Doing a bit of quick testing I'm almost certain the bug is caused by the EnhancedLightsandFX mod.

Hello, I have recently reinstalled Skyrim but I am experiencing a bug I have not before. In nearly every interior cell, floors are missing large squares from them:

Sorry but this confused me a little: "Extract the archive you downloaded into a temporary folder somewhere out of the Oblivion directory and remove all the files in your data folder exactly as they are in the extracted file. Plus the esp." I'm a little slow when it comes to computers, so sorry for sounding stupid.

Thanks for the help, it sounds easier to get OBMM. The reason I don't have OBMM it in the first place is I'm not fond of new things, well it's more like laziness really. Anyway sorry for wasting your time I guess I'll just download OBMM. It's not that bad is it? Well I do have Wrye Bash, can I use both?

 

How come you don't just use OBMM? ( just curious as to why you ask ) I'd tell you if I knew, I don't really understand OMod yet, I figured it out but forgot how it goes, so I usually just. Right click the night eye file, press copy, right click your desktop, click paste, right click desk top again click Add new folder. then take the night eye file and drag it into that new folder you just made. Right click the new folder you just made and click rename. After renaming the folder ( whatever you want but we'll call it night eye ) double click the folder. Then you will see your night eye file inside right click the file click 7zip then click extract here. Then open OBMM click the create button then click add folder then scroll down click your night eye folder press ok then click data files then click create Omod after it finishes extracting click the mod and press activate you should be all set.

 

Otherwise right click the Omod paste it on your desk top as explained earler blah blah blah rename folder extract what's inside like mentioned earlier ( you know what I mean do what I explained earlier ) then after you have the renamed folder with everything extracted inside right click and add it to your data folder with 7zip. I think you can with Omod? Let me know sorry about my very detailed explenation. ( hope that helped )

I gots a bit of a problem, when I talk to, or am talked to by someone the dialog is missing until I get to where I can chose a dialog option. After that all the dialog is proper, just not the opening dialog. Can anyone help? Oh also I got a ton of mods so maybe there is no help for me? I think it started after I installed the"Oblivion Stutter Remover" mod, maybe, I'm not sure about that one. If you can help that's cool but if not that's okay too, it's just a little bit of a peeve that's all, nothing major, I can still play it like it is.

 

Since you have a ton of mods it would help to post a load order. If you have OBMM(Oblivion Mod Manager) go to Import/Export on the right of the main window and select View Load Oder. Save the resulting text to something like Wordpad and copy and paste it here.

 

One of the mods known to cause dialogue issues like this is the Cheydinhal Petshop because it edited the timing for speech accidentally. If you have this mod I can post a fix if you have the Construction Set. You don't need any particular knowledge of the CS to do this. It just involves making a quick change and saving the esp.

 

I don't have Oblivion Mod Manager, but I do have Wrye Bash, is there any way to do the same thing? Also yes I do have Cheydinhal Petshop and I do have the Construction Set, that would be awesome thanks.

[Corrupted Saves]

My Main save is corrupt, all this thread talks about is quick and auto saves. I saved my game turned off oblivion then later my sister went to play (so both auto and quick saves are useless) all I got is my one main save. In Wrye Bash I left click on it and select statistics and this is exactly what is says:

I remember when this first started glad to see it's still up, because I need it, ha ha! Ok I know this mod exists because I had it at one point, it lets you become a skeleton you need the Book of Unlife and it's not the mod that turns you into a Lich I already looked but I can't find it. [Oblivion + Crash = Normal?]

Thanks everyone, sorry for posting in the wrong spot. First it's not over heating I could guarantee that because I can play any other game on it for hours on end without fail. Load order I'll change thanks dezdimona for that info. Olurum, yes I am running Deadly Reflex and I did think it may be the problem as the description said 5.0 (I thinks thats the new one) is unstable so I disabled that but as far as I could tell it crashed just as often. Also I just re-installed Oblivion after about a year and all mods I have where put in at the same time but if I have to go through them all so be it. Luckily for me theres Red Bull.

 

Thanks for all the helpful info now I got something to go on and hopefully fix the problem and if not... well thank god for the quicksave.

Hello, Oblivion crashes A LOT for me. I have about ten to twenty mods. None conflict but Oblivion crashes every... twenty minutes or so. Well its very intermittent like it may crash after twenty minutes or it may crash after two hours but one thing you can always count on is it crashing. Any info would be helpful thanks a lot.
