How To Install Plugins/mods
Deleted269910User replied to Stampede's topic in Oblivion's Classic Discussion
You only have the .BSA there, but you don't have the .esp file, which is required for the mod be used in the first place. Plain meshes/textures/voice files can't do anything, without a plugin telling them when to be used and without one, they'll just be sitting there, ignored. -
Ever since I was 10(Due to not so happy incidents back then.), listening to music has been a way of life and a method of dealing with the crap I see/is poured on me daily, with the second method of mine being Photoshop and image editing/drawing in general. I contain my outbursts no matter how much of an ass someone can be or how annoying the thing I have to do next is, still continue to act nice towards others, bottle it all up and release it into music or drawing.(I >never< leave my house without my mp3 player.) If I hadn't found music when I did(And later on drawing/image editing.) I would quite likely have killed myself a long time ago. For me music was a way of dealing with the severe problems and losses I had/felt when I was younger. Dealt with the main issues now, but I still suffer from mild depression, even if I'm getting better slowly, music will likely always be one of the main things in my life. Anyway, back to the main topic: Within Temptation - Stand My Ground I can see when you stay low nothing happens Does it feel right ? Late at night things I thought I put behind me haunt my mind I just know there's no escape now once it sets it's eyes on you but I won't run, have to stare it in the eye Stand my ground, I won't give in No more denying, I gotta face it Won't close my eyes and hide the truth inside If I don't make it, someone else will Stand My Ground It's all around getting stronger, coming closer into my world I can feel that it's time for me to face it can I take it? Though this might just be the ending of the life I held so dear but I won't run, there's no turning back from here Stand my ground, I won't give in No more denying, I gotta face it Won't close my eyes and hide the truth inside If I don't make it, someone else will Stand My Ground All I know for sure is I'm trying I will always stand my ground Stand my ground, I won't give in (I won't give in) I won't give up (I won't give up) no more denying, I got to face it won't close my eyes and hide the truth inside if I don't make it, someone else will Stand my ground, I won't give in No more denying, I gotta face it Won't close my eyes and hide the truth inside If I don't make it, someone else will Stand My Ground. name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>&rel=1"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355">

Ok, I'll try clarifying my point; Basically, the "pure" and "raw" materials, which don't have a pre-requisite other than the said material such as wood for lumber camps, would be produced slightly faster, than the speed a sawmill would process the logs through(=Refining the logs into planks.). That would leave you with a small surplus of logs, meaning you would also have some of the raw material for other uses, such as crafters, trade etc. The main effect would be that you wouldn't have the risk of running out of materials, due to having refinement workshops and would also have the added effect of actually enabling you to control what you want to trade with the outside world, meaning you could also trade for some "special goods" that are unavailable on the island, which could then be added to the stores or to shops for sale/use, basically adding a limitless amount of possibilites that could be done with it aswell.
-
I took the mod for a spin and it was interesting, although a bit frustrating at the same time.(Loading doesn't work if you screw it up, you need to restart Oblivion.) The basic concept seems working and the problem with the materials/facilities using them, could be easily countered by giving the "raw" materials slightly faster rates of production and each state of refinement a bit slower than the previous stage, which could then be sped up with upgrades. Basically the ingredient speeds would be; raw - grade 1 - grade 2 - grade 3 so on so forth, until the last stage of refinement, where/whatever it might be. You could with a little refinement, add this into the game as a "mini-game". Looks good, really good, so far and I'm anxiously waiting for further development.

Here's the Data\Music\ -subfolders; Data\Music\Battle\ Data\Music\Public\ (towns, buildings) Data\Music\Dungeon\ (caves, forts, ruins etc.) Data\Music\Explore\ (outside of towns) Data\Music\Special\ (The music files in this folder need to be named "death", "success" and "tes4title".)

Oblivion Mod Detectives
Deleted269910User replied to Povuholo's topic in Oblivion's Classic Discussion
What you should do is lower your difficulty slider and rise it up as you level up and gain more powerful spells/items. at levels 1-5 I played at the easiest settings, after lv5, I changed the difficulty slider to about 20% of max. After that, went till lv15 or so, took the slider up to 50%. lv15-30 went with that and then raised it to 75% and at lv 50- current 117 been at max difficulty, to provide a challenge. Basically you just need to find the intervals for your own playstyle at which you raise the difficulty. -

How about some sword techniques
Deleted269910User replied to alphacloud's topic in Oblivion's Mod Ideas
I'm not much of a scripter, but basically this would have to be done by attaching the animation with a script to an ability("Lesser Power" or "Spell", Immune to silence.) and given a damaging attribute, with some variables taken from the weapon in use, your character's attributes etc.(Drain fatigue effect, to add some kind of requirement, instead of mana use.) I'm quite sure this isn't an easy task, but doable for someone with at least a moderate amount of scripting experience, in Oblivion's "own" format. This is an interesting idea though and would add some variety into basic combat. -

Oblivion Mod Detectives
Deleted269910User replied to Povuholo's topic in Oblivion's Classic Discussion
@MarkJDK I'm pretty certain it's from idkrrr's Corean mod(Clicky). @The Black Ninja There are lots of FPS optimizing mods and depending on how much you need to increase your performance, the lower you're gonna have to go with the settings and graphics. Here are a few mods that should help you with FPS problems; Streamline. I believe the current most stable versions are Streamline v3.0 - Open Beta 4 and Streamline 2.1 ESP. Read the installation instructions provided and at least skim through the comments. LowPoly Grass, name is self explanatory and can GREATLY improve FPS while outdoors. I've noticed that sheer amount of grass can rape your graphics card and cause an FPS drop of over 30 in certain areas. Sometimes using the console code "tg"(toggle grass) can be a large help, if you don't mind the grass missing. Quiet Feet MAX makes walking silent, which can have some "adverse" effects for your heart when you're sneaking and suddenly a skeleton jumps you from behind and shoves a battle axe to your face. Can improve FPS, but I personally don't advice unless you really desperately need an increase. There are more if you bother searching yourself, just listed a few of the common ones. -

Interesting. (On a note; I usually have a reason behind each of my sig/avatar sets, only a few people know of them though. Been thinking about switching away from this set a bit, but the reason behind it is still more than valid for me personally, so it's prolly gonna stick for a good few months, meaning this is also gonna be the sig set that has been in use for the longest time since I've been here at nexus.) -
The funniest and most "interesting" kill I've had when I was aiming my bow at a guard in Cheydinhal. I decided it wasn't worth it and shot the arrow way up in the air, few seconds pass and then a corpse falls out of the sky with my arrow sticking on the torso. Glitch? Quite likely. Fun? Like hell. :D "It's raining men, hallelujah, it's raining men..."

Fixed it for ya. You need to place the [acronym=<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gablEKsjlWg&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gablEKsjlWg&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>][embed][/acronym] text in between the codes so the vid would work, instead of the url for the vid. -

Oblivion Mod Detectives
Deleted269910User replied to Povuholo's topic in Oblivion's Classic Discussion
I've asked around a lot for that sword, for quite a long time, but there has been no response from anyone I know in possession of it. The sword is a "replica" of one of The Twin Glaives of Azzinoth, from warcraft. All I can say is good luck with ever finding the source, because everyone I've talked with, who does have it, goes mute when anyone even mentions it.
