  1. I had this problem and it was driving me crazy for days. I had loaded a non-SE mod from a manual download in NMM. I removed the offending mod and boom, it works perfectly
  2. No one has any thoughts, answers, theories or cares?
  3. I have been playing on a completely new install with a completely new game. I have my old saves in another folder but I have started completely from scratch and still crash frequently and it always goes back to CR04. Although today I have been getting a new CTD when I either fast travel to Dragonreach or, occasionally, when I enter or leave the building. Is anyone up to deciphering this?   4. Hello, since 1.5 update I've been crashing with all my old saves. I've reinstalled 5 or 6 times started fresh and everything seems fine until I add 3 or 4 mods, always different ones. The only common thing I can find in them is a problem with CR04 scripts. CR04 is a Vanilla Companion's quest Hired Muscle ( http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Hired_Muscle ). I've been searching all over for 1.5 crashes and everyone who posts their logs shows the same crash. I'm using: Win XP AMD Athlon 5600+ dual core 2.8GHz 4 gigs ram ATI Radeon 6850, 1 GHz I've always run on High settings with close to 100 mods without crashing and FPS around 45 to 60. Only since 1.5 did I get crash and apparently for a ton of other people.   6. CR04 is one of the very first Companion quests, Hired Muscle. I just did a clean install with only the DLC texture packs and I'll get a random crash because of this.   7. Nope, none of those worked but thank you. I reinstalled the entire game from scratch and it runs fine ONLY using the DLC texture mods. I added the Fall of the Space Core and that seems fine. Then I added Static Mesh Improvement and I got a crash after waiting for 24 hours. As far as I can tell it's related to the Companions "brute" quest CR04. I'm in Whiterun and talked to Aela about the Companions but I haven't talked to Kodlak or visited the Hall yet. Here's my Log can anyone help with the details please?   8. Please help. Since the 1.5 update I've been completely unable to load Skyrim with any mod. I've uninstalled and reinstalled 4 or 5 times. Each time I deleted all Skyrim files in Program Files and Documents and cleaned the registry. From a clean install I can load a new game and old saves without mods without a problem. Changing the .ini files for the Hi-Res DLC always CTD's so I don't change the archive. I've played with up to 100 mods BEFORE 1.5 with no issue at all and 90% of the mods I use are just texture mods; Better snow, Water and terrain, black Shadowmere, Static Mesh improvement, etc. I was using SKSE and SkyUI, they're gone. I always use BOSS to check load order, I've tried WryeBash and absolutely nothing, that I can find, works... PC stats Win XP 32 bit (Yes I'm upgrading to 7 soon.) AMD 5400+ dual core 2.8Ghz (Soon to be Phenom 945 quad core) 4 gig ram Radeon 6850 1 gig Vram, AA is set to 0 until ATI fixes their drivers I'm now using the beta upgrade that Nexus suggested, didn't work I tried the method suggested by Ciberious42; http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/628590-fixed-15-crashing/page__p__4946281__hl__crash__fromsearch__1#entry4946281 I was able to load about 2 or 3 textures and play for about 1/2 hour than CTD. Even after first unchecking and then uninstalling the mods I still CTD upon loading. Even starting a new game crashes. I've tried every tweak I could find, resetting, loading 1 mod at time and nothing. What I don't get is when I do get 2 texture mods working, nothing with scripts, and then crash why can't I continue after they are completely unloaded? I have to do a completely clean install again. And obviously tons of people are running perfectly fine with 100+ mods on both the 1.5 patch and the beta.
  9. I now crash every time I go outside. I have a save inside a building and everything loads fine but as soon as I either go out into the world or load an outdoor save, CTD.
  10. I tried starting for the first time since steam updated to 1.5. Right after the Bethesda screen vanishes and the load screen starts it crashes. I've tried starting from NMM, the launcher and SKSE launcher. I've had a few crashes before (while playing) and have removed conflicting mods before but this is completely different.   12. I had the same problem using an ATI 6850. Searching around I found it's (usually) because of the ATI drivers, ATI is aware of it and working on a new set. The workaround for me was setting AA to zero and I haven't had a problem since.
  13. Well a found a partial solution for me and anyone using an ATI/Radeon card.... (Frack) The newest drivers crap out AA (anti-aliasing) in Skyrim. I searched a ton of articles about skyrim, ATI, etc and everyone using a Radeon card who updated their drivers over the weekend seems to have the same pixelating problem. For the time-being if you turn off AA on the launcher everything looks fine. I tried with both bare vanilla and all 100+ mods and modified skyrimpref ini and it runs fine on my system. For comparison; WinXP 32 bit, AMD Athlon 5400+ Dual Core 2.8 GHz (Yes I'm upgrading to a quad) 4 gigs ram Radeon 6850
  14. Can you share the .ini setting that caused it and the change you made? I'm getting the exact same problem on a Radeon 6850, WinXP, AMD Dual core 2.8. I've had all my mods on, turned off, started a fresh game, tried from a clean save, graphic card settings, skyrim settings, etc, etc. Launching from the default launcher, SKSE or NMM doesn't make a difference and I deleted my skyrimPref in order to get a fresh copy. I know it's a .ini setting but I cannot figure out which setting it is. The posted screenshots and video are exactly what I'm seeing and this is the first thread I've found with the same problem.
