I've removed the offending mods but the same problem still persists from starting a new game.

Hi, currently I have a problem where I am able to load into a save or any instance of the game, however after doing so cannot proceed. Keyboard buttons for in game are not responsive such as basic movement, opening console, and the esc menu. The only thing that is responsive is mouse movement and clicking. Interaction with nearby objects and NPCs does not work either. Currently the only thing I am able to do is alt tab out of the game. I have taken steps to properly uninstall any recent mods but there hasn't been any progress. If anyone is able to help out it would be very appreciated, as I don't have a backup for the most recent save and am unsure if making a backup of the save in its current state is a good idea before reinstalling Skyrim.
