lost all on HD. :(

Yes please, me too and all that. My incessant tinkering with my mods led me into the same dilemma. So, if someone can narrow down what it is that would be great. In the meanwhile, i'll focus on trying to reinstall it, which i messed up by also btw....anyone got a copy of their Fallout.ini file?
