So, I am coming back to this game since i left it around 2009, and i could use some assistance. I am looking for the mods to make this game look the best it can possibly look. This includes UI, terrain, models, shaders,etc. the more realistic the better. that said, I also will be playing with a gamepad(wired xbone controller atm) due to physical reasons, since its much easier on me. (which rules out mods requiring lots of keyboard input) So, if i could be directed to some top choices in regards to the above that would be great. Assume and treat this request as if I know nothing about which mods do what for oblivion.

the bethseda support team was useless. the response i got from the rep was: "we do not support the creation kit at this time", and then they forwarded me a link to the creation kit wiki.. there was also nothing on the bethnet forums about it either (and they are soon about to be deleted anyways according to the site). ive also uninstalled and reinstalled the launcher too, and it didn't change anything.

been trying to download the fallout 4 creation kit from the bethseda net launcher for a day now, and it refuses to even let me download the program despite me having a working steam installion with a linked steam account. i just keep getting the following error below. Ive installed the skyrim creation kit the same way and it works fine, and these error message is not helping me understand what the heck is the issue, since its giving me literally no information. what i have checked so far: -working internet connection. -ensured no AV programs blocking bethnet launcher. -ran program in admin. -checked for working fallout 4 install. not sure what to do at this point as id like to make some mods of my own, but i am literally unable to do so because the launcher wont even install for me.. :/ any help would be appreciated

problem found & solved. seems the games data directory was changed to a read-only state at some point which prevented Bodyslide from saving data.

just reinstalled CBBE and whenever i try to set a base shape (sevenbase) with body studio, it doesn't show up ingame. the body is there, but the shape doesn't work (vanilla shape/proportions). the textures and meshes are correct, but it doesn't save shape ingame. i refreshed the groups in bodyslide and made double sure that it exported to the right destination. my fallout.ini and falloutcustom.ini are both set to read-only with the correct changes in them to enable invalidation/etc. the problem started occurring after the latest fallout 4 patch, and i installed cherry hotlings newest CBBE physics mod. i uninstalled the mod and CBBE and did CBBE by itself and still no dice. some help would be appreciated

Just in case some of you have tried and gotten crashes, there is an easy work around that will let you use any HDT Body or Clothes in Skyrim SE. Just, of course, with no bounce or physics. just follow these four steps: 1) Download the newest version of the XPMSE Skeleton (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/68000/?) 2) Unpack the archive to a temporary directory 3) Find the folder "07 XPMSE3 (Recommended)". Pack THIS DIRECTORY ONLY into a new archive. 4) Drop the archive into Wrye Bash or NMM. Then install it. Now your HDT enabled body meshes and clothes can be used, but again, with no actual HDT effects. But they won't crash the game. this can be used as a temporary solution until more dedicated body mods and clothes can appear for this version.

I have been having a very persistant and game crippling error as of late. it can be with any weapon, vannila or modded, melee or guns and whenever i simply hit a random gunner or raider the game instantly CTDs. there is no pattern i have noticed yet, and the npcs that seem to have this are completely random. killing them with the console command: "kill" gives no issues, but the moment a any kind of attack hits them its CTD. followers and other npcs dont seem to trigger it either, its only when I attack them.
