  1. Well, im not terribly versed in these matters, but im betting this is where it will be a good time to have NMM. My guess right now is that you will have to reinstall all the mods, but then again, you might want to wait a bit for someone who knows more about this kind of thing. Hope I helped.
  2. Well, this sounds like a very curious problem. I'm leaning towards the idea that you cannot use the CK to fix this, but I am not the most advanced user with it. It might help if you told me how you got it, if possible, and where you got it. My only advice right now, as I am reading that you have tried every possibility, is that you can try showracemenu, but im sure you have already tried that. Another idea that comes to mind if you can look for that(...what to call it...special effect, perhaps?) in the CK.
  3. I recommend trying this - http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4192 - it solved all my crashing problems, and missing texture issues. I hope this helps you with your game crashes bud. Good luck! Scott
  4. You posted this in the technical issues section of the forums. Technical issues are things like crashes, missing textures, etc. You are asking for someone to make the Altair armor, so you might want to put this question under the Skyrim modding discussion forum topic, not in the Skyrim technical issues topic.
  5. A possible reason why it is crashing is because of your texture mods. I had quite a few texture mods, and once I removed the textures folder, I only crashed occasionally. I suggest this to help with your problem. Worked WONDERS for me, and my game no longer crashes, has missing textures, etc. Read the description, and it will tell you what to do. http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4192 Hope this helped with your problem. :D.
  6. I think you might be in the section mate. Then again, maybe im wrong.
  7. Yea, no kidding. Im glad its playable now. I can actually do normal things in the game, like wait outside! :D
  8. Here is a possible solution I just tried out today. Normally, I couldn't use any texture mods, or the game would crash. That, or I would have missing textures. But this -http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4192- caused Skyrim to run like a charm, and I can now use all the mods I want, and Skyrim is gorgeous. Hope this works for you to mate :).
  9. Hello, im here to report a wonerful success! I was to the point you were at, which is quick saving after you do anything, including walking 5 steps. But, after I found this, and followed the directions, I have had absolutely no crashes, and no missing textures. While my sound seems to have dulled a bit since I have done it, im sure thats just my imagination. Good job mate, im glad you shared this with the community. :)
  10. Greetings, There could be many reasons why your Skyrim is not working. One possible reason is if you use texture mods in your game, as texture mods can make the game crash, and I speak from experience. So a possible solution is to remove your replacement textures (the textures mods installed) and put that folder somewhere safe, and then see if the game will run smooth. Another good way to see if there is a solution is to check the other threads similar to this. I have run across 3 or 4. Sorry I could not be of more help mate, cheers. ~Scott
  11. Hello, Well, like Maboru said, there are many possibilites, but a possibility I have discovered is texture mods. What I mean by that is that Skyrim (at least for me) does NOT LIKE texture mods, which is a good portion of mods on the nexus. So, if your using mods, and a lot of them have replacement textures, I would suggest moving the textures folder somewhere safe, and then try running Skyrim. I hope I helped mate, cheers. ~Scott
  12. Just to throw this out there for people who are having crashes similar to this guy, but you know it is not your hardware, and you have mods. I have discovered that, apparently, Skyrim does not appreciate texture mods. If you have a good amount of texture mods, especially if they are big texture mods like I have (Whiterun, Skyrims landscape, etc,) the game will crash. Often. The way to check to see if this is the problem (if you did not already know) is to go into your Skyrim directory, go to data, and put the textures folder somewhere safe, such as a temporary holding folder, etc. I know it's a bit of a bummer, but I hoped this helped some people.
  13. I have to agree with Maboru on this one mate. By posting what your using and all that good stuff, the problem could be recognized.
  14. Well mate, im not to sure what's going on in that area, but if all you want is spellbreaker, and dont mind cheating to get it...well...coc qasmoke. But, if your actually looking for a way to fix the quest so you can play without using cheats, im not sure what you could do. Sorry I cant be of much help in that area :(.
  15. Hello mate, As for your question about the horse CTD's. it's very odd. I have never heard anyone mention anything about the CTD's only happening on horses. But, perhaps you could give the Skyrim 4GB patch a try? Other than that, you might have to look online. If you have already done that, hopefully someone will answer who has experience and fixed this problem. Best of luck. Sorry I couldntt be of more help :(.
  16. The way to make to make it run as an administrator is to right click on TESV.exe (or the 4gb launcher, whichever), go to properties, go to the compatibility tab, and tick the box that says "run it as an administrator". As for the missing .dll steam file when trying to use the 4gb launcher...well...your guess is as good as mine. Perhaps you could search for a solution to this problem online.
  17. Hello mate, and I have a (possible) solution to your problem. I have noticed that quite a few people have said to use the Skyrim 4gb patch to help stop the crashes, due to Skyrim only using 2gb's of memory (not one of Bethesda's best moments.) Well, ive tried it out, and it did absolutely nothing to help me. So I kept looking for a solution until I came across a person who mentioned, if your using windows 7, you need to run it as an administrator. I did that, and im having almost no problems with the game. I highly recommend it. If you havent tried this yet, I recommend getting the 4gb patch. Hope this helped mate. Best of luck.
  18. Well, I havent seen anyone else who has had this problem, but for some reason (was in the vanilla game before I started modding) whenever I am, say, outside a place like the Crimson Caravan, either gate to freeside, and if I remember, Camp Mccarran, the screen will go black, there will be a sound of like a fat man nuke exploding in water, then it will be normal for a second, then the black screen and water sound, normal, rinse, repeat. Any ideas?
