  1. I have had a similar idea recently, start in some place that you or in this case, a dragon, emptied out, it's a shambles, eventually you convince folks to start moving back, the player doesn't need to supply all the reconstruction material, because just done the road is a lumber mill... but the player would end up deciding the direction of the cities structure, both politically and martially, of course helgen is empty but it is owned, so the jarl of falkreath (sp) would be quick to adress your new fledgling powercenter... and reclaim it, depending on where you are in the civil war quest, there might even be a way of using your new seat of influence to raise above this thane crap into an actual jarl yourself. The thing about a project like this is that you have to account for all the consequences of power. Once word starts to spread of helgens resurgence, the implications become exponential, and requires drastic gamewide changes in a lot of npcs to compensate for the power shift. I mean you build up a badass town, jarl of falkreath is like, "thanks for fixing my city now gtfo" You're all "Um.. no" all of a sudden there is a third side to the civil war... And you are gonna bring all these bitches in line and take the title of high king of skyrim for yourself becaus F that sucker from falkreath... trying to take our city. Or you could very well just let him punk you and start paying him a tithe or something... in which case you have to start taxing your peoples and become the man who works for the man who kills dragons in his spare time.
  2. It turns out things like that need to be done via scripts, followers are oblivious to the status us your hp by default so they don't know when you need a heal.
  3. She seems to be more than capable of healing herself, but my goal is primarily to get her to hang back and heal me, I even wrote her a custom combat style ultimately every time i tested out the mod, she let me die. She is meant to be a walking potion since I hate micromanaging my health bar with no easily bindable potion hotkeys
  4. I was thinking it would be really cool to see a mod that allowed the player to get some land and have a small community gradually spring up around it, growing that community as well as the player home. So instead of going to Whiterun and dumping 5k on a house and another 1k+ on upgrades for it, what if you cleared out a section of space being held by bandits or some other nasty inhabitants, spent that money fixing it up and as your reputation grows, or you meet people along your travels, they would migrate over and set up homes and shops and stalls of their own, perhaps someone like Ysolda who dreams of being a merchant might come and set up a shop in your new town, (that is just an example, I know grabbing her would be a hassle as she has a lot of AI revolving around Whiterun.) So the mod goes something like this: -Quest to investigate the nasty evil bad guys in -original exterior and interior maps- -Claiming it as your own and investing some gold into some lumber mill and workers somewhere nearby -upgraded exterior map- -Expanding your home -upgraded interior map- / continuing to adventure meeting new NPCs that the mod adds into the game to function as potential residents of your city -further expanding the exterior map- Ultimately you start with some beaten down wreck and get to watch your city form slowly to the point where you are like a Jarl yourself. I'd be more than Willing to contribute to the creation of said mod but I would need help from someone knowledgeable. As always, thanks for reading.
  5. Didn't read every reply but had a thought... Dovahkiin as a follower or perhaps the inverse... I have often enjoyed stories where the main character was someone who accompanied the hero, and the effects that company had on the character, for instance, the black company was written from the narrative of the medic, and the series is about the group rather than the self. I have had, on more than one occasion, felt that playing a follower or companion would be a great delivery method for a game, however not one of bethesda's sandbox romps, the third person player character really kind of limits itself to a very linear story line. Perhaps you help the Dovahkiin escape, and he becomes your pocket wookie, owing you a life debt, thus the two of you set out on a grand adventure. You get to experience the content, the only real problem would be getting that dovahkiin voiced. Anyway my two cents.
  6. FYI all the folks still dumping things on this thread, the OP hasn't commented here in over a month, so probably safe to assume this things either become a bigger monster than he originally imagined and he decided to get away from the inferno it produced, or it was a troll. Sadly the OP's profile does not list him as ever posting any mods for any nexus site, ever (under that name at least.) Food for thought for all those little fanbois out there madly posting pages and pages of pics dreaming about whatever anime conversion they are hoping to fap to. Personally I wish more modders offered their services in this sort of fashion (follow through added of course), but it seems most modders out there make the stuff they want, and we get to piggy back off their creativity, not the other way around.
  7. So far it seems that you have to convert your esp to an esm using tesvsnip, then use your esm to export your face meshes and textures to a physical directory (alt+f4 as stated above) for your follower since followers all have their own unique texture folder it seems, also, the creation kit has problems reading the textures because female eyeliner becomes a tattoo, and mascara becomes a whole forehead thing. Someone went so far as to include a actor creation tutorial with their mod, helped me eliminate the issue: Here there be fixes
  8. I think that perhaps you should start by using the high res textures, editing low res textures is kind of a waste due to extreme lack of detail.
  9. Trying to figure out how to dictate my followers combat behaviors so that they cast spells with the left hand to cast heals and buffs, while keeping a sword in the right in case any baddies should close in on them. Would really appreciate any advice on the matter.
  10. I am looking for a simple mod that creates a new, scalable, unique bow and arrow into the game, since bethesda really dropped the ball on the archery component of skyrim. I like the model of the ebony bow, and arros, and would like to see a recolor that would go well with Jojo's Silverlight armor. Would really appreciate some help with this request, and look forward to hearing from you.
  11. The basic premise is to establish a modding team that collaborates and utilizing each other to tackle modding projects, Whether they are internally inspired, or forum requests, at first I was hoping to start with things like custom armor, and weapons then perhaps move on to more extensive things like adventures. I know it's kinda a strange request, but I have ideas and visuals in my head that would look great, I just don't have the skill to produce them, also I have pretty decent management and planning skills, so I can bring something to the team myself, not just sit back and take credit. Hope to hear from any interested modders soon!
