  1. Hi I'd usually search for mods before posting here asking about them, but I really didn't know what to search with this one. Is there a mod that removes the showing of items you get after leaving casinos and also keeps the hotkeys for weapons/items? I hope it is understandable what I mean by this :P Thanks.

Heya, thanks a lot, installed all of your suggested mods plus some more everything works pretty smoothly, just one quick rather unrelated question: In many troubleshooting sections of the mod descriptions something called ArchiveValidationinvalidated (or similar) is mentioned. What is it exactly, afaik I haven't had any problems with it ever and all the mods I installed are showing up.. Thanks again! :)
  3. Hi there, Just got myself the Ultimate Edition from the Steam Sale which was cheaper for me than buying the DLCs for my Standard Xbox 360 version of the game. Now I would really appreciate it, if anyone has some spare time to point me to the best or most important Mods that are available for New Vegas, not a huge list just the best of the basic Mods. I already have Skyrim and I'm guessing the Mod-downloading and installing process should be similar if not the same? That said, I'm mostly looking for something like the Skyrim 2K or the Realistic Lighting Mods or any kind of graphical overhauls for the game, or even maybe - if there are any - gameplay overhauls since I already played it to death the "normal" way on my 360. Thanks for any answers, really appreciate it :)
  4. Hi, first of all I'm an absolute amateur at modding. I just experimented a bit with the CK when it came out. Was trying to make a spell, a light spell to be more specific, and tried out different light sources/colours etc. I edited their forms and I edited many of them in many ways until I found the right one. But what I didn't seem to know is, that it somehow changes other users of that light, too. So it seems I somehow made changes to the "Master File" Skyrim.esm I guess. Any way to revert this? Cause I get some nasty lighting bugs like pulsating fire places, other sources not casting anymore shadows... Thanks for any help.
  5. Hi, so I'm an absolute amateur at modding, I just messed around with the creation kit and made a mod which is a modification of the candlelight spell. So what I did with some fiddling around is, that I went to the Magic Effects sub-folder created a new one, chose a Assoc. Item 1 --> Edit Form etc. to alter the lighting of the spell. What I didn't know thou, is that when I changed the color or the type of light (ShadowOmnidirectional, Omnidirectional, Shadow Hemisphere etc.) that another item which was using this light is being changed too. And I experimented quite some time with many different lights and I think I messed some stuff up :/ Been getting some serious lighting pop-ups when using torches in interiors, fireplace in Breezehome doesn't cast any shadows anymore, light is abit darker then before... Little things, but very annoying. Is there anyway to back those settings up? Thanks for the help. Edit: btw it seems to make direct changes to the Skyrim.esm file which I loaded up together with my mod .esm file... Because even if I deactivate my mod in the Data Files section, these lighting issues are still there. Found another one, pulsating fireplaces... Really annoying
  6. Hi, I did a modified Candlelight spell with the CK called Torchlight. It's called Torchlight cause I intended to have a hovering flame creating the light instead of the hovering light from Candlelight. So, I haven't yet figured out how to put in a custom hovering flame or maybe replace/modify the hovering light from Candlelight? Do I have to edit the LightSpellActorFX.nif file? Cause no other Hit Effect Art seems to hover over the player as this one.. Also, the lightspellactorfx file in the CK is "ARTO" Form Type. Anyone know what that is? Can't seem to find it. Thanks for the help!
  7. Hi, so I just cleared another one of the many Forts in Skyrim and something is really bugging me. Everytime you enter one of the forts there's mostly prisons which are always guarded, too, but I have never seen any prisoners. Why should they guard it, if there's nothing to guard? Mostly there's just some corpses or body parts, blood etc. but never are there any actual imprisoned NPCs. IMO the fact that most of the bandits just linger around and guard a bunch of corpses in their forts and don't really do anything besides attacking the player on sight and then die really takes away from the immersion. I don't know squat about modding so I can't do it myself... Fortunately there's a forum for this :) Maybe it's possible to put a couple of NPCs from time to time in those fort prisons? Maybe also adding the possibility that they can be rescued by the player? Maybe the bandits could even interact with the prisoners, talk with them, taunt them, torture them etc. Ok, maybe no torturing but you get the idea. :D So... I don't really know how much work this would be, but I think it would really add to the immersion if a prison actually had prisoners? :P I would be really grateful if this could somehow be made. :)
