My characters won't use Weapons

It currently is set to brave when he ran away. I also don't understand why, when they have weapons, are set to agressive and brave, why they don't attack. -

My characters won't use Weapons

I have created two characters since I started using the G.E.C.K. and have given them both weapons. And even though I set both their attitudes to agressive, they just run away with no weapons in hand instead of fighting with them. The weapons that they are trying to use are custom weapons (only modified, not made from scratch). Could that have something to do with it? -
Does anyone know of a program that lets you create 3D models that you can use to make new creatures/armors. Also does anyone know of a tutorial that shows you how to use these programs?

Fallout New Vegas GECK Tutorial
Blackboltz replied to Korodic's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Discussion
When you click and drag an object on a screen it may appear huge (because it is so close to your camera/view of the world/cell) Or you may have accidentally held down the "s" key (which alters the scale of the object which in-turn increases the size of it. You can adjust the size of the couch by Either (A) holding down the S key and moving your mouse, or (B) double click the object and then edit the scale under the "3D Data" tab. I got the scale fixed but it still appears under the house and I have no way to get it above and press F Then what you need to do is hold down the "z" key and move your mouse to adjust the Z-axis (up and down). This is also a 3D Data value which can be located at the object's "3D Data" tab in the reference window for the couch. :) I tried that. But no matter how high I move it it always appears under the house. The couch is never visible inside the house, only outside, where the is nothing. ohhh. I know why. Give me a second, I will edit this post with the answer. I didn't go over this yet, and I NEED to address it in a prelude tutorial to the geck. EDIT: "What you have to do is find your GECKCustom.ini and change bUseMultibounds=1 to bUseMultibounds=0" If you don't know where you geckcustom.ini is, it should be located at "C:\Users\%username%\Documents\My games\FalloutNV\geckcustom.ini" Copy and paste that straight into your folder browser ;) I just did and I still can't put ir inside the house. Its still below. No matter how far I move it up. -

Fallout New Vegas GECK Tutorial
Blackboltz replied to Korodic's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Discussion
I need some help on how to place the couch. When I drag it into the house, it appears as HUGE and beneath the house. And nothing I do seems to make it placeable in the house. Any advice on how to do this? But besides that your videos have gotten me started on modding. -
Wow...i've never been given that link before and thats the video I am currently watching. Although I can't get the couch right.

I got the GECK working and am reading the bethesda tutorial. But its a tutorial of how to mod fallout 3, so the names of the cells are majorly confusing me. Does anyone know of a link to a new vegas specific tutorial?

NVSE w/ Latest patch not working?
Blackboltz replied to rekhytz's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Mod Troubleshooting
Yeah I have the exact same problem. I can still play the game from steam but can't launch it from FOMM. -
Hi, I am running some mod that does random things and I don't know what it does or what mod it is. Examples of some of the things it has done: Made Easy pete in front of goodsprings white Made Joe Cobb white Made enemies much stronger Made repairing one item with another make the condition not go up nearly as much Make Ringo look like he is wearing make-up Anyone have any clue what mod would do this? I would like to disable it but I have no idea which of my mods would be causing it. As far as I know I don't have any texture mods running.

How do I actually add the new NVSE?

G.E.C.K. problem
Blackboltz replied to Blackboltz's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Mod Troubleshooting
Yeah I know its legal cuz I bought it off of a top-rated seller from E-bay. I know I have the right G.E.C.K. because I only installed it 5 days ago. Not sure whats going wrong. You could still have the older version of GECK as the Bethsoft site is rather wonky in this regard. If you can open the GECK, hit Help>About and make sure it is not v1.1. If it says 1.3.0.452 then you have the correct one. If it's still v1.1, use this link to get the correct version. I just downloaded version 1.4 http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/403992-geck-v14-link/ and its still not working. Do I have to let it sit in the folder or something? -

Windows 7. I don't have the highest of everything computer tech stuff but I have relatively good computer tech. And yes I have the 1.3 version. -
Not entirely sure this is the right forum but I have a problem with the GECK. Everything is in the right folder and it starts up but then when I click on anything in the GECK is says "Garden of Eden Creation Kit has stopped working". Can anyone help.
-
Well i've had it loaded for at least 2hrs and its not a slow machine.
-
OK I was able to get everything in the right folder and the G.E.C.K. opens. But whenever I click on something in it, anything, it says the Garden of Eden Creation Kit has stopped working. Any solutions?
