Simple, unplug it again, boot the PC up, then shut it down. Plug the HDD back in, then start yet again.
I've already been doing this if you didn't read my posts. I have to have it unplugged to get my computer to boot otherwise it keeps stalling at a boot menu and doesn't go anywhere. I can't even bring up diagnostics, boot menu or any other menu by hiiting either esc, F11 or F10.
I had a HDD I thought was broken one time, and I did a full format, every piece of data on it was deleted and then my PC recognized it.
How am I supposed to get my computer to format it if it doesn't recognize it to begin with? When I first installed it I had to go into the computer manager to format it and set it's path so it can be recognized. It doesn't even show up the computer manager anymore.

It's a SATA plug. I got it in after some from one of brother's friends who installed harddrives before. Only problem is, being the total noob at this that I am, I accidentally selected on the new harddrive the option "mark as active partition" thinking that is what allows me to actually access it only to realize that just sets it to be the one to try to boot off of. Realizing my mistake I checked my computer and it no longer recognizes my new harddrive and anytime I start up my computer with it plugged in it keeps trying to boot off of it. So now I don't know what to do and neither does he. Even if plugged in after booting up my, computer doesn't detect it. Is my harddrive ****ed now? -.-
It is hard to say without being able to see the problem.
Have you tried hitting the "boot menu" key when first turning on your PC?(it should be F12 or F10 but is unique to the motherboard) From the boot menu you will be given the choice of which HDD to launch from-if your primary hdd is not affected by the changes you made you will fin it in the boot menu list.
The list should look something like this but with whatever options you have connected.
http://www.pendrivelinux.com/wp-content/uploads/boot_harddisk.jpg
Your HDD will be listed as its brand and model number.
I tried doing that just now but when it boots with the HDD connected it just sits at the screen that give me my options of boot menu, system restore, diagnostics, etc. So it freezes it when it boots up with it and if connected after boot the computer doesn't detect that it's there. No wonder I usually don't deal with computers..... :wallbash:

I don't know if it's come up already but I went through 13 pages on this section and couldn't find one so I'm doing one now.
Before Skyrim's release I asked if you could play left handed and thought I'd be able to since you could individually equip weapons/spells to the left or right hand. I played and equipped the sword in my right hand and swung a few times. I assign it to the left hand and all I get while swinging is 1 horizontal slice. I didn't try to see how the shield works in the right hand fearing it wouldn't work properly.
So I ask if a modder can fix this for me and any other left handed people out there that want a left handed character. I would love it if you could make the left hand perform like the right hand does while swinging one handed and two handed weapons and bows though I guess that would also involve editing kill animations and such to go with it. I'd really care less about animations as long as I can play left-handed. I hope when the creation kit is released this could be a doable mod.

I love the idea of this but I'm not against the anime styled ones. They're interspecies thing to me. Though some races I'd like to see as true beast races would be horses, dragons, bears, various types of monkeys/apes, wolves, dragons, turtles, tigers, lions, birds, rabbits, foxes and that's about all I can think of for right now. Though I feel the dragons need to have the ability to fly and not like an actual dragon like the other's thread was about. More like the wolf from the first post. If these could all be done and thrown into a big race pack then I would be happy in skyrim for a while
Oh and as a personal thing I'd like to see zoras and gorons from LoZ though not cartoony.

Personally I like traditional vampires, especially since the travisty known as Twilight. Although this would be an interesting alternative to have. If done right it could be a nice mod. However, I'd really like a vampire mod for this like LTD-Vampire Overhaul mod for oblivion once the creation kit is finally released.

I agree with this. I was very disappointed to get all 3 words for unrelenting force only to hear "Fus.....Ro dah".

I have the external out of the enclosure and it's sitting in my PC. Only problem is that I can not find the plugs needed for it. I searched the whole inside of my computer and tried to find plugs like the ones connecting to my 1st HDD since it's the same kind of port. I found one plug that fit to it and took the other from my disc drive to see if it works but even with those plugs it doesn't recognize it on my system. I'm confused what to do now.

So I just setup my computer with my 50in TV and of course my dog ran through the wires and messed stuff up. She knocked over my external harddrive. There's no clicking sounds or any visible damage but it did fall directly on it's plug that goes to my computer. The drive still turns on but my computer won't recognize it's there. It's 1.5TB and has almost all my games on there, except skyrim that i'm so grateful I transferred to my internal, so I'm pretty screwed here. Some of these games I don't even have discs for anymore and others will just take hours to re-download them all. I figure since the device can still be turned on there has to be a way that I can still access the files. I don't want to go with taking it to a shop so how can I fix this on my own if that's even possible?
EDIT: Just looked where the mini-usb connector of the USB cable connects to my external and it's a little crooked now. Could it just be the port is broken? if so how do i fix that?

