  1. So I'm not sure how possible this is - Right now, bodies can be dragged around, though some are too heavy. I'd like to be able to pick smaller ones up, and have a correctly equipped automaton or companion do the same. Ideally, they'd still have a decent weight to them, to keep it realistic. An automaton fitted out for carry weight can hold a substantial amount, so they should be able to carry a couple of raider corpses, or a dead mirelurk or brahmin. This may seem pointless - But there's a mod that adds an Auto-butcher to manufacturing, and feeding corpses into that results in meat and other things being produced, so this would serve some purpose. It would also mean other mods could do more with corpses, such as having a butchering station for settlers to use, or even just putting dead things in the junk mortar for fun. Ideas: - Give corpses of various sizes weight appropriate to their size. - Glowing variant corpses should irradiate you if you're carrying them. - A meat-bag add on could be added for automatons, which would give them a large boost to carry weight that could only be used for corpses. I did initially think a meat hook might be better, but realised that attaching a corpse to the outside of a big automaton might cause physics issues. - Maybe the mod could include a butchery workbench that the player could process corpses at. - Similarly, it could include a butchery station that settlers could be assigned to, and they'd then butcher corpses and perhaps would even gather any in the settlement. This could add food/happiness to a settlement, though it would need an option to enable or disable cannibalism. If cannibalism were enabled, the happiness bonus would be negated. As an extension to the above, and perhaps a more immediately useful feature, automaton corpses could have their own workbench/station, and chopping them up would net relevant materials, armor pieces, and perhaps even the rare intact limb/part to use at the robot workbench.
  2. Yeah, I thought the rollers would be smoother and let items move more easily, but as the linked video shows that's not the case. It feels like the conveyors could have been much more fleshed out. There are no upward ramps, the only lifts are huge and there's no simple way to merge conveyors yet. Hopefully someone can mod conveyors to be more varied. I thought of another reason for covers - So that small npcs dumped onto the conveyors can't escape!
  3. So far, conveyors are fun. They seem to be missing some important features, but they work. Currently, there's no easy way to merge two conveyors. There's a way to split one to two, but no way to take two and funnel them both to one. The conveyor lifts in the DLC are huge and unwieldy, as is the hopper. This video (Not mine!) neatly displays the problem: https://youtu.be/SMxjdN8K7Dw?t=690 My requests: - A way to merge a conveyor onto another, either via a reversed version of the left/right branch, or some kind of small lift. Something akin to this: would be perfect. - Smaller height lifts for conveyors. Similar to the existing conveyor lifts, but not so huge, instead just lifting the item enough to drop it onto another conveyor, or to allow it to cross over a standard height conveyor belt. - Snappable blocks/small platforms/tables to put the manufacturing machines and conveyors just a little higher. Same reason as above, but also just to make conveyors more flexible. This could be done with existing tables and furniture, but it would look strange. - Some kind of covering for conveyors, preferably snapping, preferably glass. This is mostly because it would look neat, but also because I've already tried to run across a conveyor and knocked things off of it. - Panels that affix to the sides of conveyors, at an angle, so items can more easily be dropped onto them. Currently the hopper machine is huge and unwieldy, but simple funnels would do the same job. Really, what I'm after is more conveyors to fill the perceived gaps in the contraptions DLC. I've no idea how possible the above suggestions are, but the funnel idea already exists in the ball runs part of the DLC.
  4. I found manufacturing extended shortly after posting this :D It's awesome so far. Though, I've yet to try the auto-butcher because I can't figure out how I'll go about putting the larger corpses in!
  5. Right now you have to drop items into a contraptions dlc machine for it to manufacture stuff, but I'd rather just chuck the raw ingredients in - Steel, copper, etc. Not the whole junk items. Would it be possible to add a new manufacturing machine that automatically turns junk items into their component parts, spitting them out on a conveyor? It'd be cool to see all the junk we collect turning into materials. I found a scrapping bench amongst the mods on Nexus, so whilst that does the job, it's not quite as fun as it would be using conveyors.
