  1. Hey everyone! I hoped for something like a decent hunting mod for fallout for a long time now. It would be so great to just go into the wild wasteland to prey on the (un)natural post-nuclear wildlife. Only thing is: the world of New Vegas is too crowded for a decent "hunting in the wilderness" feeling. So my idea is this: (Make a total coversion of the original game) - Get rid of all items in the game world that are not part of the actual Wasteland (towns, viallges, camps, NPCs, critters, markers etc.). Just leave the trees, rocks, roads and stuff. Is there already a mod with a complete Empty Mojave Wasteland World? Does anyone know? - Repopulate the world with "huntable" Fallout-Animals (Geckos, wild Brahmin, Yao Guai, Deathclaws, Coyotes etc.) and alter them so that they are much faster, and much more easier to scare away. They have to be scarce so that it's a bit of a challange to actually find them. - Build some scattered hunting camps/lodges at the corners of the Mojave Wasteland with shops, NPCs and stuff The Mojave Wasteland has so many interesting landscapes that it would be a great experience (Black-Moutain, the snowy ski-Lodge area, the Damn area etc.) People could create Hunting quests in the outposts for Wasteland hunters to complete. I imagine something like The Hunter in the Fallout universe. ...but it would be sooooooo time consuming to build such a thing... and there probably wouldn't be enough people who'd enjoy something like that :(
  2. Maybe it's a wrong flag in the mesh or a problem with the texture. Does anyone have a clue?
  3. Hi folks I hope someone can help me. I just noticed that there seems to be a problem with the New Vegas Version of the Wasteland Wanderer Outfit. There seems to be a part missing in the mesh on the left sleeve. Look here: Screenshot inGame I looked it up in NifSkope and found the damaged part: Screenshot NifSkope I'm no expert on .nif files. Can someone identify the problem and maybe offer a solution? Would be great! Now that I noticed it that bug really stings my eye ;-) Thanks!
  4. I suspected something like this. I'll try that. Thanks!
  5. Great! That's done it, thanks! The body is still caucasian though but I'll fix that too sooner or later :-) Does anyone who wants to play my mod with african-americans have to enabled it?
  6. Thanks for the clue. Sadly that doesn't solve my problem. I used FOMM to make my master file... (open with Plugin Editor and then save as master file) Does it work for you ortuzero?
  7. I've had bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 in my Fallout.ini but no relevant data in my archive invalidation text file. Nevertheless I turned bInvalidateOlderFiles to 0 and deleted my archive invalidation file for testing but nothing changed. I also tried creating a new NPC from an already existing one (Three Dog). The result: in game the "new" Three Dog was white as snow. When testing I'm just running Fallout3.esm and my mod. I tried making a completely new mod with just a new african-american NPC. Nothing changed. That's what it looks like with my own NPC: http://www.avataristic.de/misc/skin_problem_01.jpg
  8. Hey everyone! I have another really annoying problem that I can't seem to solve. I've created an NPC in G.E.C.K. and made him african-american race. In the editor all seems fine and the correct skin-color is shown. In-game on the other hand he has a white/caucasian skin color. No matter what I try - the in-game color won't change! Anyone know this wierd effect? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks! PS: Seems my game is racist :(
  9. Thanks... that settles it then. I have to accept it
  10. As I thought... that's a shame. Thanks anyway  You mean the pipboy light creates shadows on static objects? Never realised that... But even if I created a "false sun" with it the actual sunlight would still be shining through, won't it?
  11. Hi everyone! I tried searching google and this forum but didn't find an answer to my problem. I'd like to create shadows in an exterior cell. An invisible Object (preferably a plane) that blocks sunlight or that creates a shadow would do. Does anyone know if that's possible? I need it for a small modification where I built a roof out of several static objects in the open wasteland. But under the roof, there's always bright daylight, which hasn't got a very realistic feel to it. Can anyone help please? Thanks!
