Daedric enemy like the Valkrie- HELLS YES!! (Armoured winged twilight?)Am not familiar with Armored winged twilight.....A quick google mentioned an eight legged spider....is that right???......YUUUUK!!!
Just saying that Winged twilights Or Daedra seducers or something else Daedric would fit the roll of a naked demon woman with wings. But they would not take people to sovengard (rather eat their face)Naked-NO<{notice elaborate answer}......How about an evil Valkyrie?...with minimal coverage {should always have some "mystique"}. The Sovngard-=-Valhalla similarity leads me think "Valkyrie"......and perhaps gathers souls from Sovngard if evil...& undermining Alduin. OR maybe turns evil after killing Alduin and pursues a career of killing "good dragons" or killing everyone including gathering all the souls in Sovngard....bleh i'll leave the creativity to the creative peeps.

Valkyrie's are good,but they fit more to a diablo-or world of warcraft styled game.IMO.Hope you're not thinking of the Amazons "Valkyrie" from D2...IDK how Amazons are associated with Valkyries....a mish mash on behalf of Blizzard???...But then I'm not familiar with WOW...maybe there's some connection there.

I installed NMM and had no success. Everything activated fine but no mods. As I said, I have used the forums, so i made sure files were not read only and everything else suggested. No go.
I have never used NMM, when you say "everything activated fine"...Does that mean that the mod has a tick in DATA FILES when you launch the game?......I know it sounds ridiculously obvious BUT it happened to me :laugh:
Other than what's been said...mods should be working...unless it has something to do with being on E drive instead of C drive....but i doubt that would cause problem. GL. tc.

Am not knowledgable on TES lore, but having nords in Skyrim ...would it be so "out of place"?
Maybe a Valkyrie class character & quests to suit...possibly to get the flying horse and/or other things...A quest perhaps along the lines of Beowulf & Grendel story....even the "Xena series" had an "altered" 3 part story involving Beowulf & Grendel....So why not "alter" the story to fit into Skyrim it would have the possibility of having a different follower and/or jewelery, armor etc.
Have seen requests for mounting dragon...So IF that could be done...why not a horse [with mounted combat would be nice] and perhaps easier to implement than on a dragon {the horse being smaller}.... would make for interesting battles with dragons in flight.
I realize this is an immense request and would need the CK ...but just thought to "throw it out there".
Am looking forward to any replies/comments as to whether a mod such as this could be or shouldn't be implemented...especially from creative writers, modders and people that know TES lore. tc.

This needs to addressed by Bethesda, i think there is an ASI loader required mod to deal with this ...though am reluctant to use {why complicate things?}....as it is have made an illusion vampire using one 1H wep....as i think that is the way game was tested IE: Spell/one1Hwep wielding...which is SO mush easier to return to after using L/R spell...IE: hotkey actually works that way.
I find it very sad that even a game like Diablo2 can have wep swap hotkey and how old is that game? and Skyrim ...something like 5-7 years later didn't get it right....OH YES am ANNOYED as well !. tc.

Believe me, I'm tired of killing all the Thalmor, mercenaries, hired thugs, Dark Brotherhood assassins, etc that are sent to kill me for my crimes, it's annoying. It seems everyone wants me dead and they are willing to pay a lot of coin for it too. Luckily, each and every one of those assassins fail the mission.
The Thalmor hate me because I wiped out an entire fort filled with them and now they try to kill me every time I see them. Although my character is a high elf I hate the Thalmor so I enjoy killing them.
Then I've got some Black-Briar mercenaries trying to kill me because I messed with the Black-Briar Family and Riften in general.
Also there are thugs, hired by the Black-Briars as well. I should really wipe out that family, they are getting on my nerves.
And finally, the Dark Brotherhood, the most annoying of the ones that try to kill me. Their assassins are just pathetic, mostly they die before they even get near me, and if they do get near me it's because their bodies fall close to me after I kill them. What's the worse, they appear everywhere I go, it seems like the Dark Brotherhood has an unlimited supply of incompetent assassins at their disposal. It doesn't say who sent them in the letters but my guess is that Black-Briars did it, they tend to hire guys to kill me.
I am also kicked out from some of the holds as well :facepalm:.
I can't go to Riften because I killed some people there, some argonian tried to kill me and while I was trying to get rid of him I accidentally killed a guard, then more guards came and more guards. Let's just say a 21000 coins bounty is hard to pay off, and I might get a couple of centuries in jail if I don't pay. Thank god I can't die from old age in Skyrim :laugh:.
I can't go to Windhelm either because I accidentally killed some people while trying to end the Blood On The Ice quest (15000 coins bounty, mostly because of the dead guards).
In Markarth I've had a similar situation like in Riften, when I entered the city some guy pulled out his dagger, I killed him immediately and all hell broke loose. Now I've got a 24000 coins bounty.
In Falkreath I had a little accident with a certain ring and after the transformation ended I had a 13000 coins bounty for killing and eating several guards, some innocent bystanders and a priest.
And the last one I'm not allowed to enter is Solitude, I hold a personal record when it comes to bounty there, 57000 coins. I earned that bounty when I tried to save Roggvir and got into a fight with everyone. I must say, here is a whole bunch of guards in Solitude, more than anywhere else, it's like an ant colony but with guards instead of ants.
And I think that's about it. I'd say I'm screwed, I got nowhere to go and the places I go to are swarming with assassins hired to kill me. Ah, well, it seems I've got a lot of jail time to serve and a family to kill afterwards. I'm gonna kill the Black-Briars, they had enough of their fun trying to kill me, now it's my turn to play :devil:.
Pacify...illusionist skill ...get sanguine vampire...and if ya don't mind a little cheat a "ring of potion" or ya could maybe make fortify illusion potions and pacify everyone...well most....and progress with quests....i did what you did in first play-through ...had about 500k bounty....i really hate the lack of respect from npc's ....so killed 'em all...all that could be anyway. tc.

