  1. I've done nothing other than download and install via MO. Checking the installation path, it matches the above mentioned paths exactly. There is another comment on the mod page that mentions this problem. I've checked OBIS LOOT, PerMa and their masters with TES5edit for conflicts. None of OBIS's files touch the amulet. Perkus Maximus, does, and makes the changes I've mentioned above. It doesn't do anything to the paths. Could the addition of the keyword "ClothingNecklace" affect the mesh? Thanks for your help! Edit: could it be a race issue? I am using a custom race...

I downloaded this awesome mesh replacer for the necromancer amulet http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/63607/[1] ? only to find (first in the comments, then verified in-game) that it doesn't replace the mesh for the necromancer amulet, but does change the mesh for OBIS LOOT's cameo amulet. both the original necromancer amulet and the cameo amulet use the same mesh, \armors\amuletsandrings\necromancer\necromancergo.nif. Any idea what's going on here? Why haven't both the amulets changed? I use MO, and have PerMa, but it only changes the necromancer amulet's "Full - name," adds the keyword "clothing jewelry" and changes the enchantment.
  3. Did you ever figure it out? I've had this issue through my entire play through. It's insanely irritating. I CTD if I reload a save in-game after death. If I then restart skyrim and load the safe, no problem. I've been troubleshooting and searching forever....

  6. just wanted to chime in. I get reproducible CTDs and freezes upon entering exterior world cells, everywhere, randomly. Also, I get Freezes in combat from time to time. Skyrim is hugely complex, especially when you add mods on top of mods. With my latest series of CTDS/freezes I tried a million things. they didn't work. Then I got the bright Idea to dismiss 2 of my 3 followers. Haven't been able to reproduce the Crashes since, even after riding/running all over the map. I had AFT and CH installed and my followers had horses. Last time I had crashes I disabled Dynamic Loot and that fixed it. I have since re-enabled it with no more problems so far... Before that, changing my audio device's format solved the issue. I've had to reorder my load list (even after BOSS) to fix a hiccup.. I've disabled ENB to get through a rough patch. In my opinion, and from my experience, when you get stuck in a situation where the game is unstable, you must systematically determine the cause of the instability, move past it with the fix in place, and then later on add your previous mods/configuration back in and see if you've gotten past the breaking point. It could be that the engine is just overwhelmed, or your system is too taxed, or that particular cell has objects from two conflicting mods, or you killed a bear cub (3 weeks ago with a modded arrow from a 45 feet away while you were wearing an enchanted helm and your follower was sleeping and now the bear's brother is seeking revenge with a group of spriggans that weren't able to spawn... lol, ya know? it's just a weird game.) There just isn't a magic fix, not one thing that will work for all CTDs, even if they are in the same location with the same set of general circumstances between two installs.. I've had to meet every situation with the same systematic process of disable/reload, tweak/reload, try/reload... until it works and I get past it. The game is just too complicated. That's why it's so great. just my two cents.
  7. maybe.. you smell? lol. sorry, couldn't resist... Odd problem indeed, all NPCs? followers/jarls/vendors? what about during quests? do you get a context menu at all?
  8. Is there a way (through the console perhaps?) to tell which 'region' I need to be looking at? Let's say I'm at 'Gjukar's Monument' and I freeze every time I try to leave that cell (in any direction). What esp would I be looking for? in another example, I'm walking over the bridge just east of red tower redoubt, freeze or CTD... It doesn't happen when I go north instead of east in that example. do those areas have their own ESPs, and if they do, is the problem with those or the ones I'm trying to enter? lately these have been happening on the way to meet the stormcloacks for a civil war mission (I do have CWO installed), but I've had it happen plenty of other times when I'm not actively pursuing a quest. I do get an error in my papyrus logs frequently that says something to the effect of "unable to cast a spell in an unloaded cell". this happens even when I'm not using magic, I assume it's a mod's script or something similar. I have the problem in a lot of cells, freezes or CTDs upon entering exterior world space cells, never really in cities. I want you to know that your work has not gone unnoticed! I will be trying this when I get home today, hope it works, I'm dyin here! Thanks!
