Ill Met by Moonlight/Bloated Man's Grotto
NeonPeanut replied to Myrolash7k's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I do not have any other quests that point to the Grotto, I am level 6 and only have done some quests around whiterun and found myself in falkreath. Doesnt seem to be a an issue many people seem to have encountered. I have tried searching on the Skyrim Wikis, Steam community and Reddit. I guess I would just have to skip that quest, or just use the console command. I ran into the exact same issue yesterday. I have no idea what's causing it. I ended up using the console to enable Sinding in the Grotto, agreed to spare his life, and then forced the Kill the Hunters objective to complete. Hircine fixed the ring normally when I exited the Grotto. If someone knows of a way to force the initial cell change, that'd be an even more ideal solution. EDIT: By the way, what's your mod list? I don't have any mods that blatantly impact the area or quest, but there could be something subtle that we're not noticing. -
As the title says, I'm having some trouble when it comes to the draw distance. I have a high-end machine, so I keep settings at max, and I also use RAEVWD. The issue is that whenever I move into new cells (especially in the wild), I get very noticeable pop-in for trees, grass, large rocks, etc. it wouldn't be a big deal if it was just grass and smaller objects, but it's like half the forest just spawns into view when I step across the threshold into a new cell. I've read that a lot of this is just due to limitations with the game engine, but I wanted to know how other people deal with it. Are there other mods available that could help, or at least make it less noticeable? It's pretty distracting.

Hi. there. I've been in the process of remodding my game after several years of time away (and a computer upgrade), and I'm noticing a small issue that I haven't been able to correct yet. When I have water reflections on, static and tree reflections flicker if I move while looking at them at a distance. https://imgur.com/a/fKO9hVZ For the above screenshot, the reflections of the rocks directly in front don't seem to flicker at all, but the ones in the background do. The landscape reflections are fine at any distance. The Waters of Life Glitch
NeonPeanut replied to NeonPeanut's topic in Fallout 3's Mod Troubleshooting
Yeah, I knew that the merged patch HAD to be last. I just didn't see any harm at first because the three mods were all fairly small and didn't change much. Guess I'll have to fix that... -

Thanks for the info. Do you have any idea why I would experience the glitch in Taft Tunnels? I did delete the .ini and saves when I uninstalled Fallout 3. -
The Waters of Life Glitch
NeonPeanut replied to NeonPeanut's topic in Fallout 3's Mod Troubleshooting
You know what, here is my load order: When I really think about, I am probably just being stupid. The first time I played the game it constantly crashed because I didn't know about the Master Update, and therefore didn't Master Update at all, so now I Master Update all my mods. That is probably my problem. I just don't know which ones SHOULD be Master-Updated and which ones SHOULDN'T. -
The Waters of Life Glitch

OK, so I deleted everything Fallout 3 related and reinstalled the game because I couldn't get it fixed. This time I just opted out of using the patch, but sadly, it still happened. I went through the game again and still got stuck in the giant cluster. I don't understand it. I deleted EVERY single piece of Fallout 3 related stuff, and it still glitches up. -

But, I disabled the UF3P Broken Steel plugin and master-updated it and tried again. It still happened. Do I need to start load a save earlier on in the mission, or what? -
crashes makes f3 unplayable
NeonPeanut replied to carnagevisors's topic in Fallout 3's Mod Troubleshooting
Computer specs? Load order? Any info could help us answer your question. -
OK, I just got to The Waters of Life quest and have just watched my dad die, but when I go to escape with Doctor Li, I enter Taft Tunnel and am greeted with a massive cluster consisting of dozens of items, the scientist NPCs, and a few feral ghouls. I can't do anything and become basically stuck. Now I have already figured out from a few other sources that the cause of the glitch is the Unofficial Fallout 3 Broken Steel Patch. I have already tried one fix and tried disabling it. Both times I reloaded a save just before I enter into the Project Purity control room to see my dad die. I exit with Doctor Li to escape and see that neither thing worked. What I want to know is, should I reload a save earlier than that? Is there a fix I am unaware of? I really don't want to lose this save, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

OK, I have Broken Steel and want to play through that after I finish up the main quest. What I want to know is, is it possible for the Lone Wanderer to activate Project Purity and still be able to continue on with Broken Steel, or do you have to send in someone else? I haven't found a definitive answer anywhere yet.

Fallout 3 Crashing on Windows 7
NeonPeanut replied to NeonPeanut's topic in Fallout 3's Mod Troubleshooting
OK, so I tried running the game in compatibility mode, and I tried running the game as administrator, but it still crashed whenever I tried to save. All I can find on Google are people whose games crash on start up, which I don't have a problem with, so the only thing left I can think of is CASM. I don't know...might as well try disabling it... EDIT: Still crashes when I try to save. Whats weird though, is that it seems to be able to auto save just fine, which doesn't make any since. I am totally confused now. Does anyone have an idea? -
Fallout 3 Crashing on Windows 7
NeonPeanut replied to NeonPeanut's topic in Fallout 3's Mod Troubleshooting
I use FOMM and BOSS, and here is my load order: -
OK, so I recently started playing Fallout 3. I had gotten it on Steam while it was on sale and... modded it... before even playing it... on Windows 7. I KNOW that was stupid, but I made sure to take as many precautions as I could, and I have Oblivion GOTY, which works perfectly fine even though it is heavily modded. Now, when I started a new game, it worked fine. I got through the entire "tutorial" mission set and even wandered the wastelands and Megaton a good bit. Sadly, while I was visiting a shopkeeper, the game just randomly crashed. I started it up again and tried to save, but then it crashed again. I have already implemented the .ini fix and dealt with the UAC problem, and I use fose, which should already have Windows Live disabled, so I have no idea what the problem could be. I've checked my mods and they are all loaded properly and are compatible with one another, so I don't understand why it would just randomly crash. If someone has any earthly idea what in the world I could do to fix it, please, tell me. I never had to deal with this with Oblivion, so this is making me anxious. :S EDIT: Oh, I forgot my specs. Silly me. Here they are: Processor: Intel Core i7 CPU 960 (Quad-core) RAM: 12 GB Video card: ATI Radeon HD 5670 (Basically, this game should work wonderfully from a performance point of view...)

How did you install it? What did you do exactly? I used to use Natural Environments, so I may be able to help with this problems.
