  1. Thanks for your input @363rdChemicalCompany, really appreciate it. I think I'm going to stick with your process, I can always update and upgrade later I suppose. But yeah it seems like that seems to be the stable choice for now, especially since there doesn't seem to be any major f4se dependant major mods coming, I think I'll keep my old load order of mods and stick it through with the 163. Glad there are others out there with the same mindset, just wanted to make sure I wasn't being a 'stuck in the past' kinda guy. But will use your suggestions if I do decide to make the switch. Again thanks for taking the time to bring me up to speed.
  2. I have decided to come back to fallout 4 after about a year or so since I last did a playthrough. I never updated the game when the new update came out as it was breaking everything and I left it be. However, I usually do a clean install whenever I come back to a game and did so this time as well, thus my fallout is updated to 1.10.984. I'm someone who usually plays pretty close to the 255 plugin limit with a overall modlist close to 350ish general mods. This includes all the usual f4se mods such as looksmenu and place and many other main staples. Should I downgrade to 1.10.163 and find the use the files on nexus for that? Or should I simply try to use all the updated files with the new update and see how it goes? As I said i've been out of the main f4 nexus for awhile and don't know if the issue is fixed and the new update is playable (let alone if all the mods are updated to it) or should i play it safe and go with the downgraded version of everything. I would appreciate any advice or news regarding this as I'd love to build my new playthrough but just don't know the status of all the mod pages and such.

I've been trying to make a mod that adds a bunch of new cityscapes to New Atlantis, which includes a bunch of new buildings from the vanilla game placed around the existing city, and I for the life of me can't find out how to generate LOD so that it is all visible in game. Am I missing something simple or is complicated like half of the new stuff in the new engine?
  4. If you guys remember the good ole' NCR from New Vegas, they had a lot of tents. Like a lot. I think it would be awesome if somebody could make new model of the tent and put it into 4. Have it as a settlement object but also at checkpoints and gunner bases. I don't know why but there is a small hole in my heart that only the tent can fill in fallout.
  5. As most of you know, the faction uniforms just plain old suck. The minutemen look like a bunch of middle school kids playing air-soft, the brotherhood have sweaters and compression suits, the railroad look like freaking Taliban fighters and the institute just want to be shot with their all white uniforms. If somebody could make something like Caesar's new legion or NCR rearmed but for fallout 4. And you guys know what i'm talking about, ammo case bandoleers, salvaged PA, backpacks, no goddamn yellow shirts, etc, etc. Not only I, but everybody who plays fallout 4 would appreciate it.

  7. Since fallout 4 has come out, there has been a boatload of settlement mods. All the mods that add new items are great, but I think we need some classic military building items. I really liked the Ncr's style in new vegas and I hope that somebody can bring that style to fallout 4. The main things we need are Military trucks, tents, military supply crates and other military oriented furniture. The cool things like the radios and tables from operation anchorage would be cool too. I can live without these things, but if you are a military inspired builder like me (especially with minutemen bases), and if you can mod (I can't), I would appreciate some of these things integrated into the game.
  8. Yes! I can't believe nobody has made this yet. I would be awesome to establish your own military or raider gang. It can maybe be something like making your base, recruiting and expanding your influence. Maybe it can even have unique things like patrols and random raids on other groups. Either way it would be awesome to claim the commonwealth with somebody else than the vanilla factions.
  9. I am no modder, or can I port armor, but I think it would be cool to have the classic combat armor as a standalone armor. I was semi disappointed in the new armor design as I prefer the full outfit type. So if somebody remade the old combat armor, I would much appreciate it.
  10. Since Bethesda has basically thrown the dlc idea out the window, this would be a great quest mod, have it somewhat like the New Vegas frontier mod with Helios Two.
  11. Most people probably have seen that there is little military apparel and accessories in the wealth. Now I can't make a mod to save my life, but I think it would be cool if somebody added stuff like more variants of army clothing and other things like holsters and rucksacks. Since the game is going off of 50's style equipment, I think that other things like radio backpacks and flack jackets would also fit nicely. I did like the concept of wasteland grunts, but the mod is obviously dead. So just putting the thought out there for any modders looking for a new template.
  12. The new marine armor that is in the new far harbor dlc is pretty cool. But in the preview for the armor there is a boot on the legs that gives it a more full body look, but when you put the armor on there is no boots for the legs.   13. I really like the army fatigues in the game, but I feel they lack variation. Maybe some sets with t-shirts or rolled sleeves. I figure this would add more looks to the gunners and settlers wearing the outfit.
  14. Can someone make the new Doom 4 armor? It looks pretty bad ass and I would love to run around the commonwealth wearing it.
