I got bored and decided to play New Vegas with a (long sinced removed) zombie mod, all is fine but spawning is inconsistent and eventually I'll enter a new cell with seemingly hundreds of spawned zombies. is there a way I can edit the spawn script or a mod in which I can limit the amount spawned or remove them over a certain amount, like 30?

I got it, it was the 3.0 shaders! I reverted the shaderpackage013 back to vanilla and interior detection worked again, apparently by uninstalling via steam it didn't delete the shaders folder so the edited shader stayed there after a clean install
I'm posting a year late, but this solved my "always inside" issue.
Changing your shader packages around breaks the ENB and always detects you as inside.

I've been away from New Vegas for a little while and decided to come back, I've updated a few things such as JIP plugin and while that's fine, it in turn broke (the now hidden) Power Armor Distribution Overhaul mod. This is probably due to it being an outdated mod, but the old version and the replacement mod are both hidden and I really like the mod and have modified it myself extensively. Even the original, by itself and TTW doesn't work without an old version of JIP :wallbash:
Basically the issue is that the DC (and only DC) power armor users are all naked (resetinventory command gave them their armor back with the old JIP, removed it with new JIP)
They stay naked unless I use an older version of JIP, which stops other mods from working.
Is there anyway I can get this to work again?
OK, looking through, it's actually a compatibility patch for TTW that's in need of updating.

ENB is a "post-processor". It applies it's affects after the game engine and video card have rendered them, but before the screen is displayed. So, what is being passed to it makes it think it's "indoors". You can take a look at the "Solutions to Post-Processor (ENB/SweetFX et. al.) problems" section of the "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide for some guidance.
However, my guess is your basic problem is that your OS is not supported. I've never heard of "Win 98+" (and I've supported every MS business OS since DOS 1, but I will admit that 98 is old enough I may have just forgotten it.) Minimum system requirements call for Win7 (and DirectX 9). You can contact the ENBDEV forums to see if they can provide any assistance, but I'm all but certain without digging into it the d3d9.dll requirement is not going to work with Win98.
For my money, Win7 remains the best platform for 32-bit PC games.

I probably should have worded it better. Basically my issue with ENB is that the only values that actually have an effect are the indoor values. It's playable but certain effects like bloom are insanely high due to using the indoor values.
I appreciate that 1st link, but doesn't really help my issue (but will help my others).
Also I'm on Win 10 64-bit. The Win 98 is a joke. :laugh:

Hi guys,
I'm having an issue with ENB, it seems to always think that I'm inside. Only changing the indoor values do anything.
I've tried reinstalling ENB, A different one and reinstalling the entire game. I just can't seem to fix it.

So guys, I've had a clear out of stuff and managed to delete a texture for the corpses the raiders like to use as decorations.
It's only the skin texture.
Can anyone point me to a mod that improves them or the loose mesh I could delete.

Does anyone know if Shadowplay or Nvidia drivers in general can cause CTD with Fallout 4 specifically? My game was playing fine yesterday and now it crashes to desktop when I enter combat. If I can snipe the enemies from a distance it seems to get around the issue. Also, the first combat encounter that caused CTD (repeatedly) involved a mutant hound that was having messed up animations. It was kinda moonwalking around...on its head. Sniping him allowed to me to get past that combat zone, but it keeps happening each time I enter combat with more than one enemy. The other combat zone was gunners attacking Finch Farm, and it was mostly too chaotic for me to see if any odd animations were happening. But I did think I saw a gunner down on the ground, as though incapped. Usually only settlers go down that way.
I ask if this can be caused by Shadowplay bc I installed it today before launching the game. I see that some people are having issues with the latest Nvidia driver in general, so I rolled back my driver. Still happening. I tried running the game with Shadowplay turned off, and it made it through combat (it crashed at that point two times prior) but after combat was over, it CTD again.
Or, has anyone had this issue with the latest patch by Beth? I see where people are having issues in workshop mode since the patch, but my workshop mode is working fine.
I do not have any mods that affect combat at all. But, I do have mods that affect armor so might that be an issue? I can't think of any mods I have that would affect animations either. I mostly just do clothes mods and settlement mods.
Oh, yeah, and my framerate was stable at the time of the crashes, and there was no error message. Just black screen, then desktop. The only other thing was that my controller began vibrating and it stuck that way after the game was crashed. Had to unplug it to get it to stop.
Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions, I'd appreciate it. Probably tomorrow I will start going through my mods looking for a problem, but I really suspect it is an Nvidia thing since turning off Shadowplay at least helped.

Slight necro.
But I find that Shadowplay gives me all kinds of issues. If I play FIFA 16 with it on it tends to crash my game randomly, same with Fallout 4. Sometimes my PC will even lock up. But it's only really since I've switched from 670 SLI to a 980 Ti, however I rarely, if ever, used it until now.

Hi guys, me again.
I have decided to clean up my menu folder and swap MTUI for Darn, which worked perfectly.
The issue I have comes from UIO creating a Start_menu.xml that breaks my game and stops New Vegas from getting past the Bethesda logo, but if I copy the Start_menu.xml.uio contents into the xml file it works perfectly. That's until UIO recreates another broken xml file.
A cheap fix I've got working is to set it as read only, but this then breaks MCM so that I can't use it, although everything works I just can't go into MCM to change anything as it's not there.
My question to you is this; how can I get UIO stop itself from editing this one specific menu? Because it's really damn annoying.

