  1. @klair716;

    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Mass Effect Andromeda\ModData". DELETE. Done.

I don't usually excoriate the n00bs, but this is absolutely basic PC stuff. Not hard to find, if you know anything about your own rig.

(And If you don't, you shouldn't be trying to use mods. Stick to the official install, patches, and DLC.)

  2. @Araron;

Sounds amazing! Count me in as a player, or a tester, or maybe more.

No VO experience but I've been told I have a great "radio voice", and as an ex-soldier (20 years active service in the artillery) I know military communications jargon/patter pretty well. Love to audition for a male voice role. PM me if you're still looking.

(Oh, and my favourite single line in ME3 is from "Priority Earth". It's the throwaway radio chatter when the female soldier says how much damage Thanix missiles do. I almost chocked on my beer the first time I heard it!)

  3. I'm counting the posts from people disagreeing with Darklocq's opinion and attitude. I'm counting the posts from people agreeing with them. The results appear to be more than a little one-sided. Maybe it's just me, but it sounds like the community has spoken fairly clearly.

I also noticed that Darklocq's most recent post was made a week after asking why people were still talking about this a week after the first one, and telling us to "get over it". I found that humorous.

And I had to laugh when I read the part about wanting the Nexus to restrict what mod authors can do regarding their own mods Another example of "just not getting it".

  4. Hoo-kay... So what phone are you using, with what browser to reach the Nexus forums?

As I said, displaying the Edit option (or Quote, on someone else's post) is as easy as pressing the screen for me.

Same for me. As I demonstrate by quoting Thandal from my phone that way.

And now I add this by using "Edit" the same way.

  5. @JimmyRJump; Thank you! Thank you! Wish game publishers would provide real users' manuals with detailed instructions, but they almost never do anymore.

Edit: Would you believe I played my first time through without leveling any of my squad mates' skills at all, and it wasn't until the Insanity run that I figured out how to equip consumables?

  6. Total n00b question, although I've played through four times (Normal --> Hardcore --> Insanity --> Normal) and searched the forums and the web unsuccessfully for this issue:

How do I reassign what's in the three "Power" slots?

I've maxed-out Ryder's skills, have the Level-6 abilities in all three "types", (Combat, Biotic, and Tech) and at Level 132 now have an excess of 13 points unspent. But way-back-when I selected Incinerate, Overload, and Assault Turret as my "Powers". Those three, and ONLY those three, are allocated across all profiles. I don't even see any other options when I open the "Profile" screen.

I simply want to swap one for ZAP, and can't figure out how. ea_frown.png

    L'il help?

  7. maybe because more and more people are looking for mods on other sites other than the nexus and they thought this would win back those users? People just want a download link to the mods and don't care so much how cool the website looks

Yeah, from all those other sites with 13+ million members (an over 30% increase in the past year) and over 237,000 files for over 470 games.

People are just flocking to them.

  8. @AdenYeshua, Oh good. You did see yourself. For a bit I thought even that much self-recognition was beyond you. (Did you happen notice that the only one name-calllng is you?)

Now if you could Just. Drop. It. Like everyone, including Qwinn, has been asking, telling, or hoping for over two pages now. (Any bets? I've got the "Nope" side.)

  9.

@Qwinn; Really, really wish that you could set a certain user as "blocked from posting" in a forum thread the way you can in a mod's comment thread. Would have shortened this one by several pages and saved you much aggro.

Oh, well. When you're ready, ask the moderators to lock this topic with a pointer to the mod's page and you'll be able to do that (as well as delete ignorant or inflammatory posts) yourself.

Perhaps you ignored the "Invincible ignorance" "stupid" "the Melodrama" and various other posts have thrown my way, looks like you have. Unless the invincible ignorance was directed at himself as it's unclear since that is the only thing posted. If it is you should cut that out name calling is not nice.

As I'm sure you've noticed in your infinite wisdom this entire topic has been hijacked, funny enough somebody can make a pretty good case for this being the most off topic, derailed a thread on the Nexus. This topic was about a guy who couldn't find a link to the 2.0 fix on Biowars forum. Anything beyond that is off topic. The Sad thing is we don't know if that man ever solved his issue. lol Anyway, you can't technically "take" that man's thread away from him.

As the topic is no longer about even 2.0 fix I'd recommend it's very own support topic. Also, backseat moderation (what your doing) is also against the rules.

You've also overused the word aggro.

May I recommend "Qwinn Ultimate Fixpack 3.0 BETA Discussion and Support Thread"? It's a little long in the tooth but I think it gets the job done.

The acronym "QUF" could also technically be used... but it sounds like "Qwiff" which is not good.

@AdenYeshua; If the shoe fits... :whistling:

  11. Oh, I have been "following what's been going on" with this mod since the beginning. All 85 pages and counting. And, like many others who haven't commented, I've been waiting for Qwinn to say that ver. 3.0 was ready for prime time before trying it. But the absurdity of your statements, combined with the passion of your defence of them when challenged by the facts, caused me to chime in early.

