  1. Can I get a link to hearthcraft? I cant seem to find a SE version of it ):
  2. Hey, So I'm using Reshade to create my own post process effects, and I've run into a slight problem. Using Ambient light and HDR Together produces some really nice, full lighting effects, but has the unfortunate side effect of making my sky way to bright. I thought maybe it was my weather mod working in conjunction, COT, but uninstalling it seems to have no effect on the brightness. I'm not running an ENB, at least not at the moment, so I can't use the enblocal.ini to change it, which seems to be the go to fix that I've been able to find online (Which still doesn't help me, because it tells me to find the [ sky ] header, which is aparently non-existant in the ENB I was previously using). So my question is is their a way I can turn down just sky brightness, or how much light the clouds reflect? I'm fairly sure thats what is causing the excessive brightness, as it is most notable on clouds, and on clearer days I can see some of the blue sky. Either INI tweaks, a mod, anything that will let me adjust the brightness without losing AL and ADR would be welcome! Thanks.
  3. Well then, I'm just going to stick with Wrye! Thanks~
  4. Hey, just curious, I'm coming from Oblivion with Wryebash, finally getting around to modding up Skyrim, and I see much more of an insistence to use NMM as opposed to Wrye, but the functionality and usefulness of Wryebash makes me... wary. Is their a difference, does one do something better than the other, and are their any major functions that one has over the other? Thanks guys~
  5. Hey guys, So after many months of tinkering and trying to figure out this modding stuff, I do belive I've done it. I've worked out incompatibilities, over and over, and generally got myself down to crashing every hour or so. This, however, isn't nearly enough time in my opinion. So if anyone has any good stability tips, I'd love to hear them. I use Oblivion Stutter Remover, and Oblivion reloaded's FPS Management. I also 4GB Patched all of the Exe and DLL's, and have my Preload size limit set higher than a gig and a half. Is there a way to turn up Ipreload more? I know it says in the Tweak guide the max anyone should set it to, but it doesn't list corresponding settings for Interior/Exterior buffer, which is specifically states should be changed as well. I'm looking to scrap any bit of time I can into my build, so any tips are welcome! And if anyone knows, or can direct me to a source to learn, about Heap management and all that advanced stuff in Oblivion stutter remover, that would be grand. My load order, in case your curious; Active Mod Files: Thanks for any help you guys can give! And thank you to those of you who have been replying to my many questions, and helping me get into modding for the first time. Without this Forum and its awesome members, this would have been much harder.
  6. Haha I didnt think it was a problem with OR itself, but rather something more like a landscape changing Problem. Thank you, I shall head over there and post about it, to see if I can get rid of it haha. Many thanks.
  7. I'm still pretty new to this myself, but i can tell you one thing. Experince matters, alot, which is why he was able to do it so quickly. And yes, you will spend days modding it, I'm a few months in. Once you get into it, You'll discover that building your oblivion game is almost as fun as playing it, Imho.
  8. Does anyone know how to get rid of the annoying and incredably obviouse lines that come with using Ambient occlusion? I'm using Oblivion reloaded, and when turning on AO I get this: http://i1228.photobucket.com/albums/ee451/lost2270/2016-01-04_00001.jpg If you know how to get rid of this, I'd appreciate a link and a discription.
  9. Update. It's deffinatly only a problem when better cities is installed, If that helps anyone.
  10. So I'm building my mods up, and have for several weeks now been working on getting it stable. After much reading, and hunting down patchs and the like, I have my game running with no crashes. Only to hit another problem. :wallbash: Whenever I'm in the IC Market place (with BC installed) When I look to the shopping center that contains Devine elegence, Best Defense ect. ect. Everything but NPCS hair and eyes go missing, and I can see grass loading in as well, but the floor and walls and buildings all become transparent. The Error Then when I turn my head like, five feet to either side it goes away, And everything returns to normal. If anyone else has had this problem, or knows what causes this problem and how to fix it, any help would be appreciated. I tried to google it, but i found nothing that was particularaly helpful when looking. I'm trying to backtrack and find out what it is that changes this, but I have no idea what it could be. Better cities is last in my Load Order, as instructed, and the only thing after it are compatability patchs for my other mods. I'll post my load order as well. Active Mod Files: Any help if welcomed!
  11. Self Help: Yes, Yes I can. By dragging the DoF Effect from BNW, and replacing the one installed with Natural ENB, It worked. So nevermind haha.
  12. So I was wondering if I could mix and match settings from ENBS. I really like the DOF Effect in The Brave New World ENB series, but the Color and brightness of that ENB is a little to much for me. On the other hand, Natural ENBS Lighting and shade give the game a grim but still hopeful look, and works perfctly with All Naturals Real Lights, which I also have installed. I'm fairly sure, after a wee bit of googling, that You can mix and match the settings for ENBS, But I haven't been able to get a definite answer, or any hint on how to actually do it. If anyone has any knowledge about this, and could help me out, it be great. All I wanna do is pull the DoF From Brave New World, and apply it to Natural ENB. Thanks
  13. Ugh, yeah thats what I was afraid of. Backtracking problems is such a pain  I wasnt aware there was a wrye bash forum though, so I'll try posting there and see if its a non-issue, or something that needs to be adressed. Sense I've been getting this error, I've been crashing every once in awhile, but more often than I think I should; I.E Like every 30 minutes or so. The struggle for a stable Oblivion game is real, all I want is like 2 hours or so of non-crashing. That'd be great. Thanks man! I appreciate the feedback, I'll start working on deactivating mods (agian) till I can find the source of the problem.