@xanordan you don't have to do most of the quests "there and then" ...can un-check it and do it later. Yes the quests seem to be somewhat more variational...{can only answer based on two play-throughs of ES4...which i found to be ridiculously monotonous and boring...hence only two play-throughs...there was a couple of quests that were kinda OK though.
@icomadial999 Yeah ya get a map up-date just by hearing about a possible quest...that's a "nice" thing.
@mazakala It's nice to be able to "move on" to next quest rather than stumbling around the same dungeon...adds to the variation...But like you say you have modded games before and therefore i think it gives you a kind of "overview" and understanding of map layout...making it easier for ya {unlike me with short term memory dmg} is easy to get lost hehe...But i also contribute that to the graphics ..for some reason i get more eye strain from skyrim than any game i've ever played...and i don't blame my rig {[email protected] 5770} it's gettin' old But it plays NWN2 very well and next to never "stutters" and NWN2 in my opinion is possibly just as resource intensive as skyrim except that skyrim's map is MUCH larger and most of the maps are "so bland"...But using "clear skies shout" helps that...but not in dungeons. And having the exit at the end...think of it as an escape route {back door}.
@krawll if you think they're not difficult enough....try doin' them at a low level ...easy to get butt kicked in "some" dungeons. I also agree that they gave us a "sandbox" and my malkavian insanity detects a possible conspiracy or merchandising tactic probably the latter as there seems to be a few very "professional" type mods being planned i only hope that they can be all {some} "plugged-in" in the same play-through.
@stanisthelaw Have you maxed any mage skills? "conjuration" for an example...there is more to just being an arch-mage with "specialty" quest if above 90...maybe need 100...i thought it was a nice touch.
But having said that it's kinda sad that there's so many bugs...but nothing is perfect....yet {still hopeful}. tc.

Worship == NONE !...ya can't get the same disease twice... {too bad that some "almighty god" doesn't notice that ya never accept any blessing}........But do like Molag Bal ...hey ya get a house...could use an enchanter's table etc...must have a word with him.

As it is i rename the save folder and create a new one.
Apparently there is a console command that allows naming the save in game...so maybe that's the foot in the door for modders to work from. tc.

Am looking forward to the C K ...I have more confidence in the modders than bethesda in fixing this game....there are too many things wrong, BUGS and shallow if not totally annoying NPC's...forget writing a list of faults i'd be here all day & night and it still wouldn't be complete....if not for ENB anti stutter ...wouldn't even be playing it...as it is have quit to desktop more times than any game i've ever played...out of shear aggravation!.
As for immersion if bethesda's idea of immersion is looking for bug fixes, workarounds. reloads, tricks and console inputs...they succeeded :verymad:

showracemenu doesn't work for NPC's (at least as far as I can tell, I tried it with an NPC selected and it just showed the player race menu)
you can change an NPC's weight with 'setnpcweight <1-100>', I know that. I am looking for a way to see what the NPC's weight slider is set at by default or currently, so I can change it back to that value if need be.
Probably just have to wait for the creation kit...
If ya got the "race" menu... did you not also get the sub categories "body" "head" etc ?.
As for default...maybe need to start a new game {assuming the above works with the body}.tc.

Does anyone know where to see the current setting/value of npc weight?
I'd like to be able to change it back to whatever it was before I changed it but can't figure out how to see it's current value.