I wasn't "cheerleading" for him, I was calling you out. Big difference.

You didn't "challenge his thinking" in any meaningful way. You caused him to waste over a day considering and refuting your nonsense. And the only one in need of a Xanax is, well, you. The rest of us are either amused at your antics, or tired of trying to explain how misguided they are. (Or both.)

  12.

I've spent the last four months combing every square inch of this game, and yet you felt that your memory was superior, even after I had to repeat that they don't exist half a dozen times. And this, you previously called "respect".

This is what I mean the arrogance, by your own logic you've done it, that it, you've fixed all possible bugs and found absolutely everything. "Because you've played it" incidentally meaning you can be told nothing. That is your logic, isn't it? You can only have it one-way Qwinn.

Forget it, Forget I even live.

Melodrama aside, you don't belong in that potential you are trying to include yourself in. As you did not intro with these points when you started proving this is not what you originally thought. Only after digging did you finally come to this theory.

Edit: I have changed my stance more times than I wanted to. First I thought that it was simply a mistake as did everyone else I have come into contact with, hence the mod, then I changed to the church might have had some involvement, then I changed again and realized that Templars could help others autonomously, then I changed again and realized Redcliffe may have made an effort.

What I can't leap is the "giant" effort you are trying to illustrate. Just isn't there. I know you believe in Genarivi without guards or any real help outside of some unknown amount of funding. What if it was a single copper? Would you stick to your story? The thing is you don't know. You're making it up. People often project themselves it is you that's unmovable, as pointed out not me.

No, AdenYeshua. I think the point is not that Qwinn "knows all". It's that because of the enormous amount of detailed work he has done over the past several months he can easily provided copious amounts of in-game evidence for his positions. You, on the other hand, have provide almost none. In fact, you seem to have mostly relied on your (erroneous) memory and (apparently unlimited) ability to invent motivations, events, and circumstances that simply aren't present in the game at all.

  13. You claim I don't know what I'm talking about yet you make a false assumption about Mordin's VA. We all make mistakes. You may think you're some expert, but don't let it go to your head.

I made it clear I was speculating, not stating something as fact, (as you did about who voiced Liara in ME2/3/A.)

And in fact, I wasn't "mistaken" at all. I was correct, just not complete.

It might have been a more complete explanation to have said, "Michael Beattie was not available... at the price BioWare was willing to offer."

  14. <snip>

It was always terrible. ME1 had an OK actress, but they went with a different one for ME2 and 3. Same actress in MEA. Wooden and monotoned.

No. The same person (Ali Hillis) voiced Liara in all three previous ME games, as well as in ME:A. Personally, I found her to be the perfect counterpoint to Shepard. She is also the voice of Lightning in the Final Fantasy-series, among other projects. See her credits on IMDB here.

And the same goes for (almost) ALL characters who appeared in more than one ME game; Anderson, Tali, Wrex, Undina, Dr. Chakwas, Grunt, Admiral Hackett, Miranda, Jacob, Ashley/Kaidan, Thane, Jack, Aethyta, Garrus, Capt/Maj Bailey, etc. Even Kolyat. And Dr. Chole Michel. And the guy on the Citadel trying to get a refund for his defective omnigel converter. (Not to mention Martin Sheen and Jennifer Hale/Mark Meer.)

BioWare went above-and-beyond to maintain continuity.

So if you don't know what you're talking about... Don't.

EDIT: The only one I know was changed was Mordin. And I presume that was because Michael Beattie was not available for ME3.

  15. You lost me at, "... guessed accurately about what I'm implying" since you seem to to be trying to dismiss the previous post with doubletalk about how modders and players should behave, not how they do behave.

  16. Not really keen on these giveaways that are only done in the hopes more money will be made from views/sales.

Wait? What? The whole reason giveaways are done is in the hopes of more views/sales to increase revenue (or, in the case of non-profits, contributions.) That's the ONLY reason they're done. (What planet do you live on?)

  17. Could we get a room for mod reviewers?

    Please, Dear God... Noooooo!!!

The amount of garbage that gets spewed back and forth any time someone says they don't like a mod is unbelievable. There's a reason the Nexus doesn't allow that sort of thing. Let's keep it that way.

  18.

It has been 6 months, half a year, since this was originally posted and the bug still persists! For shame!

Actually if you read the previous posts the issue was unrepeateable (aka not a bug, probably user error) that's why this thread didn't have any new posts on it for six months. However with the redesign, similar issues have been cropping up again.

You seem awfully eager to cast blame and shame people with very little cause :armscrossed:

Yeah, incredibly eager for someone who appears to have been a member for over five years. Plenty long enough to know how proactive the Nexus folk generally are.

Maybe someone left themselves logged-in on the family PC? :whistling:
