as an update, i have followed every piece of advice on this thread: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/5794272-enb-wrapper-version-crash/ as well as deleted the d3d9.dll file entirely. none of it works. i have deleted everything from the enb download from the oblivion folder and it still isn't working. --- i have un- and re-installed oblivion, only to have the same problems even with a fresh install and all mods removed.

it took a minute but i found it. i looked into my things and it seems like d3d9 has something to do with the enb mod i have. i thought it was just a graphical thing. it gives me a bunch of stuff but i don't really know how to use it. most of the conflicts it detects are the things that the new stuff replaces. i've left the dlc and unofficial patches closed for expedience's sake.
-
when i try to open it through the oblivion mod manager it just crashes right away. if i open the game via the obse directly it does the same as the NMM. i added the fastexit and have the same problem. it crashes when i try to serve time.

the other file with the list of mods both on and off.

so i started a new playthrough after a while and was having a lot of fun. Once i got the mods in to fix it and ran it again though, it started having crashes. Notably it will crash any time i try to quit to desktop, but that isn't such a worry. Until i started a quest in bruma that required i get thrown in jail. whenever i try to rest and serve the time, it crashes. google hasn't helped me much. i've tried removing certain mods that supposedly may cause it to crash, like the keychain, and no luck. Nighteye shader replacement Keychain Color Map ^these ones are installed through OBMM, which will crash if it tries to load oblivion. The game works if i start it from NMM. these are the rest of my loadout, the esm and the list of mods themselves. please excuse the doublepost. i can't add both pictures to the single one

So i feel a lot of affection for this guy and a lot of sympathy. As a general rule of thumb being a vampire doesn't automatically make you a dick. So i wondered if there was a way to make a mod to save him. Like instead of killing him in the arena, have an epic speech check at him and convince him that being a vampire doesn't make him a monster, and that he's a good guy worth saving. Maybe at the end he retires from the arena to get his mind and life in order, and try to accept his new knowledge. a few things i have in mind to point out during the speech are -the vampire who fathered him was a noble, so technically he is still nobility -he hasn't gone around slaughtering innocent citizens in the night and devouring their flesh and blood -he hasn't done anything wrong, and just because he was born the way he is isn't reason to kill him.

Don't judge me, but i'm looking for an R rated mod/mods for New Vegas and i know they don't have them here. I'm having trouble finding any site that DOES have them though. Even googling "Explicit" New Vegas mods just gets me regular sites with the word in their little blurb at the bottom of the site. Not going to go into detail because this is a non-explicit forum.

That is what i meant to change. I don't want to change the chance for a soldier to be psionic, i want to make it so that the 6th soldier is NOT automatically psionic.
-
it seems kinda cheap to me. so i wanna get rid of it and play the game without it. i found this info about the psionic chance i found a setting in one of the ini files called "PSI_TEST_LIMIT=5" that no one seems to know what does, it SEEMS like it'd be the failsafe. if i set that to 255, would that stop me from getting auto-psioniced?

Hats keep unequipping, no mod for it
Emilin replied to Emilin's topic in Dragon Age: Origins's Mod Troubleshooting
Manually unequip all helmets from the player character and all companions (so there's no risk of anything getting "stuck"; having them in inventory is fine). Then save, close the game, and exit out completely. Browse to wherever your override folder is (usually \Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\override) and then to the folder for the fixpack mod. Delete the 'Tweak - No Helmet' folder within. Tweak gone. Thank you so much. i didn't realize i needed the readme, there was so much information on the page. my fault for being derp :psyduck: -

I must have missed that part of it. it fixes so many bugs i just wish there was a way to turn off the helmet removing thing.
