  1. easy ... load up the kit make a new mod and give them whatever you want.

You could also just give them the items and take away anything else they have.

Followers have set items they wear even if you take away everything they will always be able to put on

their default stuff. Unless you change that in the kit. But let's say they have a dagger as default

if you give them a better weapon (higher damage) they will use that. Same with gear.

Okay.. But what I want to do is give a follower a bound sword spell and let's say... Frostbite.. But have the follower use them simultaneously. If that makes sense.

  2. This thread might help you out: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1006886-creation-kit-giving-bound-sword-to-new-followers/

Beyond using scripts and spells, you might be able to make a sword that looks just like the bound sword for him/her to use. If you save it as part of their outfit, I think it means the player can't take it and won't see it if they open up the follower's inventory? But don't quote me on that; that might only apply to armor. Either way, they will equip whatever has the best stats, so if you want to make sure they use only that sword no matter what the player hands them, make it a good one.

So you're saying I cant? Unless I go through scripts?

  3. Would anyone happen to know how to make follower have a bound sword and another spell like Frostbite?

Like having bound sword in the right hand and frostbite in the left?

Or do you have to have one or the other?

  4. Is that one I need? For making my standalone follower using my presets?

Also is there a video that pretty much shows this?

  5. I have a question:

How would I make a follower that is based on a couple presets I made?

    Really like to know. ^_^

    Please.

And I want to know how to do it with RaceMenu.

  6. Start here to create an actor.

Go here to learn how to create a companion.

To use the face of a character you've made ingame, look at this tutorial.

This Standalone NPC tutorial also covers using a player character's face, I believe.

    This one covers using ChargenExtension.

Here's another alternative general follower tutorial.

    And another.

I'm not a fan of video tutorials myself, but definitely wouldn't suggest using them when you're just learning the basics. The above text tutorials should work much better for you. In addition to those, if you're completely new to the Creation Kit, the Creation Kit Wiki and Tutorials will be very helpful.

Thanks, I'll check these out. ^_^

Would these help me with how to get my female to be a follower through Racemenu?

  7. I want to make a standalone follower.. Would anyone like too try and help me with this? Like post up a list of I need to do. If you need the mods I have, just ask.. But is there an easier way to do it with the preset you want in racemenu? If not, can someone make a list of what I need to do? I am confused on the videos on youtube. Also, if it matters, I use a Mod Organizer.

  8. I admit, these programs I do not have much experience in, but here is what I can gather from reading the errors.

    MO:

Right click on the "overwrite" mod and click on something along the lines of "create new regular mod". It might not be those exact words, but something along those lines.

    LOOT:

This is a weird aspect to Skyrim I don't think many people know about. Go to AppData/Local/Skyrim and open up the .txt files. Back them up, then read them over and delete any duplicates and save. That is what I think is causing that error.

From there you should be able to combine the files you want using TES5Edit

Hey I got it. But um.. Would you know of any mod that is FFXIII 2-3 armor?

  9. Hm, very strange. You say you were trying to combine some files? Which ones? Send them to me and let me take a crack at it. There might be something not quite jiving between the two files, and I might be able to figure it out.

    Not yet. Here's the things:

    MO

There are files in your overwrite mod - - - - - - No guilded fix

Files in the Overwrite mod are are usually files created by an external tool (i.e. Wrye Bash, Automatic Variants, ...).

It is advisable you empty the Overwrite directory by moving those files to an existing mod. You can do this by double-clicking the Overwrite mod and use drag&drop to move the files to a mod.

Alternatively, right-click on Overwrite and create a new regular mod from the files there.

Why is this necessary? Generated files may depend on the other mods active in a profile and may thus be incompatible with a different profile (i.e. bashed patches from Wrye Bash). On the other hand the file may be necessary in all profiles (i.e. dlc esms after cleaning with TESVEdit)

This can NOT be automated you HAVE to read up on the tools you use and make an educated decision.

    Loot

    • An error occurred while parsing the masterlist: More than one entry exists for "BetterBreezehome.esp". This probably happened because an update to LOOT changed its metadata syntax support. Try updating your masterlist to resolve the error.

  10. Of course man. We are all here because we love Skyrim. Anyway, I usually search plain ol' Google for help with these sorts of things. In your case, I would search "TES5Edit clean files", or "TES5Edit how to clean files", which will most likely get you some results based around TES5Edit tutorials. If you want strictly video results, try the same at Youtube.

    Well I cleaned them..

Now I have the Triangle with the ! on it.. saying something is not fixable.. Then Loot saying an error.. I screwed up...

  11. I should point out at this point that I did actually answer your question, and I hope I answered it correctly. If what I suggested does not work, please do come back and post the problem you are having, someone will probably help you. However, I should also point out that you are being rude about the help you received. I did say I was sorry about the way I worded what I said. I should have been nicer about the way I said it. However, If you say something in a way that is objectively incorrect, everyone sees it, even if no one says anything. You did call me sad and a troll, and while sad might be up for debate because I cared about such a thing in the first place, a troll would not have given an honest, factual answer to the question you asked. What I am trying to say is this; try and be humble about the help you receive. Yes, I might have been out of line with correcting your grammar, but I did also try and help you.

Yeah, I am sorry too.. Hope I'll be forgiven by ya.

I miss read you man, I am sorry again.

Would you where to search for (Video) on how to clean files?

  12. Jeez man, no need to be on the offensive about this. I tried to answer your question, and I tried to politely give you some grammatical advice to make posting a little easier and look more professional in the future. I sometimes forget that tone doesn't translate on the internet, so I apologize that I did not communicate that better.

I didn't think I had to sound professional.

    I ask a question.

Expect an answer, not a lesson.

  13. TESVEdit has a script that combines multiple ESP files into one.

Also, I don't usually do this, but neater, not "more neater" Sorry, that just bugged the hell out of me for some reason.

-_- Usually means you do.. Just like a annoying little pest wanting attention... Sad that you have to be a troll with it.

Please keep to yourself, next time.

Nothing bugs me more than people thinking they're better than others.. That really what bugs me about this world..

    People like you.. Trolling..

  14. Is it possible to merge mods like Apachii into one?

    To make it more neater?

And what I mean is have the main, then the optional files.

    If that makes sense.
