Despite the *.daimod files appearance in the left list, I could double click the mods to add them to the right list and then all I had to do was click ">Launch" to apply them, avoiding the crash prone aspects of the program. This was tested with a clean reinstall of the game and mod manager to make sure things work as expected. Edit: Oh I finally figured out how to get Frosty Mod Manager working with Dragon Age Inquisition, for some reason it now crashes when clicking various UI's (none critical to getting the mods applied) and specific mods will also make it crash when added (with it then immediately crashing when re-opening the program until you delete the mod from where the manager is loading it from).

Heya, I updated from v1.0.53 (Or whatever it was) to the latest 1.0.6.3 and after doing this the program became unstable (also tested fresh, clean install of it). * When I try to open the Options UI the program will crash * When I select a mod on the left pane and then click the Details tab above the right pane it will crash. * Adding *.dai mods causes the program to crash, subsequent launch of Frosty Mod Manager will show the mods in the Left pane but with a yellow caution triangle. Feel free to merge this in to the relevant mega-thread on this topic. 1) The system should be opt-in, not opt-out and it should include a 30 day grace period where they can cancel opting in. 2) Modders should be allowed to individually opt-in mods they've submitted to the website instead of an all or nothing approach. I do not see any value in preventing modders from being able to individualize what gets permanently added to such a system. 3) When opting in a mod it will include all optional components and older versions of the mod currently available in that mods Downloads section.
  4. is what I was going to say, but it turns out it was filtering the results to specific downloads with no UI element indicating it was doing so (aside from the URL in the web browser address bar) and no UI element to tell it to not filter the results. When I went to look at my Download History I ended up at https://www.nexusmods.com/darkestdungeon/users/myaccount?tab=download+history when I wanted to be at https://www.nexusmods.com/users/myaccount?tab=download+history I was accessing my Download History while navigating Darkest Dungeon mods, not realizing that doing so would filter the results on the subsequent Download History page. Firefox 84.x
  5. Naw, everything is still intact it seems. I didn't trigger that bug in Vortex luckily. It'd be nice if I could fix the typo in this topics title lol.
  6. Yeah I noticed something was wrong when I used it to install 2 mods (the FtG UI mod and Skip the Fade). No clue if Skip the Fade is installed correctly (not up to that part yet), I might just uninstall it via Vortex than manually install the DAZIP for it with DAUpdater to be sure it's correctly installed. For FtG UI it wasn't affecting any of the UI or appearing in the DLC list to toggle until I uninstalled it via Vortex and then installed it manually via DAUpdater. So, I'm gonna uninstall Vortex. I also today learned that Quinn was still updating his Fixpack, I figured he left the scene since the one on the Nexus hadn't been updated for... forever. Was a big surprise to learn it was simply moved to another website for a while (and now its back on the Nexus). So I've also installed his latest work and removed some of the mods I had been using since his work now covers that stuff (i've begun a new playthrough).
  7. Or you can try limiting the game to using 2 logical CPU Cores on separate physical CPU cores? The game only needs 2 cores to operate at full performance and this can potentially resolve some anomalous behaviour in the game like memory leaks. Backup the games daorigins.exe file. Download the following program (link is at the bottom of the instructions) and place it in to the games bin_ship folder: https://robpol86.com/imagecfg.html Assuming the game is not installed in to Program Files you can make a Batch file in the same folder. To do this make a new TXT text file in the folder via right-clicking blank space in the folder & choosing the relevant option, then change the TXT file extension to BAT. Right click this BAT file and choose Edit (this will open Notepad), now follow the next relevant instruction. If you have SMT or Hyperthreading enabled, type the following in to the file and save it: imagecfg.exe -a 0x5 daorigins.exe If you don't have SMT or Hyperthreading enabled than type this in to the file instead and save it: imagecfg.exe -a 0x3 daorigins.exe Now execute the BAT file by double clicking it. After this you can run the game.
  8. It would be nice if there was a mod that increased the size of text throughout the UI and improved the contrast between the text and its background (notably quests UI, Codex UI & Subtitles).   9. Edit: Vortex MOD Manager (Nexus). How do I get the Launcher to recognize and manage mods that I've manually installed in the past (preferably without reinstalling the mods)?
  10. Old topic but it's the top search result on google for this setting so it should be clarified what the option is for: It is for HDR capable monitors and likely pointless if your monitor doesn't support HDR.
  11. The Launcher acts as though the game isn't installed and any attempts to execute the games main EXE file will result in nothing happening. I don't want to have to go and get the disc and reinstall it just to get the game to work. I just want to know what changes the games installer makes to the system so that I can replicate those changes whenever I reinstall Windows without having to actually properly install the game.   12. The problem with cleaning your files is that some mods depend on the original state of the file, and will break in various ways if you clean them.
  13. - Huh, well you'll need to redo the changes you made in the first place (Before undoing them). - Load the game in Windowed Mode - Load your save game - Alt-tab out of the game and undo the changes you've done (Likley just need to lower uGrids to Load) - Enter the command parameter to force the game to update its operations to match the configuration file which is now modified - Save your game again - Undo all the changes and return to a vanilla setup - You should be fine now This is complicated by the fact that this involves a mod that presumably doesn't change the configuration files so this process probably won't work here :/
  14. How do I get rid of the sky glare emitted from New Vegas city? Can someone tell me the relevant folder structure and file name so that I can use a transparent .dds file to remove the glare?
  15. Cool beans, the attached file in my previous post still works. I was a little worried because the original source of the file no longer works.
  16. Currently notifications are taking me to the last post in a topic, if multiple posts are produced to trigger multiple notifications I can test if it's taking me to the last unread message or just to the last post in the thread. (Firefox, Windows 10 x64)

  18. Every. Single. God. Damn. Time I get an email notificatio telling me someone has posted in a topic I've subscribed to, I click the link to go to the last unread post in that topic and it always, without fail, takes me to the VERY FIRST POST in that topic. It's been like this for probably over a year now and it's starting to get on my nerves which is why I'm now bringing up this issue here. The forum does correctly Remember Me so I don't know why it can't track the last read post in a topic.
  19. So, are you still working on this? Which version of the game was the v1.0 mod developed for?

While the Colour Blind mod is very awesome and resolves the issue I'd still like the Health Bar to be red, just without the gradient that makes it progressively harder (darker) and harder (darker) to observe as you take damage. I'm currently using the colour blind mod because there's nothing better, and it is a significant upgrade over the default appearance for the health bar.

That lets certain kinds of data expand to consume up to 2GB of RAM, and considering the nature of 32bit programs, this leaves not much room for other kinds of data that the game needs to store in RAM. The game engine it self might just be really bad at operating under those parameters due to shoddy coding practices by the developers. Afaik.
  22. From what I've read of the changelog, SKSE v1.70 (and newer) should provide the RAM solution without any other mod being required. So you don't need ENB, SSME etc. Be aware that in order for SKSE to work you'll need to configure Windows to not apply Data Execute Prevention limitations to the game (By default Windows only applies the limitation to it self and not other software). You may also need to use a external program to apply the Large Address Aware flag to the games EXE file (Unsure if SKSE does this automatically), Bethesda started doing this themselves with some of their patches but I dunno if they remembered to do so with the latest patch to the game.
  23. What are the defaults? Try raising them both by onnly 128MB? If it is stable but still crashes due to exceeding the memory capacity then increase it by another 128MB. I say this because increasbing the values so drastically could be causing there to be not enough RAM for other game processes to operate normally.
  24. be aware that you very likely no longer need this mod if you use Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE) because that program has recently incorporated these changes in to it self.
