  1. ... really? No answer in two years?? I would really like to see this mod! Keywords "survival" and "immersive"... While youre running or jogging you use less AP as you would sprinting - tadaaa: theres a reason to walk - to recover AP! Edit: Heres "No Infinite Running Anymore" a solution for F4SE user but its got its limitations: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/34881
  2. Still interested! there are: T.A.S. https://www.nexusmod...t4/mods/15450/? Portbl Craft Tool https://www.nexusmod...t4/mods/11783/? But nothing more convenient? Bethesda, why..? :'( :D (same topic: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/4141435-changing-weapon-mods-in-the-field/ )

  4. Hi JackWallace! I dont know if i understood correctly (english isnt my first language) but ill try my best! :) At first you can drag and drop those references, if you want to carry over sth, do you understand what i want to say? Also normally you can edit manually by double clicking the reference or parameter. But as far as i know not everything which is marked as error by xedit is actually a problem. Sometimes modauthors particularly mention that xedit will mark sth as error but theres no need to worry. You could try to contact the authors of the mods you merged/which caused this error message. if you have the feeling that i can still help you, just pm me otherwise its possible that i wont notice your answer :) if i could help feel free to give kudos! Thanks and have fun!
  5. Still no mod out there which replaces energy weapons? Im absolutely sure there are a lot of players who would like the idea! You could replace BoS and Institute laser rifles maybe with mod guns like M16 etc or AUG or sth like that. There has to be someone who already did sth like that for himself! Please... :D read it and share it!
  6. Im still looking for a "no Energy Weapons" or "Energy Weapon replacer" mod which replaces EWs with ballistic guns or grenades, mines and makes them absolutely rare and uncomon. Didnt find anything and i didnt had the time to do it myself... Anyone who could change every vanilla EW reference (which is easily changeable) to a ballistic one? Laser turrets to mg turrets, plasma grenades to frag grenade, laser rifle to pipe rifle and so on. Change leveled lists so raider spawn with other weapons - mabe with dlc weapon integration? What about robotparts? You could add the option to increase significantly the damage of the few still existing EW for extra spice. Any ideas how to do a complete mod that? I think a well done mod like this could really improve the game feeling for me and a lot of other players. Could also improve performance in battle situations where you normally could see a lot of laser beams which can hit fps on low end pcs. Completely lore friendly with for sure still a couple of (maybe storybased or scripted) energy weapons ingame! Feel free to text me if youre interested in (making) a mod like this or have other essential ideas ;-) Bye! Mike Grauohr
  7. Hi! Maybe add the words GECK or Creation Kit in the title - i thought you dont know how to setup a generator and a lamp ingame... Sorry cant help, havent used it so far. Mike Edit: Well thats awkward. Next time im gonna look out for tags - sorry my fault :-)
  8. Hi - sorry but i dont have time (atm) for reading through your whole loadorder (aside from that its too long since ive played/modded FO3...sadly enough), but i can suggest generally a few things: - double/triple check MANUALLY if installation went alright (can think you did already... but you never know!) - check the sites of your biggest mods which alter the worldspace (just like the weather mods do) and look for patches, notes etc - put the weather mods at the bottom of the load order (what youve already done as far as ive seen). - check for conflicts using Fo3Edit (if youve never used it: its a really, really great tool - couldnt play fallout without anymore - and there are really great explanation videos on youtube, its really not as difficult as it looks; i think theres a tutorial made by gopher?) - create a merged patch with fo3Edit (again - if you dont know how - check for tutorials for example on youtube) - I dont remember what mod manager i used for Fallout3 but have you already tried Nexus Modmanager? Im currently using it for Fallout4 and aside from some minor bugs its really good in my opinion! Dont give up! if you really like Fallout3 (and why the hell else should you still play it?) its worth it! Good luck with your mods and in the wasteland! Hope i could kind of help... maybe soon somebody whos still into Fallout3 and knows your mods can help! Mike
  9. Nice! Guys - youre great! Thanks for telling me of the throwing weapon mod! Kudos to you, Ekayne! @ Flipdark - sounds great! Good luck with modding - you can let me know if youve uploaded it!
  10. Hi guys, just wondered why there isnt the possibility in the game to throw a stone. basically i just wanted to improve my granade-throwing-skills without wasting actual grenades (just started the game... and i will sure not use the throwing ark!) and then i remembered that you could do it in far cry to distract the enemy. And maybe it could be a really cheap and funny weapon with some damage added. i thought about how it could be done and here are my thoughts: basically i would take a frag grenade and change meshes and textures to a little stone for example (there has to be a suitable in the vanilla esm). then tweak the weight, delete the explosion effect and change the damage to 5 or 10 and its done - isnt it? Unfortunately ive only taken one or two looks in FNVEdit (checking for conflicts, creating a merged patch sth like that) and have never made more with it much less Fo4Edit. Anyone interested in making this little mod? or giving some advice? Mike Grauohr
  11. In response to post #36975840. Yep - as its explained at nexus and the official bethesda homepage. They want us to use the beta without any unofficial changes for the best feedback. Though its pretty easy to enable mods and console again!
