Well only thing now is to hope that someone can make the mod, if someone does by the way, I'll make sure your mentioned in its creation. how about tossing in composite bows to the mix? there really is to few bows in game and the ones that is there feel wrong Can you show me a picture of what you're thinking? IMPORTANT NOTE Thanks to a suggestion from user frakle I decided to not have the mod as a replacer and instead add anew Longbow and re-name the old one a short bow. Thanks to frakle for the suggestion. If you know anything about the English Longbow (or Warbow) you know that its well, long, very long. The one we get in Skyrim is really quite short compared to the real thing. I'm an enthusiast archer so I like using the wooden bows in Skyrim and can't stand the vanilla longbow! Call me picky but I think it needs to go. So this is a mod request for a proper Longbow to be added, not only a re-texture but some proper arrows to match, and it being a Longbow it would have to be really powerful. Two to three hits maximum for a kill. If you wanted to go all the way you could re-do the sounds as well, the bows don't sound natural if you know what a real bow sounds like. If the damage were do be jacked up it would have to be for the longbow, the character in the pictures is only a Rangers apprentice, so he starts with a recurve bow. What I really want is a full proper mod, not a re texture the whole outfit, it might take some work but would be awesome if done right. Also with the archery I think some changes could be added to make it better like perhaps a slight auto aim feature to makes it feel like you were a great shoot, a Ranger, I mean let's face it Skyrim has terrible archery, the arrows are slow and the damage is unrealistic. So for this mod to be good (if it gets made) it might take a bit of effort. Although if someone where to makes mod with the creation kit I think a lot of people would like it. Thanks for the reply.

Greeting fellow gamers, I'm quite a reader of fantasy novels (and video games of course) and one of my favourite book series is John Flanagan's Rangers Apprentice, if you've read the book you already now about the uncanny skill of Rangers if not then read this: The Ranger Corps was founded during King Herbert's reign. King Herbert is also known as the founder of modern Araluan. The Ranger Corps was reformed by Halt and Crowley after Halt left Hibernia, to provide a service to the King. They are considered an elite intelligence and reconnaissance force. There are 50 rangers, one for each fief. A few of the most notable rangers are Halt of Northern Redmont fief, Gilan, Commandant Crowley, and Will Treaty of Southern Redmont. Rangers wear a grey-green camoflagued cloak. They are all best known for the long bows they carry and twenty-four arrows in their quiver plus an extra twelve on their saddlebag. They also wield a throwing knife,a heavy bladed saxe knife, and two brass bars with knobs on the ends called strikers. Rangers are incredibly stealthy and many believe that they practice dark arts. So basically Rangers are the law of Aruelen the setting of the books, Rangers where green and grey mottled cloaks and are trained to be unseen movers, they are master archers and can shoot with uncanny speed and accuracy. They also carry two knives, a heavy bladed saxe knife and a throwing knife, they can use both knifes together to parry incoming blows from swords. I think some mods for Skyrim based on Rangers Apprentice would be great, a Ranger Cloak and outfit would look amazing, some archery mods would be cool to. Bow damage could be made realistic ect. So I ask anyone who likes the idea of this could make some mods, for reference I've included some pictures that are the cover art of the books so any moder can get an idea of the ranger cloak and knifes.
