  1. Ok - So I've created a simple mod using the CK with a quest to kill a bandit in a cave and loot an object from the bandit. I see that scripts were created under \data\scripts folder. I see that I can "Create Archive" in CK and files are packed. I don't know where they are packed and if tha is for Steam only? I want to upload my mod to Nexus using 7z file. I suppose I could include the scripts in my zip file, but I'm not sure that is the best practice or right thing to do? I think I'm missing something simple. Can anyone offer some advice as I don't want to upload something that can cause issues for others.

So, here is what you do.

Copy the scripts that you have and place them in a temporary folder. Then copy the script's "front", which contains the compiled information about the script. Copy that into the same temporary folder. Now in the temporary folder, created a folder called "source". Make a new folder called "scripts". Place the actual script in that. Copy "source" and your script's "front" and put them into "scripts". Now copy your esp and place it the temporary folder which contains "scripts". Make a new folder, call it "data". Move "scripts" and your esp into "data". Right click "data" and go to "send to". Hover over "send to" and you will see one of the options is "compressed folder". Click on that option. Now name the folder whatever you want, preferably the name of your mod. Congratulations, you just made an archive! Now you can post this to the Skyrm Nexus or Steam Workshop or where ever you want to post your mod.

Ok, this helps a lot! I see that I am mimicking what’s in the default game folder. I need clarification on what exactly my “front” file is. (I’m a newbie and having a blast so bear with me). I have 2 scripts which I know I created and a 4th with starts with QF_Mymod_ID.pex is this the “front” or am I way off? This looks like the main mod quest file. Needing that bit of clarification, this is how I think my folders should look that I will compress. How’d I do?

    \Data\MYMOD.esp

    \Data\Scripts\QF_MYMOD_MODID.pex

    \Data\Scripts\Source\MYMODScript1.pex

    \Data\Scripts\Source\MYMODScript2.pex

Thanks so much for the reply!!

So the "front" is the .pex file. The actual text (or code) is the .psc file. The .psc is in the "source" folder while the .pex and the "source" folder are in the "scripts" folder. Hope this helps.

  2. Hello!

I am, as you are probably aware, making an expansion called Artaeum- History Reborn. It is going very well, but I need some new armors for the Psiijic Guards. I was hoping someone could morph the Psiijic Robes and something like the steel armor together to get a nice effect. If you could do this for me, I would be very grateful and I would credit you in my mod.

  4. NOTICE I need an advanced scripter's help with a few blocks and an advanced animater's help.

I have a gun mod that is pretty epic. I will release it soon if I get some author's approval. I am stuck on on block of script and some animations.

ANIMATOR'S HELP: If you are willing, you would need to make an animation of the character if 1st and 3rd person changing a magazine.

I will send you the gun I am working on and then you can try :).

SCRIPTER'S HELP: I am a scripter myself, and I am pretty good. But I need help with one block, how can I make it so I can only equip 4 types of ammo for my gun?

So what's in it for you? You get to help make a gun!!! sweet!! you will be mention in the credits as an author and creator of this mod.

If you are willing to help, post on this forums topic OR send me an email at [email protected]. I would prefer email.

  5. I would love it if someone were to take all of the continents of Tamriel and mash it into one mod. Like take the already out SsVvM, Elsweyr, Valenwood, and Skyrim and put it al ltogether. Then the creator could make Highrock, Summerset Isle, Hammerfell and Orsinium and put it with that. If anyone could make this, I would be stunned.
  6. Hey, I need someone to help me with an angel's mod.

I need a sword mesh like the angel killing sword/knife in Supernatural. I also need it to be scripted so that it instantly kills an angel (the race) in my mod. If you are interested in helping, send me an e-mail. My email is [email protected]. Thanks :)
