I think it's reasonable to say that the community doesn't like this change to the UI. Personally, it looks awful and should be redesigned entirely, preferably just a little touch up of the old UI. Right now it looks like I made it in HTML5 back in 2019 for a High School class. I'm not saying I could make this site, I'm saying it's bland and unimaginative like that of a "for the credit" High School project. It looks like a company about to "modernize" their branding by getting rid of their highly identifiable logo and replacing it with the company name in a basic font. And they can do that because their brand is too large to be hurt by such a change. Similar to how there isn't another site comparable to Nexus that people can flock to when a bad change happens. A part of the community doesn't like this change to varying degrees, though I've yet to see people praise it.
While the UI is being developed and tested out I believe it would be beneficial to the community for there to be an option to keep the old UI, the good UI. Listen to the community on this one, the site doesn't mean anything without the community's support and continued use. It makes it hard to want to use when the community doesn't like how it looks.
