  1. I played the first Witcher game for a long time, and wasn't sure what to expect when I imported my save. It ended up being gimped armor, a few runes and maybe some orens. I understand that the talents gained were done away with because they created a new combat system, but having a completely diminished Geralt annoys me. Even if I hadn't played the first one, why does he suffer the Metroid effect? To wit, this is the mod that I would like to see. I think Geralt should start with six points that have to be distributed in the training tree. It makes no sense that he is tabula rasa, especially since the amnesia is (ostensibly) not as prominent in this game. This way, you could immediately start developing Geralt in whatever direction you want and can make him halfway complete with this new tree or some other mixture as is the player's desire. It would also ensure balance that might not be available if you gave him seven points to begin with to allocate wherever you want. I don't know how long such a mod would take to make, but I'm playing this at a friend's house. All the same, if it's possible I could play with this mod, I would start over even though I don't have a lot of time available. Hope you guys think the suggestion has merit.
  2. I'm new to the forums, but I wanted to join so that I could make suggestions about mods I'd like to see. This is definitely one that I'd like. Right now, I'm waiting for my friend to get back before downloading anything (playing this at his house), so I might end up using the weightless mod just because it's expedient. Nonetheless, this is the preferable solution for me as well. I'm always exceeding the weight limit because I'm not comfortable selling off certain things. I know a packrat is the opposite mentality for this game, but I'm a hoarder. Anyway, throwing my two cents in. This would be cool.
