  1. they are, and the Arnold-esque accent really helps. lest we forget the classic.. "let me guess...someone stole your sweetroll." No lollygagging!
  2. I would start clicker-training it on the spot. Positive methods only, no punishment, nice roast leg of goat for reward :)
  3. "Got to thinking, maybe I am the Dragonborn and I just don't know it yet" And of course: " I used to be an adventurer like you ..." The guards are hilarious.
  4. I'd love to buy the 4 cd original soundtrack but when I googled it not much came up. Even Amazon don't seem to have it. Any advice, guys? I'm in the UK. Thanks
  5. No, I'm waiting for Farkas to be available ;)
  6. @4dvz This whole marriage theme in Skyrim is totally asexual, you won't find a hint of intimacy. For that reason I don't understand what exactly you find disturbing.
  7. I've lost one horse - no trace, no dead body but hasn't returned to the Solitude stables either. No "twin sister for sale" either. In fact, the dialog was there, I could buy a horse again but there was no horse saddled, only the naked one to steal. Strangely, my lost horse seems to have appeared in Riften but I don't seem to own it any more. I was so sad about it all that now I keep saved games such that I can always go back to where the horse is still intact and on a known location. I don't mind losing progress at all. I do mind mourning even a virtual horse though.
  8. Just wondering if anyone noticed it. "Farkas" is a Hungarian word (also a surname) meaning "wolf". I was delighted to discover that he IS a wolf indeed. Cool stuff
  9. Yes, improvement on horses, please! Also , a command mount would be great - I'm sick of losing them!
  10. Yepp, it seems inevitable. Sleep at any inn or Jorvaskr in Whiterun (not at home; well, my own bed in Breezehome doesn't grant me any well-rested points - just anotrher bug) for 24-48 hours and they should leave you alone with their comments. At least this worked for me.
  11. I'm a total greenhorn at modding but that being my main interest I would LOVE to see a good tutorial. I wish I could offer my help but like I said, noob coming through
  12. I like this video a lot - it has a certain dark tone. Very atmospheric. Makes you really feel that these are dark times in Skyrim. Brilliant. I prefer this to the slash and smash ones.
  13. In the manner of the crowd chanting "Imhotep" ;D
  14. Dear all, I have been planning to go to a midnight release to pick up my copy of the game. I have pre-ordered it at my local Game store so, although I will have to queue, there should be a copy with my name on it. At the store they did tell me that "there will be a LOT of people" wanting to get the game but I still felt it would be good fun to go to the midnight release. I'm now having second thoughts. Simply by reading these forums, I'm getting the impression that emotions are already running high and some people might just be a tad too desperate to get the game ASAP. (I'm not being personal at all, please don't get me wrong!) So now I'm slightly concerened about going to the midnight release. Is it safe? I really don't want to find myself among die-hard fans seeing red for whatever reason (Game store opens 5 mins later than expected, etc). Any thoughts? Cheers
  15. Oh, I really love it, very funny! (and I used to ride that dragon  )
  16. Do contact their customer service but don't be surprised if you get nowhere. In any case, it should be really easy to sell a second copy - who knows, you might even make a small profit if you wait until it's sold out in the shops and then flog it on Amazon or eBay ;)
  17. ^^ Like  40 in 5 weeks.
  18. Hehe, same here; I have suddenly become an exemplary student
  19. The new story, new world to explore and - most importantly - on HORSEBACK! I'm here for the horses :) Annoyingly, horse games are normally girlie games, or about racing and none of these interest me, I'm all for the tough life, mountains, camping out, exploration, facing the elements  . This is why I fell in love with Oblivion and I can't wait to ride Skyrim's much improved horses. I loved the Oblivion horse mods and I'm expecting some great ones for Skyrim too
  20. Thanks, I really am buying it solely for playing Skyrim. I need a few months to save up for a good PC and I'm very interested in modding Skyrim so that's the main goal but there is no way I'm going to wait until then without playing the game. Hence the decision to buy an xbox just to tide me over :) Edited to add: I only have an oldish laptop, even Oblivion struggled on it so upgrading is not an option. I'm more than happy to invest in a new, high spec desktop once I've got the money together.
  21. Hi all, I'm about to buy an Xbox for no other reason than to play Skyrim on it until I can afford a really good PC. I have never owned an Xbox before and have no idea whether there are any different types at all. My question is, does it matter which one I buy? Sorry if this is a silly question, I just want to make sure that Skyrim runs on what I buy. Any advice would be most welcome. Thanks a lot, B
  22. Recently, my level 23 character has hopelessly crashed on saving. I have tried everything, read numerous threads, comments, etc - nothing helped so with a heavy heart I started a new game and created a new character. By chance, this new one has turned out to have the most beautiful face I've ever seen. I so want to preserve it; that fragile innocence and secret sorrow, but I don't know how. Surely, there is a dataset responsible for this unique face but how can I access and read it? In other words, I'd like to be able to "read off" the algorythm of my character's face to be able to recreate it (clone it) for any future characters, should my game crash hopelessly again - which it surely will, it's only a matter of time. Could anybody help, please? I would greatly appreciate any advice. Thanks, Bluechase
