  1. The actual figure for the probability of life exactly like us to form somewhere else is (according to Prof. Brian Cox) 10^-81. And if there are an infinite number of universes, as the Multiverse theory suggests, there is a universe for every slight change in anything. For example, it may take me another second to type this in another universe.
  2. I've heard that theory, yes, but how do we have so many variations of life-forms on Earth in that case?
  3. Good point. And really, most of science is theoretical. Theoretical with very large amounts of proof, but theoretical nonetheless.
  4. That does make sense, but in that case how do you explain the Big Bang?
  5. Time is simply another dimension, like height or width or depth. It's the fourth we know definitely exists, as well as gravity/electromagnetism (the 5th).
  6. It is theoretically possible to travel forwards in time by going at light-speed due to time dilation, what is thought to be impossible right now is backwards time travel. And yes, travelling faster than light may be possible due to the information from CERN.
  7. We can't possibly be alone. Actually, that's exaggerating, there is a very small chance that we are alone. But with all the planets in the Multiverse, there will almost certainly be other life. As people have said before, other bodies in our solar system could support life. And if chemosynthetic bacteria can develop, what's to stop chemosynthetic life-forms of more advanced nature developing?
  8. Forgive me if this is a little off-topic, but is this the same Obsidian Entertainment that made Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II:The Sith Lords?
  9. I saw a mod that adds Jack Sparrow's clothing here a few weeks ago, but now I can't seem to find it. Please can someone help?
  10. I have a problem with screenshots. I can take them fine, and find them without problem, but when I load them up in Paint, they appear black-and-white with lines going across, and at an angle leaning to the left. The res is the same as my monitor's, I've disabled AA, and I'm running through OBSE. Help please?
  11. Any Elder Scrolls RPs starting up, I'd love to join in.
  12. I agree. I tried using it as well, it really wasn't good.
  13. Here's my character: Introducing Hephaestus Androcus: Age: 19 Gender: Male Personality: Short-tempered but friendly Race: Imperial Class: Warrior, but able to perform more stealthy operations. Also trained in the basics of magic, most skillful with Destruction Hair colour: Black Eye colour: Blue Equipment of choice: A full set of Ebony with longsword for open combat, leather with ebony dagger for stealth Misc. info: Named Hephaestus after the Roman god of fire due to his surprising skill with fire magic for a warrior; born in Kvatch and tought to fight because his father was a mid-ranking Fighter's Guild member. He talks his way out of unnecessary combat most of the time, although has no qualms about drawing sword or conjuring flame when required. Fought the forces of Oblivion when they first invaded the town, but soon had to retreat when the Guard was overwhelmed. Came to the Imperial City for safety, and started recruiting warriors to form a civilian militia against the Daedric hordes. However, when they tried to create a structured force, the conflicts between the various members caused it to dissolve. Hephaestus then bought a horse and started patrolling the major roads, fighting any passing Daedra. Now, in the time of the Ayleid Crisis, he scouts ruins and ensures that they do not serve as gates on the Imperial Frontier.
