I'm in a bit of a hurry so I may not be able to help with the ENB question right this second, but there's a shadow striping fix mod here: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/27418/?

Site design update, file backgrounds and hot file cropping
LadyAubrie replied to Dark0ne's topic in Site Updates
Very nice! :) -
My old corp leader told me - as my partner and I were learning the game - "You need a drake! It's the best ship, hands down. You need a Drake." I wonder if he'd say the same now, since the nerf. I still don't know enough about ships to know whether it's still a solid ship or not... But I like Gallente for drones, though. ^.^

Game does not recognize input
LadyAubrie replied to rms141's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Mod Troubleshooting
I'm having the same problem. I don't think it's mod related...this just started this morning, and I've turned a few mods on and off to see what happens. Nothing. And I'm not using a gamepad or any other usb device... -
Oblivion Nexus downloads lead to 404 errors.
LadyAubrie replied to Shirakiin's topic in Site Support
I just wanted to second the OP - I'm getting the error too, definitely. I've tried three different files on Oblivion Nexus and all of them - for me - lead to plain white screens, and no file. As far as I know, the other Nexus sites are working fine...I just got something from FNV Nexus....so it must just be Oblivion. :( -
Nevermind...I think I got it figured out. Thank you so much. :)

And that's the weird thing. I've modded her so that she shows up naked (her rags aren't considered "naked"), and I've put tons of different tops on her. I always assumed that the clothes or armor you put on sort of changes the body in its own way, and that's certainly the way it is with my own character, but with Lyla, it's almost like *she's* altering the *clothes*...dresses I put on her always have the boobs sticking way out...as does any armor I put on her. It's the weirdest thing and I'm absolutely stumped. And I know the armor/clothes aren't "big boob clothes" because my character has the UNP Skinny Body and everything looks really modest on her. Thank you for trying this experiment and being willing to respond...I just wish I knew why it worked when you overwrite her files and it didn't work on my end...*pulls hair*

Would you mind sharing what you did? :) Did you just copy/paste another mesh and texture set into one of the companions' folders? Or did you do something in the CK? My problem is that the body stays the same (as when I downloaded her) whether naked or in any clothes I put on her. I can't seem to get the mod to recognize that I changed her body at all...it's like I never made any changes at all. It's puzzling, because I'd think if she came with a directory the mod relied on for all the info about the body mesh, etc...it would make sense that if I changed what was in the directory, I'd change the body mesh. But it won't register any changes at all for some reason...

Converting Oblivion .nif to Skyrim .nif
LadyAubrie replied to Xescream's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
That helmet looks amazing! Excellent work! I'm so glad I could help in some small way. I'll keep an eye out for any mods you release! :) -
Wow, nobody has any idea at all? That's discouraging. Maybe it's not quite as simple as I'd hoped...

Converting Oblivion .nif to Skyrim .nif

Yay! I hope it was helpful. :) That script sounds like an absolute miracle. Do let me know if you're successful! :) -
So how do I change a companion's body mesh? I downloaded Girls of Skyrim, which is completely amazing. My only problem is with the boobs. They're...massive...which I know some people are into, but I'd like something a little more tasteful and realistic. My solution was pasting the mesh and texture files from the UNP Skinny Body into Lyla's folder... ...and nothing happened. Does it have anything to do with the fact that the original packaged body was CBBE? Or is it something to do with the .esp itself, something I'd change in CK? Does anyone have any ideas on how this might be done? It's probably a quick, easy fix...right?

Converting Oblivion .nif to Skyrim .nif

I'd love to see more tutorials on this subject, too. But for the moment, I've scraped together a couple that may point you in the right direction... http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/3746 http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/481641-how-to-import-oblivion-mesh-to-skyrim-tutorial/page__st__70 I wish I could give you a clearer answer, but I'm still learning the process myself....^.^;; -
So Bethesda has announced Dishonored, its gritty new Steampunk stealth/assassination thriller. It's hard not to be impressed by the trailer...the graphics, the abilities, all the different ways to achieve your goals... But does it have what you want? For me personally, the game looks amazing, but I'd really rather not buy a game that I can't make my own like Skyrim or Oblivion or FNV. So far, based on what we're told about Dishonored, you're forced into the role of a premade protagonist, and you have no options for changing him in any way (or playing as a her...). There's a lot of requests on Bethesda's official forums for a modding kit as in previous titles, but will they listen? Will they allow you the freedom to play the character you want or will it just be another un-customizable Steampunk title in a growing list without any player freedom at all? I truly hope they'll add these features. I'd hate to see the potential in a game like this squandered...

