  1. Thanks Juice wil give that a try. Ill let you know how things trun out. UPDATE: worked great Juice right up until tryed to export it. Got to thinking and started trying some other files. I could not get any files to export. Want back to the 3DSMax Nifsckope plug in page. All the documentation there is for 3DSMax 2010. So I dug out MAX 2010 32bit. and exported the file on the first try. Now most of the tutorials I have been watching all use Max 2012, but most of those are for Skyrim. I still have to try Max 2012 32bit and see if that works.
  2. Hello everyone, I could use a little help. I have created my own body for fallout NV, using 3ds max 2012 64bit. I can't seem to get it to export right. Every time I try to expot the body.nif, 3dsMax crashes on me. I have spent the last week digging around on Wiki, Youtube, Bethesda forum, Nexus forum and others. I can not find any good tutorials for rigging and exporting the body. I do have the NIfSkope and the plugin for max. Can anyone please point me to some good tutorials in this area? basicly what I am trying to do rigg the body I made to work with the Compatability Skeleton - BnB BodyExtender FAFF NVG and eport it for game use.
  3. Ok so I dumped my Fallout NV so I could do a clean install. I made sure to delete the file folder and the .ini folder under my games before reinstalling. Now everytime I try to start the game I get this error message form steam. "Failed to start game" (app already running) See the steam support site for more information Now when I go to the support site this is what i see Failed to Start the Game (Missing Executable) I see the error "Failed to Start the Game (Missing Executable)" when launching a game through Steam. What can I do? This error results from the improper delivery of necessary game files. Please follow the steps below to initiate a small download of the missing content: Completely exit Steam. Navigate to your Steam installation folder (~C:\Program Files\Steam) Delete the 'appcache' folder. Restart your computer and attempt to launch the game through Steam If the issue persists, it may be that a program on your machine is interfering with the proper delivery of game files: Please temporarily uninstall any applications listed in our Programs Which May Interfere with Steam. Additionally, it is possible that anti-virus software is reporting game files as malicious. Now I have tryed what was listed on the support page a few times, still getting the same error. I checked the list of programs that steam says may cause problems and i am only running one of them. Avast. Tryed shuting off Avast and still get the same problem. I have tried Launching the game using FalloutNV.exe, FalloutNVLauncher.exe, NMM and steam, all give the same error. When using the FalloutNV.exe I get the slpash screen that allows you to set the game setting, which never use to happen. Before the clean install my game ran fine never had any problems. I have not added or removed any other programs. So now I am here asking for help. Has anyone else ran into this problem??
  4. I could use a little help with my mod.. I am using 3ds max 2010 I have all the niftool plugins. I am working on a fallout NV mod. I am able to import my characters mesh, textures and skeleton with out any problems. I am new to modding fallout NV. what I am trying to do right now is get my character to so up nude in my game.... Yes i know there are hundreds of mods that will do this for me. but am trying to learn it for my self. now after deleting the underwear and then exporting everything back to Fallout NV and loading the game my character shows up blank ...all i see is the head and no body.. I have been searching for day for a tutorial for this but cant seem to find one. Does anyone have a link that could help me... or point me in the right direction?
  5. hit ctrl+f and do a search for "[fonts]" I need every thing under the [fonts] heading.. should be about 10 to 15 lines of code
  6. could someone please post a copy of their Fallout_default.ini file...or more to the point just the information under the heading [Fonts] I was trying a new mod and when i want to make a back up copy of my .ini file i made a shortcut instead of copy and paste.. (dumb-ass) and now i don't like the mod and need to change things back... I do not want to do a fresh install.
  7. I have to start by saying i am new to the fallout community.. Ok I have all the downloadable content and have my game updated to the latest release... all mods are turned off. and still have a problem with all my NPC's just sliding across the screen,,, there is no walking or running animation. everything works right besides that.. NPC's even work right inside a dialog box.. but out side of a dialog box they just slide along.. any ideals?
