  1. The mod request was for a game and they would be feeding these predators wild meat from the same animals that the predators are already eating. Of course you don't feed wild animals in real life. It makes them too comfortable around people and it could endanger the animal and other people.
  2. The Dwemer were harsh and even cruel. Per lore, they enslaved snow elves and blinded them, turning them into the falmer seen in Skyrim. But what if one bearded Dwemer was not evil but kind, and moved to and island across the north sea where it is bitter cold - to separate himself from his kin, and to protect a group of snow elves that he rescued. Perhaps he has a way to slow time in his underground living spaces where he and his snow elves friends live on to this day.... How long do dwemer and snow elves live anyway? In their spare time, they make stuff and he secretly visits Skyrim and leaves gifts here and there on the eve of the mid-winter' festival.. You get the picture.... I was a developer (engineering, business, and games) from the 80's until a few years ago but I am going blind and can barely type this post. Otherwise I'd write the mod myself. The mod may sound corny but it could be done in a lore friendly way. Obviously this mod couldn't be done this year but it'd be cool to have. There could be a quest or two - say another evil dwemer (Grinch) or other powerful being stole the presents and they must be recovered - or maybe something simple like fix father winter's sleigh, or whatever. Perhaps an abominable snowman (frost troll) carried off some reindeer and will eat them unless they are rescued.... Does this dwemer know a spell that lets his reindeer fly? And it only lasts until the sun comes up?
  3. We don’t need a whole new mod for this but any modder that modifies prices of items may want to consider that until the last century or so, diamonds were traditionally less valuable than colored gems like rubies and sapphires. The idea that diamonds are rarer than other precious gems is wrong. Compared to rubies and sapphires, diamonds are fairly common. Their perceived value is based on marketing in modern times (and market cornering). Also, a lot of gems considered only semi-precious today were traditionally considered precious (high valued) including amethyst, opals and even pearls. It’d be nice if Skyrim values reflected the older pecking order of those values. Likewise, while I don’t know if platinum is valued in Skyrim, I know that it was considered almost worthless. In the 1700’s, platinum was sometimes called “bastard silver" because sometimes people would find it hoping they found silver, only to be disappointed later.
  4. Edit note - problem resolved (mostly). I wish modders would make multiple mods instead of cramming changes of 10 different areas of the game into one "ultimate" mod. When I found the mod that caused my horse saddles to disappear, disabling that mod causes my armor and weapons to disappear from the game as they were added by that mod. So I had to choose between losing my saddles or losing my weapons and armor. So I guess I am stuck riding bare back until I can get alternate gear.
  5. I read that by default, the game cannot use more than 2 gig so you could be running out of RAM. I have 8 Gig of RAM with Win 7 64-bit but I had the same problems. turning off a bunch of mods made my CTD go from every 10 min to every 6 hours or so. I read that there is an extender that allows the game to use 4 gig but the download has been removed so I don't know if its compatible with the current Skyrim version. Also, I don't know if it works with the script extenders.
  6. I got this problem resolved but anyone using a mod that requires Script Dragon needs to be aware that the author's site linked from the Nexus has a zip file named Script_Dragon_1.5.26.0.zip but that zip contains an older version of the ScriptDragon.dll file that is not compatible with the latest version of Skyrim. You can get the real 1.5.26.0 version of ScriptDragon from HERE: After I got the correct versions of the dll's loaded, GRHotKeys worked fine. I did get an initialization error with the 103 build of GRHoetKeys but the 100 build worked fine.