Tamb0...you saved me. Seriously. I spent ALL NIGHT fighting with those stupid shield racks. I was about to give up. And the rest of you...kudos all around to those who helped. You're all amazing. Thank you, thank you!

You've probably seen this one, but this is the best one out so far that I've found. I just got it last night because I was getting married and I wanted to wear something pretty this time around. :) It's not uber revealing...it's very classy, nicely textured, and *may* work for something angelic. Included in this mod are short(er) versions, too, though still not overly skimpy. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=5577

Creation Kit NPC Facial Textures Help
LadyAubrie replied to LieutenantHawk's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Bump this ^ . I've changed some of my NPC's to have custom hairstyles, lightened skin tones...but for the life of me I can't think of any way to make Muiri's makeup to go away without turning her face odd colors. It should be simple.......right? Edit: Nevermind! Skyrim NPC Editor from Foretrenty actually came through for me. If you're frustrated, I'd recommend giving it a shot. :) -
I wish I did. Did you do any exporting (ctrl+f4)? I was reading some earlier posts (sorry to stalk) and discovered you'd had problems with exporting in the past. If you exported any new face textures, it might somehow be overwriting all the default face textures in the game. Personally, I'm having problems with getting Muiri's face paint to go away at all, without turning her face brown. I'd love to know what you did! :) Edit: Nevermind! Skyrim NPC Editor from Foretrenty actually came through for me. If you're frustrated, I'd recommend giving it a shot. :)

Truer words never spoken, my friends.

Varta: That may be...Skyrim as a whole seems to be Bethesda listening really carefully to modders, on all levels... Sky999: It's easy, actually. :) They might have added some new stuff here...I'm not sure...but most of it is the same stuff as in Oblivion's CS and in Fallout's GECK. If you check out the Elder Scrolls Wiki for the Oblivion Construction Set, the same lessons apply here...it works exactly the same in terms of getting around. It took me about a day to learn and then I was modding all the time...it's a lot easier than it looks!

Who's dug into the CK? Who's already modding Proudspire? I wanted to see what everyone thought on the kit itself...the interface, how user-friendly they thought it was... I'm shocked. It's already struck me as uber easy to use...nice and smooth. I've been modding Oblivion with its CS for a long time now (I was just messing with Castle Knightstone today) and I'm shocked at how much smoother Skyrim's is than Oblivion's. I'm enjoying my experience so far...how's everyone else doing?
-
There's a mod called "Housecarls Can Wear Anything" - it gives them generic nice clothes by default, and you can undress them/dress them in whatever you like, at your discretion. :)
-
You could make "Islam: The Expansion". XD

I'm not so sure Bethesda will care too much about the modding community, for this reason alone: Skyrim generated more profits in its first week of release than any other game in Bethesda's library (I don't have numbers for this, but Skyrim's profits probably surprised even Bethesda). If they know they can generate those kinds of profits (most of them on consoles) with NO CK AT ALL, then modding can only ever be a minor concern for them. Plus, I mean like Robin said in his video blog...this new partnership with Steam allows them to say 'hey, look at the Apple App Store!". We could very much find a situation just like that...SOME mods will be free...lots of crappy ones and the occasional eccentric gem, but all the rest will cost a ton. Also consider how we had almost total creative liberty with Oblivion and Fallout mods...if Bethesda wants to get mods on the console (and charge for them like songs in Rock Band), they're gonna want to control what kind of mods make it onto the servers. Steam gives them that control, and the promise of a tidy little profit for each transaction. I can only hope that an underground community emerges for modders who don't like being censored, and the culture goes on.

Disabling steam from accessing the internet.
LadyAubrie replied to TheJoe1990's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Most antivirus/firewall programs allow you to block a specific one. Steam itself has an offline option, but no matter how much everyone says it works all the time, it doesn't...all the time, anyway. When I got FNV and my internet went out I was screwed, because it wouldn't go to offline mode. I read some girl's post over at the official forums where she talked about living on a yacht and not being able to authenticate through Steam every time she wanted to play her game...and the responses were pretty much "sorry about your luck. it is what it is." To not be able to use something you paid for...simply unacceptable. But with Skyrim, suddenly I found my offline mode worked, so I don't know. Give it a try...force it to run in offline mode all the time. That's your best bet. I think unless you do that, blocking Steam will only stop you from playing the games you bought. Don't worry...there are lots of Steam haters here, and I don't think your hate is unfounded at all. There's plenty of perfectly good reasons. :) As for me, I hope that very, very bad things happen to Steam...
