You're in luck my friend! I posted this same thing on the official forums, and a very awesome person replied with this; "Go into catalyst and into 3d application settings and click defaults then hit apply at the bottom then load the game up and try it and see if that helps,several of us had same problem and that fixed it." I did it, didn't think it would work, but it did, perfectly. Hope this helps you too!

As the title says, I got Skyrim today, and everything seems to work perfectly fine, except only low res textures are ever used. No matter what my settings are, even if they're on ultra, the textures will be low. I've updated my drivers, for my AMD 6970, and I've had no trouble like this with anything previously. I've tried reinstalling, doesn't work, tried running it with many different combinations of settings, resolution and aspect ratio. Funnily enough however, the one high res texture that actually works, is hands. Hands on ultra are high res, and just past the wrist they turn into the tan blob of low res. As I said, my system is fully capable of running ultra, so it's not the system. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