I don't know why but my follower, with a rating of 500+ armor rating, is getting one shotted by missles/melee/ and dragon bites. If one can help me with this, Id appreciate it. I feel like it might be associated with my NPC editing, but all I did was change her stats and appearance. Nothing more.

A wild guess....what level are you and what level is follower?....from what i've experienced if you are too low a level in the WRONG place ...you get ya butt kicked....but if you're at a higher level ...a fair battle ensues. tc.

For some reason, when I used the setav command to alter speedmult, it reset after I loaded a save. I don't know if this was just some weird thing that was only effecting a couple of my characters, but I had better luck using the forceav command. However, I do not know what the difference between these commands is, or if the use of forceav has any kinds of detrimental effects on gameplay.
setav = can + or - resets on reload.
modav = adds to what is, and can be changed with setav. Also remains on reload {best}.
forceav = cannot be reset {avoid as much as possible}. tc.

There is a "mass" setting via console... but only effects stagger.
Does anyone know what causes Barbas to be able to push the player ??. Is it a force or something ?
If Barbas can push the player ...leads me to thinking that the player should be able to do the same to other npc's and that there MUST be a setting/value that can be changed........any ideas????. tc.

Another cool idea would be to make it so only the player can actually recognize the presence, sort of a way of 'haunting' the killer. Obviously, it'd technically be visible to other NPCs, but make it so NPCs don't even interact with the ghost in any way, not even looking at them. This would give the feeling that since the player killed them, only the player can see them.
That's a cool idea; mechanically, it would probably require a new script to allow the actor to record and remember who killed them, but it should be possible. It would open the door for more hostile/poltergeist-y encounters, which would be great.
I like this idea...the ghosts of DB contracts {although they seem to re-appear}...hopefully someone will clean that up.
Perhaps the ghosts could be a different color {so as not to confuse} or so as to know that it was a "killing" that the player done and not something else like a quest ghost etc. tc.

Bump. Is anyone else interested in something like this? I haven't created any mods for Bethesda games before, but have a lot of experience making add-ons for other games and applications, so if anyone is interested, I may take a stab at this one, if no one else wants to tackle it.
It wouldn't hurt to have it ...as long as it could be switched off.....like as a vampire it would always be showing neg fire res...and ya do get a message that "vampire seduction is on" which i then know that neg fire res has increased ...guess i'm tryin' to say that ya can play it by "feel" and that some peeps like "not knowing" where others would.
In anycase where would you display it ?....possibly on the top right corner ?. tc.

NOTHING is perfect!.... It seems odd?...that Beowulf 2007-video, has a king Hrothgar {and a Dragon}...and Skyrim has High Hrothgar etc...Possibly giving Bethesda an "idea" for Skyrim...albeit a small piece...but still a connection.
You're thinking of the poem - the poetic lore of Valkyrie's, still the Valhalla-=-Sovngard connection remains. What I am suggesting is an Altered "ALTERED" being the appropriate word as is what the majority of fantasy themes do.
Try telling that to Zeuss :laugh: -RE:Pegasus==Mythological....Dragons==Mythological. Are Dragons stupid too???.
The horse wouldn't need to have wings...it's a "magical being".Not forgetting the mention of a "UNICORN" from an NPC. I'm guessing that you have never watched Xena warrior princess-the series...if you get the chance...I'd draw your attention to: Season 6, episodes 7,8,9....there are horses that fly...and guess what!...No Wings...they're magical.
But horses aside there is a Valkyrie that is somewhat of a "rogue" that doesn't comply to Odin's commands...and that's where a Valkyrie possibly could be incorporated into Skyrim EG: the PC is a descendant of a "rogue" Valkyrie's "love affair"-possibly a Nord...and has Valkyrie "genes or blood" or whatever that allows access to "flying horses"........Let me guess...You think that is ABSURD...how about being an Arch Mage, leader of Thieves Guild, Dark Brotherhood, The Companions...a Werewolf, a Vampire AND Dragon Born {probably left something out} Oh yeah a Thane!...with all these "titles" :rolleyes: ...what's another one?....

For a creative writer you seem to be somewhat disagreeable particularly towards flying horses ....Does that break TES lore?{at a guess it probably does} ...As for the Valkyrie - suppose that would too....But {Hypothetical here} what if you were to include these things as request from Bethesda, could you not see a way to make it "fit".....EG: Shadowmere is actually capable of flying because from what i gather that horse is pretty damned old considering that Lucian lachance remembers him/her and is possibly a "ghost type" horse... coming out from a black pool....Hell who knows maybe Shadowmere has been to Sovngard and spent time with some other "flying souls" and learned how to fly..............But like I said before i'll leave the "creativity" to the creative peeps!. tc.
