Rayman surely deserves a mention here... before it was desicrated with that stupid nintendo rabbid crap.
One of the best platformer series ever.... reduced to brushing a rabbit with downsyndromes teath.

I exercise properly for one hour a day, four days a week, (with pull up bar/ handstand pres sups and other gymnastic styled stuff), do 30 minutes or so of stretching on Wednesday (off day) and usually go Bouldering/ climbing indoors or outdoors on the weekend for a few hours.

It can be!
But results are nice:)

Hi
I'm pretty nerdy... as I'm sure allot of us here are!
The stereotype for a nerd is that thin pale guy who can't do a push up...
Just curious about how much exercise everyone here does, and what sort?
To get things rolling... I do about 6-7 a week...

Shoot regularly, but don't have a firearms license or anything... most dangerous thing I own is a slingshot (a beast of a sling shot, not some kiddies toy, it can crack a human skull (did some tests with coconuts and animal skulls)

NERD RAGE!!!!

Logitech Razor G9x (best mouse I'v ever used... love it)
Skyrim's gonna be a bit weird for me, I'm hoping I can have a couple of on the set pre-sets, as when duel wielding, I want left to swing left sword, right to swing right, however when I have a sword and shield, I want right button to block, left to swing,
Most the time I'm going to be wielding either a bow, or a dagger/ magic combo- so some customization will be necessary!
For the other buttons...
Mouse wheel can change magic me thinks, if such a thing is possible, scrolling through em would be great, up and down buttons on side will be the action and sneak button.
A click off the wheel will open up my inventory.

Individual sliders would be great!
I'd set both health meters LOW!
Tactical combat ftw!

I would hate a Elder Scrolls MMO.
It wouldn't have a hope in hell against WoW or Guild Wars 2 (keen for that!)
TES is all about freedom, and nicking stuff/ killing bartenders for pumpkins.
Filling it with vendors and respawning goblins in a field, would destroy the series.

This quirkiness in AI wouldn't be too hard to avoid either, simply adding something to the code about `if dragon is near and in combat with either the player, or a member of guards faction ignore crimes` but it could lead to allot of exploitation (getting dragon to chase you in to town... ransack the place and be off!) So I can see why this sort of thing happens...

Yeah, with FPS games I always end up modding them so that a double tap to center mass with a pistol will kill an enemy, and myself.
Really gets your reactions up!
(Great fun in the rainbow six games!)
Might end up doing something similar with Skyrim!
(And of course something to make every hit decapitate, and 1000% more blood, for feces and giggles. )

I like to create myself, I was going to go with Dumner (grumpy git) but now I'm leaning towards bosmer, since they don't look as sissy as previously (BEARDS!)
And I can get my body kind of and face (thin face and body... climbing nut)
And the awesome stealth racial are great!

No, I'v seen some leaked footage of a guy playing from 1 (the `4 hour` one... i skipped all the potential spoilers, and just watched the bleak fall's barrow run- and he was happily chopping away with a clay more at level 2, felling enemy's in one or 2 hits, when he `sniped` the bandit near the entrance, that took 2 shots though, wit ha 2x damage multiplier (the enemy had about 10% health remaining)

Hi
In all the gameplay videos with combat in, it apears that weapons now do significantly more damage in skyrim, than say oblivion- where a fight would generally be me standing right infront of the enemy, hammering the left mouse button!
With a one handed sword, 3 hits and the enemy is down, with a claymore or other 2 hander, it seems 1 shots are a common ocurance (all this footage was of a lvl 2 in bleak fall's barrow)
I'm pretty exited about this, as I like being able to fell people in just a couple of hits (archery looks really fun!)

I loved the lock picking in oblivion!
Going by screens i'v seen though, the way you actually do it is going to be allot more like FO3, I'm hoping I can attempt any lock though, I want freedom, as soon as I enter the game.

You're walking through a dense forest on a clear morning, the peaks of the mountains shrouded in mist in the distance, when a lone goblin catches your eye.
You enter stealth, and move to hide behind a tree, drawing your bow.
The goblin has it's back turned to you, you draw back your bow, and as you creep towards it, about to let off the shot...[APPLICATION HAS CRASHED]....
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Even as a stealth character, you will have good one armed skills etc, and decent crit chance.
So get in there and atack quickly when it lands!
-
I want a bleed effect for daggers (rupture!)
Barbed arrows, bleed once again, more initial damage too.
I'd LOVE a perk that allowed you to run a couple of m up a wall to reach high places, but since they seem intent on gimping all acrobatics, don't think I'll ever see that...
Maybe if the next game in the series is in Valenwood, we'll get allot more climbing and archery posibilities!

I'ts RECOMENDED is a quad core, so yes.
I want it to take FULL advantage of my i7.... games never take it above 10%, can't it just take another 70% or so?
-
The combat, and the new world to explore.
I'm hoping for better loot etc too...
I like to horde big shiny unique swords!
-
It will work like it does in WoW or other similar games I would imagine- in combat, it's not going to regen, however when you leave combat it's going to recover slowly.
I quite like this, as it will stop be getting deep in to a dungeon, killing a baddie, then having to face off against a big enemy with no health, and having to re-run the entire dungeon

I'v got loads of work to do over the next week, so I'm going to be fairly occupied until the fateful day!