  14. So when I open wrye bash and refresh the installers, I get an error message in the popup troubleshooting window. Traceback (most recent call last): File "bash\balt.pyo", line 1803, in _conversation_wrapper File "bash\basher\__init__.pyo", line 4094, in RefreshData File "bash\bosh.pyo", line 4935, in refresh File "bash\bosh.pyo", line 3866, in refresh File "bash\bosh.pyo", line 3096, in sameAsAttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'size' Anyone have any information on what this is and what could cause it? I'm fairly sure its one of my mods, because what else could cause that ya dig? So I'll be deactivating them and checking to see if it goes away. Regardless, If anyone has any information about hat this error means for future refrence, lemme know! Any help is appreciated.
  15. So which one of these should I use. Pbash takes longer, and seems to recognize a smaller amount of plugins, whereas Cbash works much faster, recognizes more plugins, and gives me an error message (even if I'm not fluent enough in code to recognize what it means). I know it says to use Pbash, because Cbash is still in development, but I'm not sure exactly when that was written, as I've come across sevral outdated things in my time modding oblivion.
  16. I have indeed read the readmes, That was an oversight on my part, As I wasnt aware that I hadnt deactivated Crowded cities. I do, however, appreciate the link, as more information is always helpful  I was under the impression that I had to remove Omobs from the game and install Fmobs, because of BOSS. It seams i made a mistake, as I had thought that I was supposed to uninstall the UOP's and install the OMOB instead. If I'm incorrect with this, that would explain a number of the issues I've been having, because a few of the mods that I run require them. I just thought Fmobs was packaged with them. I had no idea I shouldnt use safer roads and spawn rates increased! Thank you ( : I Know which one I'd rather keep, so I'll simply turn off Safer roads. I also didnt know that Marts knights instead of OOO Knights, another problem done! I'm rather partial to crowded cities and roads, but I do see the point in losing it, and will probably just uninstall them to save room. I'll drop keychain, happily, if darn is installed with it. I had to instal DarnUi threw OMOB, because I'm a bit too fresh to wanna try and repackage it myself for BAIN, and to be honest, Darn was one of the first mods I ever downloaded, so I'm not sure if i read the readme thoroughly, so I'll go back and give that one a glance. Thank you all for your help, it is greatly appreciated, and I'll post if I learn anything about it. Agian, thank you! You've pointed out so many things I had no idea had a problem, and am skeptical I would have found those problems myself without restarting, agian.
  17. Aha, yeah, wasnt sure where to put this, So i just posted in all relevent sections. I had thought I'd disabled MMM.esp, but it apears i missed that, so I will indeed disable that and see if that fixes the problem. Regardless, I appreciate the help that you've given. I have crowded cities 15 turned off, but not removed from my load order, should I follow up and do that? I'm not sure if it'll matter. And holy crap, I'd been hoping to avoid checking my mods one at a time, but a binary search is a great answer to that problem. If the problem presists, I'll try that. In the meantime, anyone with any additional information, any help would be appreciated. I'm only about three weeks deep in the modding scene, and learning by trail and error is frustrating, so let me know if anyone out their has more information. As a last restort, I'll try uninstalling everything and reinstalling my mods in the proper order, but I'd rather avoid that as it takes a few hours.
  18. Reposting in the mods section, agian this time in mod help, as I feel like I might get a better hit in here than in the technical section. I re-bought Oblivion, and after around three weeks of trying to get it modded, have given up and turn to you for help. So I've been trying to get my oblivion game stable for awhile now, I've run it threw boss, I've redirected the BSA archives, I've bashed patched the s*** out of it, LoDGen, the works, and I still crash every 10 to 15 minutes of gameplay. I'm not sure what I've done wrong, and maybe I just need less mods, but If its avoidable I'd rather keep the ones I have. My Load Order is as follows: Active Mod Files:Active Mod Files: Any help would be appreciated, if I need to just run less mods tell me, My system is decent but not badass, but I feel like it should be able to run this no problem, and the 10 to 15 minutes of gameplay I do have I'm running around 20 or so FPS average, spiking around 30, so I feel like its not my computer.Could be wrong tho. Please, any help is appreciated, I'm sick and tired of trying to get this to work all on my own, so I turn to you, people with vastly more modding experince and time than I have. My crashs are most aparent on the road from Chorrol to Bruma, or when trapsing around the wilderness. I thought maybe it was UL, but I've downloaded all the compatiablity patchs that I think I need, So I'm unsure if its that. I have heap management turned on in OSR, Which I do belive should help, and quiet feet turned on in the tweak section. Seriously, I'm not sure what other additional information I can give to help anyone solve this problem, as I have only a limited and beginners knowladge of modding  Any response or help at all will be appreciated, compatiblities I missed or Mods that dont work correctly, anything.
