  1. Actually may be Immersive Citizens ai, or a combinations of the two mods (IC and PCaT) I thought it was this too, but after removing immersive citizens, it happened again. I do have open cities installed. I tried using the 'cleanse crimes' button in the levelers tower and surprisingly, it worked. I don't know if its a permanent fix or if it cause more problems later but using this workaround does stop the hostility.
  2. Try MO2 until vortex is done. It really is superior to NMM especially if you have 50+ mods. Usually crashing at startup means a missing master file. I forget if NMM gives you the option to untick Skyrim.esm and its DLC, did you uncheck any of those? Because that might be whats making you CTD at the title screen.
  3. Well I was crashing due to both an incorrect Ultra Trees installation, I fixed that, and Immersive Citizens was somehow causing NPCs added by Populated Skyrim Legendary (hell edition) and also vanilla ones like Uthgerd to become randomly hostile toward me. ICAIO was also CTD my game with this load order. Found a reddit thread talking about putting ICAIO higher in load order but they were talking about navmesh and path routes for NPCs, not going randomly hostile. I decided to untick ICAIO at this point and bump this in case anyone is having this same issue in future. I found another necro thread where this incompatibility was noted. So, deactivate ICAIO and its patches if you're having this same problem with populated Skyrim. Also I gained +10FPS by using Dyndolod Ultra Trees with 128 tile size texgen and dyndolod outputs. Oddly enough I generated LOD twice, once without ultra trees and once with, and I'm getting the FPS boost from Ultra Trees.
  4. Load order: core i5 6300HQ, 16GB 2133 DDR4, GTX 1060 3GB Performance is good @ 1920x1080 medium Bethini settings only dip below 40 around big cities (Whiterun, Solitude) No errors in LOOT. VRAM usage is 3045/3072 in MSI afterburner monitor. I'm thinking this is my problem but IDK if I'd be crashing or stuttering with SSE when hitting VRAM limit. This is a brand new fresh save too. It happens randomly after playing for about 5 minutes. I was playing with this load order and a few other mods using an older version of skyrim and SKSE64 and it wasn't crashing. I updated the game and trimmed a few mods and now I'm crashing with a new fresh save. SSE fixes is updated, I made merged patch properly, IDK what else to do any help appreciated.
  5. ENB isn't the problem. its only costing me 3-5 fps and load times aren't really that bad on this HDD. Something is murdering my FPS, I'm thinking its the high res LOD I generated (2048) for use with my 1080 and this 1060 is chugging with only 3 GB of VRAM. Lowering shadows and draw distance helped a little, but when I reach a densely forested area such as outside of whiterun I'm getting ~20 FPS which is pathetic. Might have to just not use dyndolod and the trees, or buy something shiny and new. I feel like I should be able to make this work, I guess I'll reinstall textures at lower res and see if that helps. EDIT: I regenerated LOD with textures at 256 and atlas at 512. Running much much better. I had forgotten I had set those values so high when making the first archives. Mods pls feel free to lock or delete this. Thanks
  6. forgive me if they are, but are your master files cleaned? if they are not, that could be the source of your ctd. otherwise, try and re create the crash. if you consistently crash in the same place, check off mods until you dont crash there anymore.
  7. Specs: Intel Core i5 6300HQ GTX 1060 3GB 16GB 2133MHZ DDR4 RAM Skyrim installed on 7200rpm HDD Copy of loadorder.txt My version is 1.4.0.2.8 I think and skse64 is 2.0.2, using MO 2 to mod. I am fine in most areas (40+ FPS) but around whiterun solitude and during heavy battles I am getting dips as low as 18FPS. One question I have is about draw distance, I couldn't find anything when I searched; with dyndolod and the trees mod installed can I lower settings in the .ini files for draw distance to increase FPS? Or will that make everything look terrible? I was running this same mod list on my desktop with a 6600k, gtx 1080 and 8 GB of RAM, and I wouldn't go below 50fps ever. Is it my hardware? I know the dyndolod settings were maxed when I generated LOD, and I think most of the texture mods have 2k/4k resolutions. I had to leave USA suddenly and didn't have any time to test skyrim on this laptop before I left, I just copied and pasted from my desktop. Skyrim works, and is generally playable but I'd like to squeeze some more FPS out of this 1060 if I can. Any thoughts or input appreciated, thanks for reading!
  8. so if I backup my .exes and the SKSE64 files, then update and it doesnt work or starts crashing, I can just copy the backups into my install folder and everything will be as it was? Or am I risking corrupted saves or some other issue I'm not aware of?
  9. Hello, my game is modded with MO 2, I think my version number is 1.3 because I tried updating my SSE fixes file but it wouldn't work with any version except 1.3 I didn't upgrade to 1.4 due to some issue with SKSE64 I forgot exactly what it was but there was some compatiblity problem that was making my game crash. My game is currently working stable with 246 plugins and the appropriate SKSE64 for my .exe version. If I update my game to 1.5 (or whatever the latest version is) and update SKSE64 to its latest version, will my game still work? I understand that question is a bit hard to answer without specifics so I'll rephrase; are there any known major conflicts I need to be aware of when updating my game to the latest version??? Thanks for responses.