  12. God damn it devinpatterson so here youre again with a damn nice innovation! i once bothered you bc of an update of loved bubba :) i watched your demonstration video and it looks really nice! would be great if someone/ you had the time to complete it - would be so immersive... thanks for the tipps blaze :D but though i try to avoid wrong spelling there is sure still enough wrong as if i could put extra faults in my sentences... my biggest problem is my word order i think^^
  13. Thanks :) nice compliment! Yeah maybe theres a way like that but - i dont think anyone will do this for you bc it sure is a lot of work^^ just for a few specific weapons... i would recommend to learn scripting for yourself otherwise youll have to wait for sth which probably will never be uploaded... ive got some ideas of how to do that too but i dont have the time to (learn how to) do it by myself. if youre interested i would try to describe but at the moment im really tired and dont find the right words... good luck though, mike
  14. Really good idea! im absolutely your opinion - the fallout repair system is just gross! cleaning tools, one for guns (oil, brush) one for knifes (grindstone) etc working like repair kits for example! buyable for some caps at nearly every weaponselling merchant. only useable at your camp or work benches! Nice! Possible to do - better gameplay feeling - little complication potential - Thumbs up! Mike
  15. Hey blaze! answer 1: unfortunately the only way i know to display a second (nonequipped) weapon is wearing it as a clothing accessory. i hope you understand my crappy english - you have to take a weapon model/texture which are declared as clothing using an unused slot. but there would be no interaction possibility which means you can see for example a shotgun on your back but if you change your equipped pistol to a "real" shotgun, the pistol would disappear and the clothing-shotgun would stay and clip with the real shotgun. i tried it some time ago bc disappearing weapons bothered me too but i didnt find a good way to fix that issue. for me i solved the problem with an wearable backpack - imagine you put your weapons in there by holstering. if you find a way to do it - let me know, id be interested! if you like you can pm me the name of the mod which showes your inventory, havent heard of it, sounds interesting! answer 2: im pretty sure there are mods which alter the weapon "slots" like you asked, i dont know their names. but the weapons still will have a similar distance to the body! the problem is called clipping - i know it doesnt look very well with floating guns all around you but its better than weapons sticking in your body. the distance between body and weapon is always the same so it looks absolutely terrible watching nude fallout guys with rifles floating 3" behind them but if they wear power armor for example it fits. maybe i could help - you are not the only one with wishes like that so hopefully in the future some intelligent guys will make those modifications for people like us! Mike
  16. at first check if theres meant voice acting or just text dialogue. then reinstall and check TWICE if you installed EVERYTHING at the right place. look for special installation tipps at the download site. look at the faqs and the comments at the download site. good luck, mike
  17. hopefully you edited the right things!^^ at first i can recommend to you the BOSS tool its some sort of a load order helper. second: do you use NVEdit? its a great tool which you could use for finding and understanding problems in the loadorder and solve them with for example compatibility patches. there are some really helpfull tutorials for everything bc both tools are really complicated at the first look. good luck, mike
  18. Yeah its not really helpfull in the most cases in here, unfortunately. FAQ of Nevada Skies, third line: Q: Why do I see sometimes ugly seams in the sky? A: Because there are just too many sky variants and I haven't figured out yet all those, that have some seams. I will do as soon as possible. make sure you read the faqs before posting questions in the forum - thats one reason the most modders dont take time for helping here. mike Edit: bc of the left handed weapon^^ i got it too, using weapon animation replacer too and dont know how to fix it but it doesnt bother me bc you can easily fix it everytime by looking left-right-left or zooming in etc. i think somewhere in the scripts therere some leftover from a lefthanded modification.
  19. problem in first AND third person? are you using any mod which alters the crosshair? which mods are you using? you could try to disable every mod, are you experiencing the same problem? if not start enabling your mods, in steps, everytime only a few more. thats how you can test which mod causes the problem. mike
  20. crashs everytime at the same place? crashs after only a few minutes of gameplay or not until a certain time of playing? i dont know/use "enhanced grass" maybe that could be a problem too, if you already lowered some grafics settings - try at first without any mod which enhances grafics and so on. have you already tried without any mods? important: are you already using 4gb? (is it working correctly? have you ever seen some black textures (means unloaded bc of insufficient used main memory)) mike
  21. i had problems with enb too. now i use dynavision3 and what can i say - the game looks pretty awsome with it! i dont think i need any better grafics. maybe you already use it but if not: try it its really great and for everybody who cant use enb the best option for sure! mike
  22. nice to hear you fixed your problem. if it would crash after an hour gameplay or more i wouldnt worry. after using more than 30 bigger game modifications its normal for nv to crash sometimes. thats why theres an usefull quicksave button you should frequently use! do you use fnvedit? i would recommend it to you its a very usefull tool for minimizing conflicts in your loadorder! theres a manual on the nexus it helped me a lot. have fun mike
  23. dont know how to fix this problem. sr! i also dont know what exactly will be deleted if you reinstall the game - to make sure you dont loose anything: do a backup copy of your data folder (you dont have to uncheck your mods in the mod manager). if its reinstalled start nmm, and if there are no mods listed, check the installation path, if its correctly just paste your backup in your new fallout folder and check the mods you want in the nmm. ps: attention! all modifications you made in other folders (nvse, stutter remover or d3d9.dll for example, i think are placed directly in the fallout installation folder) are maybe gone too after reinstallation so also backup those! mike
