Thanks to these tips, I was able to upload some awesome shots for your viewing pleasure. Thanks a bunch!!

Awesome!! Thanks for the tips. Soon as I get home I'll try that.

How do the screenshot uploaders upload high quality screenshots? I tried for the first time to upload some but it says there is a 1.5 mb limit. When I resize my screenshots down to that size, they look terrible. I see many high quality, high rez screenshots on the Nexus. What's the trick? I have some great shots I wanted to share, but after resizing them, I changed my mind.

Just want to browse through all the adult screenshots, but I can't figure out how. At the top, in the "image" dropdown box, there is a link to see the top images, and within that, there is a link to see the top 12 adult images, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to see them all. Only the top 12. So there has to be somewhere to see them all, right? Otherwise, how would anyone vote for one for it to make it to the top 12 in the first place?

How can I browse through all the screenshots that are considered "adult"? I've been trying to figure it out but all I can get are the "Top 12". Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Awesome!! Thanks so much.

How do you take screenshots of your character from a front view while they are holding a weapon? I can get the camera to rotate around them with a weapon drawn. Also, when moving the cam to the front view of my character, they are always on the far left side of the screen. How can I center the screen for a snapshot?

I wouldn't worry about it. If Steam tries to charge for "Unofficial", player made mods, it will be an epic fail in the end and the whole issue will blow away like smoke in the wind. In the statement that announced the Steamworks integration, they also mentioned that this would not effect the ability to use mods from other sources. I just can't see how charging for palyer made mods could possibly be regulated. It is simply going to be a tool. MOST of what will be available there will probably be poorly made mods that some kid spent 20 minutes on before his A.D.D kicked in preventing him from completing what he can't remember starting in the first place. Just shrug it off and come back here.

Thanks for the responses, but i have already done the verify thing with steam, and i also tried changing the Drawshadows to 0' but again the game ignores any changes i make. I cant figure out why. Also, i know the shadow issues are common, but i didnt have the issue at first.

By x86 Im talking about when you open up My Computer and double click the hard drive, then go to program files (x86). I've already tried overwriting the ini in there with the one from the Documents. It didn't seem to do anything differently, so I put the original back. As stated before, all changes I make from the launcher screen are ignored by the game when it loads. Guess this whole longwinded thread was for naught. I got all excited thinking I may have found the issue. Everythign else is still great. It's only the interior shadows that are giving me grief. Anyway to just disable shadows altogether?

I've been trying to get answeres about this on the official forums but no one seems to want to answer, so I thought maybe some of the mod pros here could shed some light. I'll try to be brief in the explaining. Previous to the .exe patch that happened several days back, I was playing the game just fine with no mods, or tweaks. I hadn't even heard of the LAA thing until after the patch. I was playing on a High/Ultra mix of settings with 8xAA and 16xAF at 1920x1200. I expereinced some slowdowns in Whiterun and Markarth (down to around 27 FPS at the worst) which rectified themselves if I stood still for a few seconds when first entering these areas. Shadows looked AWESOME (had them on ULTRA). It was steady at 60 FPS in most all other areas other than the above mentioned, so I went with it and was loving it. Then came the sneak attack "patch" that did something with the EXE's that got everyone in an uproar. Frankly, I didn't care, as I had always played using the steam launcher anyway with no probs up to this point. As soon as I loaded the game afterwards though, my shadows were shot. They reverted to low settings and no matter what I change in the option on the splash screen the game refuses to make the changes. I can't even change my resolution now. Let me rephrase that. I can change all my settings to whatever I wish, but when the game starts, it ignores the changes. I"ve been trying to get answers and trying to troubleshoot this for days now. I can't get any answers at the official forums, as all I get are folks telling me there must be some mistake that there is no way the "patch" is what caused this. This may or may not be the case, all I know is that from the moment the patch happened, my game has never been the same. Ok, enough back story, now let's move on to what I just discovered today. This may or may not hold any significance, as I know next to nothing about modding or programming, but something doesn't seem right here and I'd like to ask those of you that know what your doing. I was browsing my Skyrim files on my hardrive today trying to figure out where I'm supposed to put an .esp file that I downloaded from here at the Nexus. Out of the blue I saw the SkyrimPrefs.ini in there and decided to take a peek at it. I immediately noticed some severe discrepencies with the SkyrimPrefs.ini that is located under MyDocuments/Games/Skyrim/SkyrimPrefs.ini. This was the first time I have looked at this file inside the x86 folders in my program files. I have often looked at it in the MyDocuments version after making option changes from the Skyrim splash screen so I was familiar with some of the numbers from there. First thing I noticed was the vast difference in the "fShadowDistance". I scrolled further down and began noticing other big differences. One of the other biggies was the screen resolution. This version of the .ini in the x86 folder has my resolution list as 900x1600. I have no idea where the game whould have gotten that dimension from. These descrepencies have led me to realize that when I change my settings in the options menu of the splash screen, the .ini in MyDocuments is updated. This one that is in the x86 folder is not. Now at this point, I have no clue if this is happening correctly or not. It seems like the game is updating one .ini, but using the other when it loads the game. Why do I even have two of these in seperate locations? Here is a copy and paste of a small portion of each of these .ini's. Any advice as to what I should do would be greatly appreciated from someone that knows what the hell they are talking about because at this point, I'm completely lost. I am new to modding and am trying to make a new home. I have downloaded and installed the Construction set, and went through a couple of different tutorials. These tutorials walked me through using house templates that are prepacked in the game. Fairly straightforward stuff and I was able to make these simple houses with relative ease. That is not what I want though. I want to design and build my own, but I can't find all the right parts and pieces in the construction set. When I try to find pieces, say walls for example, I can only find one or two different models, and they aren't even from the same culture of architecture. I used the standard oblivion esm to get my parts from, but I feel like I am missing something. This is where I need some help. I see all these great custom homes available for download, and I cant figure out how folks are doing it. I've tried looking through several of available links for help, but I can't find one that has what I'm looking for particularly, and a lot of the links don't seem to work. Can someone point me to a tutorial that goes a bit deeper than simply using a home model already in the game? PS: If there are other tools I need to make this happen, point those out to me as well ;) Thanks in advance.

I want........,no, I NEED a mod that allows you to adjust sliders one at a time in character generation. SOOOO infuriating when the other sliders move and undo something I worked hard to get just right. I've been searching for such a mod for hours, but no luck. Does this exist?
-
Is there a mod that will stop other sliders from moving on their own while adjusting any particular slider when making a character? That is the single most frustrating thing any developer ever put in a game. It takes me hours to get a new character to look the way I want it to because stuff keeps moving when I adjust a slider. The other's shouldn't slide on their own. If I worked at Bethesda, I'd fire the guy who thought that was a good idea.

I checked on steam, and I can only buy the full game with shivering isles included there. I just want the expansion pak.

Hello all. I bought Oblivion and the Shivering Isles way back when it first came out, played the heck out of it for a couple of months, then didn't play it for a few years. Now, after stumbling across this site, I've brought Oblivion back to life. I re-installed and dove right in learning how to install and run the many wonderful mods I've found here on this site. It's like playing a whole new game now. One problem I am having though is figuring out where to get The Shivering Isles now. I can't remember where I got it from origianlly, (I thought it was Direct2drive.com, but it's not on my record there, only Knights of the Nine), and I can't find anywhere that has it for sale. So, can someone please point me in the direction of where I might get the Isles again? If I have to buy it again, then so be it. There are many mods here I want to play that require it and I'm missing out on most of the best stuff this site has to offer because I can't find the Isles!!