  10. sounds like a hardware/firmware issue. Try updating your BIOS and all drivers. I reccomend a program called driverbooster and also advanced systemcare. My mobo required a microcode update (BIOS) before I was able to play Witcher 3, might be significant. Check your ports, make sure your GPU is plugged into the 16x slot and not a 2x or 4x slot, try another game see if it crashes same as skyrim. If other games are crashing too its definitely your hardware. Run windows update, check disk for errors. All the usual stuff.
  11. I'm using the skyrim ultra trees 2017 guide for my trees, and these floating bird nests are literally everywhere. I just markfordelete them and move on.
  12. I have 245 plugins, SKSE64 and streamed skyrim for 6 hours on thursday with not one single crash. One time I tried to load a save after I died and it said my save files were corrupted, but I reloaded the game and everything was fine. I don't think that classifies as a crash. Also, any crashes I experience with SKSE64 seems to be tied with MO2. TL;DR SKSE64 alpha doesn't seem to affect the game negatively at all. Make sure you download/manually set your .ini edit: as for specific mods requiring SKSE I wouldn't even try to go porting things myself until BETA, but thats me.
  13. obviously frostfall is popular because people like it, I must play the game differently than those people. its installed on my game but I am going to activate it much later in my play through when I dont have as much exploring to do. I do like iNeed it does a good job of integrating needs with the pace of the game.
  14. Just what the title says. I have a follower (Sophia) I left at home, and I want her to prepare meals while I'm out adventuring. The mod would take inventory of everything in my food barrel and based on the ingredients inside the follower would automatically prepare dishes and put them in a container for me. Would this be possible? edit: perhaps a custom scripted NPC 'personal chef' mod?
  15. While frostfall is a very well done mod, I find it severly limits the things I can do in Skyrim, which some may find immersive, but I just find annoying. The scale and scope of this game is huge, especially with mods, and frostfall and similar survival mods slow the pacing down to a crawl. Survival mode could be good but needs lots of testing and balancing, the pacing of needs and de/buffs would need to be fine tuned for it to seamlessly integrate into Skyrim and be something people will want.
  16. MO2 works and is functional. I'd say its still preferable to NMM, though NMM is a very convienient and user friendly way to mod. Its got a few bugs but restarting the client usually fixes any and all of them. Its not as clean and slick as MO yet in terms of stability but hopefully someone will pick it back up and tighten the screws, if they haven't already. I've used both NMM and MO2 for modding SSE and the only downside to using MO2 is this bug I'm experiencing. Otherwise, all the advantages MO2 offers over NMM are static.
  17. I streamed Skyrim SE yesterday for 4 hours, I crashed once at around the 2 hour mark and that was it, no error message. Not in the same spot in game, but MO2 wasn't running anymore after the crash. The game stuttered for a sec as if it was trying to load something then froze. I can live with a random crash after a few hours, I tried re creating the crash and wasn't able to. I also downloaded the ini file for 'lazy' users and I think that may have helped as well. In terms of the bug report, should I post papyrus logs load order etc? or just info on the error mesages I'm getting? I'm not trying to be rude just trying to assist if I can.
  18. How would I go about submitting a bug report? I think that SKSE64 has a potential memory leak, my MO2 is crashing and then skyrim is crashing after it. Skyrim either freezes and shows ~90% memory usage in task manager or it CTD with no error message. One time I got a driver stack overflow BSOD which I never got before ever but that only happened once. In either case after skyrim crashed and I'm back to desktop, MO2 is not running anymore and/or its giving me an error saying it cant write files there is not enough memory or similar.
  19. I as well would like to know how to tell which item/object/npc was added by which mod in game. is there a way to do this?
  20. Is wrye bash still using these files after I've installed them, and if not, am I able to move them to another drive to save space on my SSD? I was about to move them but I don't want to completely break my oblivion install as I just got it working nicely. Thanks
  21. It was ported at one point, but I think it was corrupting saves so they took it down.
  22. I am using DYNDOLOD with Skyrim SE and am wondering if this tweak is necessary if I have already generated LOD with Dyndolod? Performance wise, is it better to have both? Or am I better off disabling this tweak and letting Dyndolod do its thing?
  23. I'm using Nyclix ENB/Reshade , 150+ plugins and am running at 2k resolution. I game on a 40 inch 1080p TV, when I put the resolution up to 4k I get a severe performance drop. sometimes dipping below 20 in some areas. I decided to keep it at 2k to keep my FPS above 35. I feel like I should be getting better performance but it varies depending on where I am in game. Whiterun, for instance, taxes my system and I drop to the low 20's around there in 4k. Mostly everywhere else I'm at 35-40 but those dips are frequent enough that I lowered my res. Core i5 6600k@ 4.6 ghz 8 GB DDR4 @ 3200 MHZ GTX 1080
  24. the difference that SKSE makes is vast, and its sorely missed when its not there. We've been spoiled.
  25. I installed OBIS with no issue so far, bandit factions seem to be working...
