The issue isn't that you cant equip and make use of weapons, the issue that would need to be modded in is that when you equip a weapon you are unable to use unarmed attacks with your main attack, and with certain feats, levels and items your unarmed attacks end up doing more than weapon attacks, so it would be nice to have the choice to use an unarmed attack even when you have a weapon equipped.

I would like to be able to use my unarmed attacks on my monk even while wielding weapons to make use of items and feats that boost unarmed without having to give up the weapon slot.
