I tried installing the extra Dog slot mod, with DAModder. And this at least gave me some kind of debug code details. I have no idea if this will help narrow down the problem in any way, but they are as follows: See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

I tried installing DAModder. And unfortunately I get the same error at the same line there, too. "Invalid character in the given encoding. Line 30, position 47" I have no idea which file this is referring to, or how I would fix the error. But clearly it's that which is preventing Mods from being installed on my machine. So far, however, it doesn't appear to be effecting the game itself. Does anybody have a clue what is going on here?

Oh, you mean my Bioware/EA account? Oh THAT'S fine. All one word at googlemail. That's all good. I'll have a tinker with it tomorrow, see what I can get working.

Now you mention it I believe the system is still under the default name of "Compaq_user". Is there any work around for that? As I'm pretty sure I'll have infinitely more problems trying to set up a separate User Account on the PC.

So at that point did you check/edit the paths for your install using the "Options" tab (the last one on the right) on the DAMM screen? The DD version may have slightly different paths (but since I don't have that installation, can't say with any certainty...) As of yet, I don't know. Because the Application won't start. It brings up that error prompt, and I'm a bit loath to click to 'Repair' not being sure if it'll do any damage elsewhere.

It does, yes. After playing through on 360 a couple of times I thought I might pick it up on PC, purely to experience some of the modded content. There are quite a few things on 360 which frustrate me, but have been modded on PC. :) Yeah, sorry if that seemed a little confusing.

So I have completed Origins a couple of times on the 360 (Human Noble and Human Mage if anybody gives a wet slap :) ) and now I am wondering what to do next. I have all the DLC packages downloaded via Xbix Live, bar Awakening (Am a few Gamerpoints short this afternoon, I find - But that's easily remedied in the morning...) Obviously, Leliana's Song and The Darkspawn Chronicles are standalone. But I CAN import my character into the others. And presumably once I've completed each DLC I will be able to import the character again into the next? So where should I begin? Is there a best order? Or a Release date order I should follow? Any plot elements I should be aware of confusing by playing them out of order etc...? Any help greatly appreciated. :)

Hi there, I recently purchased the Digital Download copy of Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition through the EA Store. After hunting through my program folders to find DAUPdater I've found using it to put in modded game content a total non-starter. I've had no problem using mods which make use of the Overide folder. Actually no trouble at all. But whenever I try to open a DAzip file using the Updater it dies just before completion and pops out an error log. Not sure why, right now. I am new to this. But after trying three separate DAzips I got the same end result. Can anybody assist, or explain? I'll add the error reports to this thread for assessment. Thanks.
