  1. Hello, I haven't posted anything here in a while but I wanted to put my first mod up -- it's a resource for anyone who wants to use it. It's the M56 Smartgun from Aliens. I posted a Maya Binary (.mb) and a .fbx file in the source .zip folder. If anyone wants it or to take a look at it, I'll drop a link here https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/35916
  2. I had some life things crop up that prevented me from working on the mod further for the time being. I still want to UV Wrap and texture it, but my knowledge is limited, so I often feel like I'm fumbling around in the dark. If someone could help me with implementation once that's done, I'd really appreciate it.
  3. I'm instead getting "Login Error: Nexus server error! This is a server issue, try again after a few minutes." It's been a couple of hours.

  7. That's the M56 Smartgun from Aliens. It's a combination of a steadycam rig, kawasaki gpz-750 motorcycle parts, and an MG42.
  8. Well, uhh, I may have time to make the pulse rifle after I make this guy. I've still got some big components to make for it and then it's on to the detail work. I'd rather make the weapon from scratch and use Quixel to do proper PBR textures than see a port of a lower-resolution, lower-poly model. http://i.imgur.com/MbSMVkp.png

Hey there, so I've recently started making the M56A2 Smartgun from Aliens, and would like some advice on resources as to where I should look to make sure that the ejection port is in the right location, that the player animations work correctly with the weapon, and so on and so forth. I'll be using Quixel 3DO to do the texturing, and this is primarily a learning project for me, so any mistakes are probably due to inexperience with the toolset. As I continue to work on it, I learn more about modeling (since I've primarily been relegated to FX work and level design for other projects that I've worked on before. I'm trying my best to make it as accurate to the source material as humanly possible. There are things that I know I need to adjust/work on and improve, but that's a given. I started working on this last week.   13. Looks good so far. Assuming the grip is WIP? Give me a heads up if you want a better reference image. I can make time to draw a new iteration of it.
