  1. I've following through on this proces, and after reaching the point that I disabled ALL the mods, the game process is still crashing. My two thoughts are: troubleshooting enb modifications crashing the game windowinstalling a separate FO4 instance in vanilla, and see if it launches successfully **** UPDATE: This Problem has been solved! **** I'd like to thank you ZeroAndOne. Your advice was a HUGE help. The only mod that was at fault, as I should have expected by this point, was the enb mod I installed first. It called for the use of hte Version 03-07 enb series, and was crashing the game. I tried using the v3-44 version isntead, and it was still doing it, so I just had to completely uninstall it. It was related to the dxgi.dll, or whatever it was, which I know because it was posting a .log file in reaction to the crashing. So, the enb series installation wasn't at fault, as much as it was the enb setup I overwrote it with called "DECENT PLUS 1.1.1-17631-1-1-1"
  2. Thanks for the response. I'll admit I was initially perplexed when I started reading your reply, but you've got some really good suggestions here. I haven't used the xEdit software since Oblivion, and I'd completely dismissed it from my mind. If that doesn't find some missing master or something, I'll try your other suggestion next and get back to you. I work 8PM -> Midnight tonight, so if I haven't responded by then, I either procrastinated so I can watch TV, and/or I had to go to work and will respond tomorrow. ;)
  3. **** UPDATE: This Problem has been solved! -- would appreciate it if a Moderator could mark the thread as such **** ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ First of all, my computer is an "Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop, Intel Core i7, GeForce GTX 1060, 17.3" Full HD, 16GB DDR4, 1TB HHD + 256GB SSD, Black, PH317-51-787B". So, the problem shouldn't be related to my Hardware capacity. That being said, I've installed almost all of the mods from this Compilation thread, in their order ( as they are in the order for thier load order): https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/3642835-ultimate-fallout-4-mod-compilation-100-working-mods-with-installation-instructions/ When I launch the game, it displays a black screen for 2 seconds, then CTDs. This Compilation is working for everyone else who's currently using it except me, so I'm hoping I can find some problem in the load order, or in the mod I'm using, manually replace necessary files (without messing up the order in which the mods have been installed), and get the program to launch successfully. Steps I've taken for Troubleshooting: ---Courtesy of my comment on that Thread--- "So, I installed all the mods here in this order, that hadn't been taken down or set to hidden, and when I launch the game, it CTDs after about 2 seconds of screen time. I tried installing a Configuration tool that: Disabled the Intro Video manually Disabled Godrays Enabled High CPU Priority Set my CPU Cores to the number of Physical Cores I have Ticked the Older Files Invalidated SettingIt still CTD'ed after 2 seconds exactly. I opened LOOT, and used it to find two places where an ESP was allegedly missing. One was legit, and it was because I used the DLC compatible variant where it needed hte main esp as well. The Other instance was the Nuclear Weather-TSCompat.esp depending on the old TrueStormsF04.esp, instead of the up-to-date ESM file. There's nothing I could do there, as the Compatibility file must then be old, so I disabled it. It STILL CTD'ed after all that. So I exported my old load order, then used LOOT to reorganize my Load Order. That isn't working either. So I'm hoping someone on this thread will have the necessary insight to guide me to a functioning video game." Load Orders: There is the Load Order I initially had, which is the one suggested by the Compilation, called Old Load Order. Then there is the current Load Order, post-LOOT and Dependency fixing. Its called ONew Load Order, because Explorer.exe sorting...I'll attach them. Hopefully someone has an idea for what specifically could be causing the program to not launch.

So I'm hoping someone on this thread will have the necessary insight to guide me to a functioning video game. So, I'll attach two Load Orders. The Old one, and the New one. The New one will probably be more relevant, but the Old one corresponds to the "Ultimate FO4 Guide" here:
  5. I got chewed out by some a**hole on a road, and it pissed me off. My horse is sprinting down this road in the middle of hte night, and this npc is travelling without a torch. So I bump into him doing, like, 45 miles per hour, and he shrieks and then screams at me to watch where I'm going, asking if I couldn't see him, sarcastically. No, I could not friggin' see him, because its ****ing MIDNIGHT, and he's travelling down a forested hollow in the boonies, without a torch to warn horse-riding travelers of his presence. Of course I couldn't see that dunder-headed moron!!! :verymad: So, yeah, this would be a good mod to have. Make those travelers carry torches, and have guards target the ones who don't.
  6. Where did you see this fast travel anywhere mod? I would love to have that personally. I feel it would make sense for my character to be able to mark a point on a map, and then travel to it automaticallly, just like he does for cities, or at the very least, be able to F.T. to predefined icons. Edit: Oh, I think you meant, "I saw a mod that make you [uN]able to fast travel anywhere, this is not what i mean because that break the immersion and the roleplay." Well, that kinda bums me out then. :3
  7. We need a mod that makes it where armor taken from someone, regardless of whether you killed them or not, is not marked as stolen. You can keep all the other flags for legitimate stealing. But I don't think the policy of "You keep what you kill" should be applicable in a medieval time period, when you are alone with a guy in a forest, or on a battlefield, or whatever, and no one else would be able to know whether or not something was stolen.