Hi guys.
I have this peculiar issue with my New Vegas, It was running fine until I exited and tried starting back up again. At this point it wouldn't load up the menu, the cursor shows up fine but the menu wont load. I've tried disabling all my mods, refreshing my ini and stuff.
I can't figure it out. It works fine on a fresh install with my existing ini but not on my original, and if I use a fresh ini on my existing install it doesn't even give me the cursor.
What doesn't make sense is that it was fine about an hour ago and I didn't change anything.

also, did you tick bUseThreadedAI=0 to bUseThreadedAI=1
and add the line iNumHWThreads=2 in your Fallout.ini and Fallout_Default.ini?

Also the cell buffers in that ini are insanely high, uExterior Cell Buffer=576, unless they have ugrids to 71.
When I took that screenshot I had those both in my ini files. But not the fallout_default.ini, as far as I know I should leave that alone. I'll give it a shot though. -
Hello gurus of the internet.
I have this major problem where Fallout is limited to using 1 core out of my 4, I've gotten used to it as I can play at 30fps quite happily.
But certain places are really bad, such as Point Lookout docks, it is at best 25fps and I'm certain this isn't healthy for my processor.
I've tried all sorts of tweaks and "fixes", I've got FNV4gb, NV stutter remover and NVAC. I've also played with my ini, I've defaulted my ini and used other people's "multi-core" tweaks. Nothing works and my eyes are starting to bleed.
This is a fresh install not too long ago and it's been like this since forever. Fallout 3 has the same issue (not that I play it having TTW and all), but Skyrim hasn't. Any help to even get me on 2 cores is appreciated.

I had this issue, now I've got the same issue but with positive values. I currently have 2 billion xp out 2 billion and 1 need to rank up. If I do level up it constantly rewards me hundreds of thousands of xp after each level up.
So far I've not found anything to help
player.rewardxp: just gives me the xp to level up creating the cycle of level ups.
player.advlevel: same as above.player.setlevel: just sets my level.
Doing this just made it worse for me. All I could think of is modify the xp need to rank up to said number, but seeing as you're in the negatives it wouldn't help

Hi guy's I'm currently suffering from an extremely annoying bug when using ENB. Every and all presets I use for some reason only use interior values even in an exterior.
I'm using 0.254 and i've reinstalled it and used both the wrapper and injector.
I also have an issue with the sun too http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1710414-enb-sun-flickering/
Could a mod be doing this?

Exact same problem, it's quite annoying and quite frustrating, I've tried deleting the sun textures plus experimenting with the enbeffect.fx file, still nothing.
I've still not managed to find anything on this. I've deleted all ENB files and reinstalled, used wrapper and the injector versions. Still no dice.
What graphics card + drivers you have?

Basically what happens is the sun effect will turn itself on and off when I move my camera in certain places I've tried reinstalling ENB as well as my weather mods.
I'm using ENB 0.254 binary and a slightly modified version of Naturalism ENB http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/53569/?
I can play with sky disable, but i'd like to either disable the sun effect or fix it so I can have the rest of the sky modified. Any help is appreciated.

I posted about my poor performance due to SLI, after a complete reinstall and disabling SLI I still get poor performance due to my graphics card being used only ~50-60% at most
I really have no idea what is causing this, the only other game that does this is EDuke32 which never uses more than 25%.
Please help, 36FPS along with monumental stutter is painful because your card is being lazy!
At the time of the Screen cap attached it was raining, I was standing outside Tenpenny Tower (via TTW) and I am using NMC's medium texture pack with ENB which doesn't affect performance on or off in these situations (mostly a 5 or 6 FPS boost.)

It only restores files that are missing, It doesn't delete any mods as far as I know.

After getting my SLI running I decided to test my games out see how much more awesome they are, but New Vegas doesn't really want to work.
On the Strip looking towards the gate leading to the Tops would drop my frame rate to ~35 FPS until I look behind me, Freeside drops it to 45 FPS.
The annoying thing is, this happens regardless of ENB being used or not as well as my resolution. I Removed the D3D9.dll of the ENB and dropped my resolution to 720, fiddled and removed Stutter remover = same FPS.
I don't understand. Any help that could even raise my FPS to a minimum of 50 would be greatly appreciated.

I was looking to try and retexture the jumpsuit ghoul from the blue RobCo jumpsuit to the green Army jumpsuit, my only problem is, I have no idea how to find the texture in the BSAs as I don't know it's name and it isn't in the creatures/ghoul folders either. :(
I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction.

So in lieu of TTW 2.0a, I thought I'd play my normal New Vegas. After I updated my mods MCM will crash my game when ever I try to exit from it back to my game. I fixed it once but soon after it broke again although nothing changed.
Please help I have pretty much reinstalled everything to no avail, and it's rather annoying. Thanks.
EDIT: I've worked out that stutter remover is causing MCM to play up?

Hi all,
I don't know what it is as I've just come back from Skyrim, where I was using ENB with all it's goodies along with 2k textures at a happy 50-60 FPS, to end up having Fallout drop to 30 on occasions when I was able to hit 60 anywhere and everywhere.
I would love some advice as Dead Money is at a painful ~30FPS

it looks like there is no halo armor for new vegas I cant find it any where as well. I guess nexus took them all down :(
