  1. nah ur right it is a vanilla weapon from FNV I didn't realize it was illegal to do that I guess I'll have to figure it out for myself. thanks for the info
  2. Hey I was wondering if someone good at modding could tell me if it would be possible to extract euclid's c finder from FNV and turn it into a mod for fallout 3. If so I think I can figure it out myself...........maybe I have made some tiny mods before like editing armor and guns ect. but If anyone wanted to make the mod that'd be even better. any thoughts?
  3. I'm trying to run it without mods. I moved Fallout to my D: drive but it still crashed after 5 or so minutes. ok just gonna throw this on out here, and its a long shot at best. I had a problem with fallout newvegas and steam cloud sync, cloud sync would crash new vegas. I had to disable it to run without crashes and it sucks because you lose achievements, but you could try that.
  4. Yes, overwriting the save is what I meant. If that save is corrupt you'll (probably) get a CTD. youre are actually very likely to CTD when overwriting a save if its corrupt. if that happens, go to your saves folder and look for anything with a .tmp extension. the .tmp indicates a corrupted save. you would then need to delete all three files (save.fos, save.fos.bak, save.tmp) and load the previous save at least, in my experience anyway sweet ty for the info, I have seen those .tmp extensions before but I didn't know that they were because of a corrupt save.
  5. wow dude gluck! thats goign to be sweet and a whole s*** ton of work
  6. are you using any mods man? I had trouble with my new windows 7 comp I just built 2 months ago, but is was just a constant black screen when I loaded fallout. and I can't really remember what i did to fix it.
  7. Sorry I know you want details on that mod, I don't have them, BUT I wanted to let you know about FOMM Fallout Mod manger. It installs/uninstalls mods for you, very easy and safe. also don't worry about large mods, just because you drag them into your data folder does not mean they run. they only run if you check there boxes (under data) in the fallout launcher.
  8. I am aware that there are many reasons for CTD, I don't have any corrupted saves (that I know of) and I rarely experience CTD's. I have had problems with saves in the past, and I have had 2 bad saves (out of 500) this playthrough, I'm simply wondering if there was a way to tell for sure. The file size suggestion is interesting I hadn't thought of that and will check it out the next time I think I have a bad save on my hands. If anyone else has anymore information feel free to chime in anytime. P.S blackrampage are you talking about overwriting the save or something else? I havn't had trouble overwriting a corrupted save with a CTD before so im just wondering.
  9. all im saying is disable all your mods and see if you can enter super duper mart area. that should be the very first thing you should try.
  10. He dudes I was wondering if theres a program out there that can test fallout saves for file corruption? I can tell when a save becomes corrupted as the constant repeatable CTD's kind of give it a way, but sometimes its harder to tell as the game is so buggy. Bottom line is im sick of worrying that im goign to lose all of my progress again, and im sick of maintaing ten million different saves. Anyone know of a surefire way to tell a save is no good?
  11. your problem is a mod man plain and simple, save beofre super duper mart, quit, uncheck one mod, reload save, and enter super duper mart. Do this one at a time untill you find the culprit. Disable your merged patch for now as well. This has happend to me many times and it can be a pain to find the trouble maker.
  12. man the game isn't even playable without mods, some of the modders blow the developers away. In fact Fallout New vegas even dare I say stole/borrowed quite a few ideas from mods that were developed for fallout 3 If the game can be modded I'll never buy the console versions, mods are a gift from god:)
  13. actually I just wanted to see if I was the only one who felt like FNV was seriously lacking, pointless yes but i was bored. I don't hate new vegas I was just disapointed I didn't realize untill recently it was made by a different team, it shows.
  14. Is FO3 better or worse then FNV in your opinion? For me FO3 is much better I can't really put my finger on most of the reasons I feel this way, but one thing I noticed was FNV areas are boring to explore, no good loot no interesting areas and no easter eggs. Three times I have started a FNV game and put about 20-30 hours on it and got bored, I just can't seem to finish this game, even with mods I can't do it. Now im back on my 6th FO3 heavily modded playthrough. I will say that "A world of pain" mod for FNV has been the only thing that managed to keep my attention.
  15. hey thanks for letting me know, to bad he had to get himself banned right when i was gonna try that mod........i shoulda downloaded it months ago