The whole female orc skeleton is male. Notice how the helmets don't look right on female orcs (stand side by side with Lydia, if you want to compare), it's because they're shaped to fit a male character model. Wearing helmets also makes their hair magically disappear.
Anyway, it's not like the other females go around prancing on the tundra, their animations aren't "girly" at all, so I see no reason for this lazy ass swap Bethesda did.
It's not that their animations are "girly" they're just more feminine. Tell me that the walk animations on females don't look more feminine than the males' walk animation. Either way to the OP just wait for someone to change the animation like me or simply play first-person and not see the animations if they bug you.

do you already have accessories like monitor, keyboard, mouse, Windows 7 etc?
assuming you have those already (since your previous thread was about your current set up) here is a theoretical list, comes up to exactly $1100 :P
as i said, this comes up right to $1100. the HDD may be small, but its faster then a 10k RPM drive. if you would rather have size over speed, this HDD will work too. unfortunately there was an HDD crisis recently, and any and all HDDs have rise in price quite a lot. normally for that price youd be looking at 2tb ez.
lastly i recommend a 3rd party heatsink as the stock heatsinks that come with CPUs usually stink. this is even more true if you ever plan on OCing. of course getting one would put you over $1100, but here are two options for you if you would like to get one.
honestly I'd prefer the AMD Radeon HD 6950. I've just always stuck with AMD/ATI. One of my friends suggested this GPU to me. The other things I like but I think I'll look at different graphics card. I say my budget is around $1,100 since that's about the lowest I believe my budget will work out to be so it might be fine going a bit above. And where's the sound card? And out of curiosity would it be possible to have two HDDs? You know, have 2 fast HDD instead of 1 big slow one?

Had other thread about if I needed to upgrade motherboard/processor. I thought it'd be best to start a new one for advice on building a completely new PC.
Anyways I want to build a completely new custom PC instead of trying to upgrade my current. I'm trying to build the best gaming computer I can get with a budget of about $1,100. I know nothing about any of this so I really need help. I need the stuff from newegg too so no other sites please. I prefer using ATI/AMD cards and Intel processors. Thanks in advance to any who helps.
-
Well I don't know much about building computers, even simply selecting certain parts from that site you linked me too. I guess I might as well go custom since everyone keeps telling that.
-
That's what I thought. Though doesn't matter much now. I'm going to sell my current and my parents and grandparents are going to pitch in for a completely new computer. Can someone suggest a computer brand for a really good gaming computer? I have a budget around maybe $1,100 since since I'm selling my current computer. I would go custom but 1) I don't know anything about parts 2) I've had bad experiences ordering parts for custom (items not arriving on time, broken pieces) so I just want to look at already built ones.

So I'm getting an AMD Radeon HD 6990 graphics card soon. I know my power supply good but I was never sure about my motherboard and processor. I wasnt sure what info was needed form dxdiag so I'm just posting whatever it reads for my stuff.
Processor: Intel Core2 Quad CPU Q8200 @ 2.33GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.3GHz
Motherboard: Couldn't get much info on my mother except that it's model is Benicia

What's your favourite method of killing the adoring fan?

It's great if you like the Harvest Moon series (made by same company) and like JRPGs.

Explore the ocean on a giant golem, fight monsters, restore stone islands back to normal and grow crops there with the help of tamed monsters. Interact and do requests for the townsfolk and marry one of the bachelors or bachelorettes. 1st half of the game (basicly main story) is played as Aden (you can create a custom name but it's the default name) and your best friend Sonja's soul is trapped within your body. After completing the main plot, Sonja gets her body back, you are able to marry a girl as Aden and you can also unlock the choice of playing as Sonja and marrying one of the Island's bachelor's You can have them marry each other too since one will become an NPC while playing as the other. I think it's a pretty good game and series.

Anyone else on here play the Rune Factory series? And if so do you have Tides of Destiny on PS3/Wii?
-
possibly mw3, but im happy skyrim will be Game of the year by far :)
You sir sicken me...
BF3... I will play it before Skyrim... play skyrim for a few months... return to BF3
BF3 will be 3 times the ga,e MW3 is
Actual tactical gameplay.
Vehicular warefare.
Fighterjets.
No lonewolf is ever enough to win (for either side)
I could argue for a while on this... but just from this basic perspective... BF3 already beats MW3
Lets not bring on another debate about what game is better. It happens too much and things get off topic
It's all about perspective which is why there's a division amongst gamers because we all have different views of what makes a good console or game. Lets leave it at that move on, k?

Yea thats what i mean't, lol i was thinking of dragons from the first one, yeah thats what it should of been called.
One problem with the game there is no MAPPP!! grr, come on a rpg without a map is unheard of :verymad:
But if you have a map then you're less likely to explore the maps and find hidden treasure. And I like there's no map. Adds to the difficulty keeps you constantly thinking about what you're going to run into and go through next. That is, when you're not busy thinking about how you're going to kill your current enemies :P

Fight Taurus Demon. He's a meanie. And boy does being a knight with an iron shield help sooooo much. Taking little to no damage while blocking is a life saver especially on the bosses

I got Dark Souls yesterday. Gamestop had shipping screw ups so they didn't have my PS3 CE in. Instead they let me take home a regular copy and would inform when a CE comes in and allow me to exchange the regular copy for my CE. So far the game is really great and total challenge. I still haven't gotten past the 1st boss after the tutorial level in the asylum. Freaking one hit kills me and there's 2 damn archers behind me I can't kill :wallbash: gets me full of rage like Demon Souls did but makes me feel so satisfied when I accomplish something

These types of comments are not meant to be read into by the fanbase .. they are press releases and made so that "joe gamer" sees it and thinks "oh! .. I remember oblivion .. its was that massive RPG a few years back that my friends talked about .. derp.. I like vikings too <:P"
The obsessive dragon marketing and simple quick quotes like these are made for the general gamer and not the fans .. your reading way way WAY to much into it.
I like what you said about that. It's pretty much true too. Bethesda knows it has a huge fan base and they only need to say "We're working on a new Elder Scrolls game" and the vast majority of them are already in their hands. They say all the extra non-needed things in order to attract the new players.
