Yup. The best name suggestion I've read yet, and it's not a silly acronym! Helix is pretty close, but Vortex fits the Nexus logo better, in my opinion. +1, Kudos to TheShoxter!

I was a heavy smoker for about 11 years, started with 14 as well. I stopped smoking for about a year in 2013, but started smoking again due to a lot of stress, passive smoking and a lack of willpower. This April I switched to "vaping". It took me a while to get used to, as it feels slightly different compared to smoking, but nothing too bad. Now I breathe much, much better, have a lot more stamina, and don't cough anymore. I started on 12 mg nicotine, now I'm down to 9. I don't think I'll completely stop, as I enjoy it quite a bit, but I plan on further reducing the nicotine concentration step by step, and finally getting rid of nic altogether. Since I mix my liquids myself, I'm down to about 10% of the cost of smoking (I always rolled my own cigarettes - if I hadn't, the cost decrease would be far more dramatic). I admire your attitude. Best of whishes to you and your loved ones!

It's the Studded Armor, along with an Iron Helmet, Iron Gauntlets and Iron Boots. In the promotional pictures/trailers, he's also equipped with a Steel Sword, alongside either a Steel Dagger or Banded Iron Shield. His face seems to be the first male Nord preset, along with light brown hair, and pale blue eyes, if that's of any relevance to you. Good luck with your cosplay!

Discussion: BSA files don't work with Fallout 4.
3st90 replied to DaDump's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
For me this is not necessarily about getting them to work, I have no problems with waiting a few months before official tools for packing proper archives are available. I just want to know if I'm the only one/one of just a few people that .bsa texture archives don't work for, or if Fallout 4 doesn't recognize them in general. I was hoping someone knowledgeable might be able to confirm either of these possibilities. -

Do you still have loose files in your /Data/texture sfolder, by any chance? They'd override the archives. I tried it again, and it didn't work for me. Honestly I'm not sure where anyone got the idea to use .bsa files? They moved to a new format with good reasons, no sense in supporting the old format for the game. I don't know either, but I think the idea was to speed up access times on big retexture projects (In the gigabyte range) compared to loose files, and bridge the time until a .ba2 packer is released. -

Bump. Does anyone have an idea? Any experiences regarding textures in .bsa archives for this game? -
Awesome idea! Sounds like part of a pretty good DLC.

Game won't load .bsa texture archives... Help?
3st90 replied to 3st90's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
While I start to believe that this holds true for textures packed inside .bsa archives, the mod "Time on loading screen" comes in the .bsa format as well (no textures included) and works perfectly fine, as mentioned above. Considering vanilla .bsa archives have always been somewhat compressed, it's no surprise to me that the new .ba2 format is compressed as well. As far as I believe to know, there are two "types" of .ba2 archives, one of them being optimized for textures specifically (I read something about this on the net, unfortunately I can't quite recall where). I'm kinda glad to see that I'm not the only one unable to get .bsa texture archives to work, though. I kinda felt like the odd one out inbetween all the reports of huge performance improvements using certain mods. Thanks for your post, please keep it coming as soon as you find out something new! -

Game won't load .bsa texture archives... Help?
3st90 replied to 3st90's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
So at least I know it's probably not just my game acting up, very curious. DaDump, I couldn't tell you for sure, since I never packed .bsa-archives myself, except for a few small test achives, including very obvious textures, to see if I could get them to work with Fallout 4. Pretty sure I downloaded a mod or two including textures in .bsa archives for Skyrim and even Oblivion/Fallout 3/NV though, and if so, no problems at all. -
Game won't load .bsa texture archives... Help?
3st90 replied to 3st90's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately, reverting/opting out doesn't fix the problem, so I'm going back to 1.2.33. Also, the update doesn't "disable mods" per se. It just removes the hidden data files selection, and updates the plugins.txt with blanks when using the launcher to start the game. No such problems when launching via NMM, or even directly via Fallout4.exe. -
Hello there, I have a slight problem. My game (1.2.33) completely refuses to load .bsa texture archives. Good mod examples including these would be "Optimized Vanilla Textures" and "Wasteland 512 Textures". Both of them use a dummy .esp to load the archives. They don't work for me, regarless of load order, manual/NMM installation or how often I re-check the .esp files (In NMM that is, since the 1.2.33 update diables the hidden file selection in the launcher.) Every other mod using .esp files works just fine. Loose texture files files are no problem at all, and load as they should. I also installed "Time on loading screen", which includes a .bsa that needs to be added to the archive list in the fallout4.ini, and it works without problems. Adding the texture .bsa-archives (since the dummy .esps do not work) to the list, however, doesn't work, the game refuses to load them. I quadruple-checked that the files are in the correct directory (Fallout 4/Data/OVT - Full.esp and Fallout 4/Data/OVT - Full.bsa for example), but nothing I do gets the game to load them properly. I even tried packing textures to a .bsa-archive myself, using Archive.exe from the Skyrim CK, and getting them to work, to no avail. After about 5 hours of unsucessfully searching google for a solution, and repeatedly trying different .bsa archives, it goes without saying that I start to become rather frustrated. Oh, and I deleted my textures-folder prior to testing. So no overrides there. Edit: I also uninstalled any other mods. Does anyone have an idea what could be wrong? Haven't found this request before. Yes, please!

I second this. Good idea.

Hello there, I've seen one or two mods on The Nexus that alter the amount of experience points earned from different sources (combat, crafting, exploration et cetera). I'd much rather see a mod that disables experience gain altogether, though. This would be very useful for people who would like to introduce an artificial level cap, or simply stop leveling up after every perk in the game has been aquired. Maybe someone could even mod an adjustable level/experience cap, so the mod could be active all the time, rather than just activating the mod on the disired level? No clue what's possible with Fo4Edit, since the official tool is still on the horizon. Just a little idea from someone who could really use this. I'd love to be able to cap my character to level 50 or so, so every perk point counts, and I can spend as much quality time planning my character as I did with pre-DLC Skyrim, for example. Thanks everybody, have a good one!

I endorse every mod I like, meaning every mod that I don't uninstall immediately after testing it. If I had to estimate, I'd say I like (and endorse) about 80% of the mods I download. Although I have to admit that I'm lazy as well. Since I can't endorse the mod immediately after trying it (I like my game to feel vanilla, so I mostly use simple, lightweight mods that don't require a long period of testing for me to determine if I like and keep using them) I often forget to endorse the files. If it weren't for the NMM, half of the mods I use would still wait for my endorsement. -
I'd love to see somebody hunting dragons with stuff like that.

Why not? As a standalone weapon it would fit right into the weapon mod category. I agree with you in relation to the speed change, though.