  8. Now that I think of it, its likely an issue with me running windows 10 that has caused the crashes. I logged onto my laptop and saw four pending notifications. They all said that fallout3.exe was a program that might not be compatible with my OS. So, I'll delete the mods, or move them out, and then validate and launch a clean install, and get back with this thread from there. Update: Got my game working. You were right on the money with GFWL. It was a compatibility issue, but the only problem is that my GFWL is having issues connecting even though my college network internet is running fine. So, the solution was to use this Intel HD graphics Bypass mode which worked for me. Using this has allowed me to start a new game without crashing, and teh cutscenes and such started playing without issues. So I'm gonna begin installing just the mods I know shouldn't break anything and go from there. I should respond on this thread again unless issues with mods creep up. Even then, it will be straight forward, since I'll know one of the mods doesn't work, and I can just check each one and then not use the culprit. Thanks for the help. :D http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/17209/?tab=2&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Ffallout3%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D17209&pUp=1
  9. I moved my steam directory to C:/Games... successfully and correctly and teh result was negligible. My game is still crashing. I have not hand-sorted my load order outside of LOOT's parameters (again) yet, however I had done this 2-3 times prior to moving the directory. For the sake of consideration, I feel it also bears mentioning that my computer's OS only has one User Account, which is the Administrator of Windows 10 x64, so my programs in Program Files and Program Files x64 are actually authorized with REad adn Write privileges. So I don't believe that is the issue, and I do not believe it has been an issue in all the previous times I've played and modded Bethesda games over hte last few years. ***Note: Modded is a general category that can be context-specific, and in this context, I don't actually make the mods, I just install them. :3 *** Long story short, I don't know that fixing my load order is going to fix anything, but I did remove Streetlights - Wastelander, and I have the main mod installed, but my game is still crashing. This leads me to believe that there is one or more mods that are problem mods, and I'm hoping that someone might be able to look at my load order and see where I might be messing up, both with the order and maybe what other mods might be known to cause problems.
  10. I have FOSE installed, and when I launch its exe and click New, it tries to load, then says something caused the game to stop working correctly. 11. So it's NOT my fault! :D Anyways, do you know where I can download an older version? I can only download the latest one form Nexus. The means to acquiring UKSP 2.1.1 can be found on this thread here: http://www.loverslab.com/topic/48936-i-made-the-mistake-of-updating-my-uskp-to-212/
  12. True to form, yet another minute detail is throwing a cog in the works of doing something simple and miniscule in the process of my grand over-arching plans of global world domination, starting first with this insignificant patch that is require to be able to dual-wield in a video game. I have installed Skyrim, unofficial skyrim patch, dawnguard, unofficial dawnguard patch, and every other dlc with its respective unofficial patch. I have then enabled in NMM, the game launcher, wrye bash, and they are even shown as such in LOOT. The skyproc patcher for this mod: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/34155/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D34155%26preview%3D&pUp=1 refuses to recognize that I have Unofficial Skyrim Patch.esp activated, because it is the Master for Unofficial Dawngaurd Patch.esp. Meanwhile every other mod that requires these on the PLANET knows that I have these installed and activated. >:(
  13. I figured this out. I had to pull it up in Creation Kit. So I loaded up Skyrim.esm, Update.esm, and TearofAbyss.esp. Then I set TearofAbyss.esp to Active File. Magic -> Enchantments -> _Enchantment_Timeless_Boots (or one of the other 3 enchantments that are applied to the Mod armor pieces) After double-clicking that window open, I saw that hte Worn Restrictions on these enchantments was set to None, which means they had been statically applied to armor pieces by the mod author, but had been set to be unable to be enchanted to anyone or anything at all. In order to resolve this I opened the dropdown list and set the Worn Restriction to MarterialsArmor, and did that for the other 3 enchantments. Upon loading up my game save after saving and exiting, I found I could suddenly use those enchantments on my leather armor. :)
  14. So I'm using this Tear of Abyss mod that adds a dungeon, some swords, a boss, and some cool-enough armour with really cool enchantments, imo. However, I disenchanted htem for hteir enchantments, and wanted to enchant my leather armour with them. And hte problem arises that the enchantments are apparently limited to what you can enchant them with. They are not allowed to be used with chest pieces, greaves, boots, gauntlets, helmets, swords, axes, maces, rings, amulets, bracers, robes, shirts, pants, shoes, or sweetrolls. So basically, I can't seem to use them at all. I remember last I had skyrim installed, someone had mentioned a mod that allowed you to use enchantments from mods on anything you wanted, but I can't remember the name of hte mod, and Google is being literally no hep at all.
  15. I tried your suggestion, and unfortunately the game still locked up on the loading screen. I did get some quests completed, but then it did its thing...
