  1. Trying this right now! Hope it works! :DD EDIT: IT WORKED! I can't believe it. Crazy how one little bit in the code makes all the difference. :D So, the steps are: 1) Get a hex editor. I recommend XVI32. 2) Open up your "problem" Skyrim save in the hex editor. 3) Search for text string "dlc1playervampirechangescript". 4) Change the "1" in that text to a "2". 5) Save the file. 6) Enjoy Dawnguard in first person. :) Thanks so much, GregP, for following up on this and digging for an answer. And thanks to DarkenDE for the fix.
  2. The weird thing is, I went WAY back on my werewolf character (I keep all of my saves), and it still does it. I can't find a save that doesn't do it. :\
  3. I'm thinking it has something to do with already being a vampire/ werewolf when starting Dawnguard. I get kicked to third person with my werewolf character, but NOT my character that is neither a werewolf nor a vampire. I've had both of these characters since before Dawnguard.
  4. Hey, first-time poster on the forums, but I just had to post to give a big thanks to tortured Tomato for the guide and seaofsorrow for the fix that actually worked for me. I have the k-lite codecs and MAD filter, and Fraunhofer was disabled. Originally, this did nothing to stop the stuttering. However, I unregistered MAD, re-unpacked it, put the register bat and .ax in SYSWOW64, registered it through command prompt, disabled Fraunhofer, and voila! No stuttering! :D Thank you! EDIT: I have Win 7 64-bit, btw. EDIT #2: Oh, and here's the link to seaofsorrow's post for other newcomers that this might help: 88
