  1. Hey Folks, Anyone care to share their perfected Vanilla Armor and Clothing Meshes and a corresponding Bodyslide preset with the community? Now, my reason for asking for this specifically is simple. Nexus has a million mods adding a million pieces of Clothing to Fallout 4, no mod is yet to perfect the fitting aspect of Vanilla assets. I'm not saying that extra Clothing mods aren't great. Caliente's great CBBE mod has given us a lot of power, but its time consuming and quite frustrating to mix and match Bodyslide presets and their corresponding Meshes to get the flawless Vanilla clothing experience. Thing is, no matter which Meshes you end up with, Underarmor shapes and sizes never play well with Vanilla Armor Sets, so the only step is to go through every combination, and Outfit Studio the hell outta your Outfits to find the best mix. "Take for example, the Army Fatigues. Their mesh is broken in Vanilla, so you will see clipping on your characters back with any armor set you ware. This can be fixed in Bodyslide by decreasing the Backsize in Bodyslide. As another example, the Baseball uniform has a Bigger bottom than most Underarmors, so it clips with any Vanilla Armor set with a low lying bottom segment around the bottom. This too can be fixed in Bodyslide. Then look at the Leather Armor, it just causes clipping issues with any most of the Underarmor in the game. So go pop on some Vanilla Armor on your character and try five Vanilla Underarmors and you will see Clipping guaranteed, even with Vanilla assets." Now, I'm sure someone has already taken the time to work out these kinks with Bodyslide and Outfit Studio using their preferred Preset. Some modders such as Kuun and Tielebras have released so-called packs with their own Outfit Studio outfits, however both of these packs still have all the clipping issues mentioned above. CBBE's default meshes still have the above mentioned Clipping issues. Trust me, I have tried every mod out there stating that this is what they do. I use the default body weight, I follow all instructions, I do everything suggested in the forums, and Nada. Such a mod does not exist. "Wouldn't it be great to add some new armor and clothing knowing that your Vanilla experience is more satisfactory first? Walking around the Commonwealth, meeting an NPC with 'Clipping' is super immersion breaking. That's pretty much why I'm asking." Has anyone managed to come close to fixing the Vanilla Fallout 4 Clothing and Armor experience yet? Would you care to share your work? Some Meshes and a Preset would be amazing. Some corresponding Outfit Studio projects would also be mad. Anything would be amazing. P.S. This is not a rant. It's simply desperation.
  2. i think its a vanilla bug. I tried a similar thing without the issues being resolved. There are actually more under-armors which have similar, however less severe clipping issues, especially with leather armor. I just posted about a few hours ago. Looking for a CBBE setup which fixes most of these back clipping issues, but no one has responded yet. The below mod fixes the issue you mentioned, but doesn't work too well with CBBE. Take a look: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/17644/?
  3. So, I was wandering whether anyone in the modding community has come across a mesh setup which eliminates most of vanilla Armor clipping? I've spent the past few days trying to combine mods, such as CBBE, different pre-made meshes and Bodyslide presets, in an attempt to eliminate armor clipping for my next playthrough, but haven't had any luck thus far. For me, underarmor can easily be made to stop clipping with the underlying body, however when adding an armor set to the mix, things get a little bit harder, and with my limited knowledge of Bodyslide and Outfit Studio, its been a tedious struggle so far. To mention a few examples, some which are also prominent in a unmodded vanilla setup, clipping most often seems to occur on the characters back, on the chest near the neck area, and sometimes under the characters arms. A good example is Leather Chest pieces, which clips with most underarmors which are not skin tight (e.g. Athletic armor, Long Johns). Army fatigues are bugged with all armor chest pieces. Anyhow, so what have I tried. Like I mentioned, I installed CBBE and Bodyslide. Tried included CBBE vanilla meshes (CBBE Vanilla and Curves), tried Kuun and TIEs pre-made meshes, and whichever others I could find, tried a lot of presets including Specimen 2. Tried changing values and batch building in Bodyslide, tried Outfit Studio manual tweaks, but like I said, my knowledge of these tools are very limited at the moment. No luck whatsoever. Clipping on the apex of the back, which is the main part of the character you see when playing in 3rd person, is almost impossible to get rid of. So, I'm hoping someone has some great pre-made meshes they have uploaded somewhere which does away with clipping issues. If not, is it possible to shrink the CBBE body without affecting the armor in Outfit Studio, so enough room can be made for any underarmor. Any help would be great, even though most of you are busy adding bugs to your games instead of getting rid of the ones Bethesda left for us to deal with.