  16. I'm using Mod Organizer as my do-it-all mod handling program. Frankly, I think it is a godsend as it has centralized so many things that have to be taken care of into one, and I think it does it well. The only thing I cannot do, not even with Wrye Flash, is use a bashed patch to help, but that's Wrye Flash, and Mod Organizer is working well otherwise. However, my game will crash every couple of minutes sometimes when I fast travel, or move between worldspaces. It doesn't do it while traveling, fighting, talking, or anything else. The game simply freezes on the loading screen sometimes, and it won't recover thereafter. I have to task kill the process. I figured I'd post my load order here as it stands in the plugins list of Mod Organizer after I ran LOOT and see what others see. The following was copied and pasted here from the Loadorder.txt in my profile Default: # This file was automatically generated by Mod Organizer. 17. I would like to report that once I reinstall Oblivion, I may be able to label this thread as resolved. Last week my hard drive started failing, requiring me to buy a new one. I have bought a Solid State Drive with twice the space, mb cache, and speed, and I now have my old operating system and a second one installed. I've upgraded to a 2 terabyte hard drive this time. After I reinstall Oblivion+mods, if I find the game runs better than ever, then I will know my hard drive's failing was causing it to freeze up the whole operating system due to its inability to read the hard drive effectively. That would explain a lot. My hard drive was a few years old, after all.
  18. My problem sounds A LOT like this guy's problem was: http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/615803-the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim/62214938 The only differences are the quest involved, and that his problem occurred in Skyrim instead of Oblivion. I did pick up a quest when I walked to the center of the Imperial camp around the tower, I might need to figure out the quest ID and end that quest in the console or something to solve this... Edit: THERE IS A GOD!!!! :D I found this: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/70214-screen-shimmer-n-shake/
  19. About 6 hours ago, I encountered an imperial tower just South and West of the Imperial City...ish. When I got there, some imperial guards yelled "Take Cover!" and every 3 or 4 seconds, the tower would let off a fireball that would cause an earthquake blur-like effect where the whole world appeared to shake. I quickly left because "I didn't have enough imperial experience". However, my character has been subject to that visual effect of hte whole world shaking and blurring, and my character recoiling every 3-4 seconds since then. I believe this tower is part of "Under Siege of the Dragon: Fort Akatosh Redux" because it is an imperial faction mod, and is the only one to add towers forts and a faction system all within one mod that pertains to the imperial legion. I remember that this happened to me years ago as well, and there was a thread for this same issue, but I can not find such a thread. Does anyone know how to make this visual effect for this mod stop? Its making my gameplay unplayable. I would even be happy if someone could remember or dig up the other thread about this.
  20. First of all, I have uninstalled and removed the mods, and started a new game, and the imperial legion are wearning their armours properly at this time. I also, installed an arena ring mod to allow me to wear whatever armour I might have wanted, but I think this was a mistake, and I will remove that. Not to mention that I also installed a Brutal Arena mod that should not have conflicted, as it creates a new arena in a new worldspace altogether. Now, this is my current load order: You will notice the eigth mod from the bottom is Punk Stevo's Brutal Underground Arena mod I just mentioned. I deactivated it when I uninstalled the WAC mods to make sure it wasn't that mod. I think that one or more mods changed the Imperial Armour mod's equipment slot, or somehow accidently or purposely set the mod to be a full suit armour piece, which is why I couldn't wear the boots or leggings or anything else in the game. My problem arose in thefact that NONE of the imperial legion were wearing their cuirasses when WAC mods and that Brutal Underground were installed and activated. I would like to be able to have WAC mods installed because, from what I saw, they looked pretty cool, and I liked the Roman Imperial Armour look he went for, but I just want the cuirass to work how I think it is supposed to. Do you think you could tell me if I may have done something wrong with WAC, or if its supposed to be that way, or if there is a certain mod I need to not have, or an incompatibility I have caused?
  21. Yeah, I went ahead and deleted those ESPs. To my knowledge, there may still be lag a bit, but I've not gotten to play it extensively as I had work yesterday and today from 7 am to 4 pm. i did play it recently though and it looks somewhat improved. I may still remove that key ring mod just in case, and work with it off and on. Part of my problem with BOSS is that I used the archive instead of hte installer, and slowly migrated its files the first time into the proper folder directory, as at first I jut moved it itno the Oblivion folder, then moved it to common, and then removed it entirely, then used the Installer to Common and had it installed right htat time. So thats' part of why BOSS wouldn't sort at all. :3
  22. So, I removed BOSS entirely, and used the Installer to install it to the default location of Common\Boss in my Steamapps folder. The Load Order updated from: to the new and (improved?) load order:
  23. Until I find that thread, I went and used this link's recommendationgs for a load order: http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Load_order_recommendations to produce this load order: Active Mod Files: I rearranged that all by hand. ._. Took me. Hours. Especially since I finally finished doing that load order in Nexus Mod Manager, and it didn't carry the load order over to Wrye Bash, so I did it all over again in Wrye Bash, because I figured that Wrye Bash had a higher setting priority to the game than nexus mod manager. Also, after work today, I might see about which mods could be causing a game crash if my game continues to have lagging issues when I have hardware that should be able to run Oblivion at max settings. Such as that Key ring mod. I heard that has been known to cause crashes.
